Chapter 257: The Healing Process
Medicine King Hall.
Ye Cheng's clone, Sun Zhongjing, began retrieving various medicinal herbs from his storage soul tool, carefully formulating a potion based on Bo Saixi's condition. Most of the ingredients came from the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, a treasure trove of rare celestial herbs, which he then combined with other medicinal plants to achieve the best possible effect.
Bo Saixi's physical injuries weren't the real problem the real issue was the remnants of Asura God's power lingering inside her body. That energy was incredibly stubborn. If Ye Cheng forcibly expelled it using the power of the Ten Directions Transcendent Pagoda, it would put immense strain on her already fragile body, potentially even damaging her soul beyond repair.
A brute force solution was out of the question. The only way to remove it safely was through a specially formulated medicinal bath.
Fortunately, the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was rich in rare herbs. And the celestial herbs in this world weren't limited to just the few mentioned in the original novel. Many of them were unique to the Douluo Continent, their existence tied to the ancient gods and divine beasts that had perished in the Divine Realm War.
When those beings fell, the energy they left behind was absorbed by the planet itself, leading to the birth of an astonishing variety of mystical herbs with extraordinary properties.
Without Sun Zhongjing's unparalleled medical knowledge, Ye Cheng would have been no better than Dugu Bo, who had hoarded a mountain of treasures without knowing how to properly utilize them.
Sun Zhongjing's expertise in medicinal compounds was flawless. He didn't waste entire plants but rather extracted only the most effective parts a single leaf, a thorn, a drop of sap, or a single petal. By precisely combining these elements, he crafted a life saving potion with maximum potency.
Had this been left to a clueless person like a certain someone they probably would have just thrown all the herbs into a pot and boiled them into a useless soup.
Not only would that waste a significant amount of medicinal power, but it would also weaken the effectiveness of the treatment.
Medical science should always be handled by professionals.
Sun Zhongjing, with his mastery of both medicine and alchemy, wasn't the strongest fighter, but he was undeniably the most indispensable figure within any faction. Not only could he heal injuries, but he could also refine pills and potions that enhanced cultivation, strengthened the body, and accelerated soul power growth.
In the future, when the academy expanded, he would even establish a formal discipline of pharmacology, just like soul engineering, to train a new generation of talent in White Cloud City.
Before long, a completed potion appeared in his hands.
Sun Zhongjing didn't require any alchemical tools he could directly extract the essence of the herbs and fuse them without needing to boil them, skipping an entire process and achieving the perfect result instantly.
He then handed the finished medicine to a waiting courier.
The courier, a Soul Saint level expert, wasted no time, using his full speed to rush toward the City Lord's Mansion!
"Looks like the construction of teleportation gates needs to be prioritized soon," Sun Zhongjing mused, stroking his long beard as he watched the courier vanish into the distance.
Teleportation gates, as the name implied, were portals that allowed instant travel between two locations. In the future, he had seen these gates in video projections they could instantly transport someone across thousands of miles in the blink of an eye. Definitely a cutting edge technology.
With the genius soul engineer Xuan Ji on their side, crafting such a portal wouldn't be difficult if they had the necessary materials. The problem was, those materials didn't exist yet. They would have to wait for technological advancements before they could begin production.
City Lord's Mansion.
"Take this young lady and clean her up. I will begin her medicinal bath treatment shortly," Ye Cheng instructed, handing over the blood stained, tattered clothed Bo Saixi to two maids.
When the potion arrived, Bo Saixi would need to soak in a medicinal bath. If her body was still covered in dirt and dried blood, the effectiveness of the treatment would be compromised.
"Understood," the two maids replied, carefully supporting the heavily injured Bo Saixi as they carried her to the bathing chamber.
Ye Cheng had already stabilized her condition, preventing her injuries from worsening. A bath wouldn't do her any harm.
Some time later, the potion finally arrived.
After receiving it from the courier, Ye Cheng made his way to a side hall, where Bo Saixi had already been cleansed. Now, she lay fully submerged in a large wooden bath, her delicate figure hidden beneath the steaming water. A controlled flame burned beneath the tub, keeping the water at an optimal temperature.
The two maids, seeing Ye Cheng enter, wisely took their leave, closing the door behind them.
"Click."
With the door shut, the room now held only Ye Cheng and Bo Saixi. A man and a woman, alone together.
Ye Cheng stepped forward and gazed at the unconscious blue haired beauty in the bath. He remained completely unfazed by the scene before him, his expression indifferent.
Did they think he was some inexperienced virgin who would be flustered by this?
As a modern day transmigrator, he had long since reached the realm of seeing countless H scenes while keeping a heart of steel. This little moment? Child's play.
Pulling out the potion's stopper, he allowed a fragrant medicinal scent to fill the air.
The amount of liquid in the bottle was surprisingly small only about a spoonful. But as he gently poured it into the bath, the clear water instantly transformed into a shimmering rainbow hue.
Now, the real treatment could begin.
Ye Cheng summoned the Ten Directions Transcendent Pagoda, and in an instant, a brilliant divine radiance enveloped Bo Saixi, shielding both her body and soul.
The magnificent ten layered pagoda hovered above, casting its sacred glow over the entire bath.
Then, Ye Cheng began to move his hands in precise motions, channeling divine energy into Bo Saixi's body. He carefully guided her chaotic meridians into alignment while simultaneously compressing and isolating the scattered remnants of Asura God's power, gathering them into a single point for easier extraction.
As expected, the Asura energy didn't cooperate. It violently resisted, thrashing within her body like a beast desperate to destroy her from the inside.
But with the medicinal bath enhancing her resilience and the Ten Directions Transcendent Pagoda protecting her, the malevolent force could do nothing. It was like a raging storm crashing against an unbreakable fortress completely powerless.
The human body was an intricate system.
Bo Saixi's injuries were so severe that, had she not encountered Ye Cheng, even if she had miraculously survived, she would have been permanently crippled her soul power shattered, leaving her bedridden for life.
Healing soul techniques had their limits. They could restore injuries, but not all wounds could be mended. Even the legendary Nine Star Begonia, the strongest healing martial soul, couldn't guarantee a full recovery from every condition.
But Ye Cheng wasn't relying on ordinary healing methods.
With the combined power of divine medicine, soul energy manipulation, and the Ten Directions Transcendent Pagoda, he was going to do what even the gods couldn't fully restore Bo Saixi, body and soul.
