Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

Trying to understand his feelings, Rupak said, " am authorised to tell tell you only this much. All the details will be known in Arthala. We will go to Arthala after meeting Maharaj Chakradhar of Kundar. If you are very curious about the respected Kaan, then a lot will be known about him in Kundar itself.

"We are going to Kundar; we will meet the king there. That means I can get close to that wicked Sudas to punish him. I was just waiting for this opportunity... Vidhan's heart was filled with a mixed feeling of joy and anger. Punishing that sinner is the only aim of my life. I don't know about Arthala and Jambudweep, but I will definitely go to punish that wicked person.

Vidhan was lost in his thoughts when the archer sitting on the neem tree shot a vermillion-colored arrow on the ground, which was an indication of the first level of possible danger. The archer said in a slightly louder voice than usual, "One woman, one young man, one dog." All the soldiers spread out in the courtyard with their weapons in a moment.

"No problem, it must be my mother and brother," said Vidhan, and he stood up and looked. In a few moments the figures became clear, and it was confirmed that they were his mother and Sattu.Mother had gone to the neighboring village with Sattu to buy things from the market. She wanted to return before dusk, but due to Sattu's nature of collecting information, she got delayed.

Both were stunned to see the condition of the house. Mother became frightened after seeing the soldiers. Sattu was also frightened but was trying his best not to show fear on his face. His black dog came running to Ruby, who was lying unconscious, and started sniffing her while wagging his tail. Seeing Mother's frightened face, Vidhan went ahead and told her that the soldiers were friendly.

But Still mother's fear did not subside. Vidhan made them sit in the hut in the remaining kitchen and narrated the entire incident. Mother's fear increased further after hearing the incident, but curiosity was dancing in Sattu's eyes.'Earth bending,' 'Arthala,' 'Emperor,' 'Army,' 'King of the Earth,' 'Crisis on Jambudweep',' and 'Amarkhand'—collecting information was Sattu's favorite hobby, so he was thrilled to hear all this.

After narrating the entire incident, all three remained silent. Mother kept staring at Vidhan and then suddenly hugged him to her heart and started crying profusely. He remained still hugging his mother. After crying for a long time, Mother herself calmed down.

She did not say anything and got up while arranging herself and started taking out grains from the baskets kept in the room to cook food. Vidhan saw that the expressions on Mother's face had changed completely. The face, which had a dark shadow of fear a few moments ago, was now emotionless. He found this behavior of mother very strange. He got up and went to Mother and said in a low voice, "Mother, I am not leaving you and going to Arthala; I will just go to Kundar, take revenge from that sinner, and come back.

Mother did not say anything, just kept looking into his eyes, then holding his face with both hands, kissed his forehead, and again got busy in her work. Vidhan kept standing there thinking about something, then came out of the hut with Sattu.

Everyone was waiting for him outside.

"I accept your request," said Vidhan.

"Very good, sir, thank you for understanding our problem and your duty. It is already night now, so we will start our journey tomorrow morning as soon as the Sun rises." Rupak humbly thanked him.

The soldiers made all the arrangements for the night's rest in the courtyard with lots of luggage loaded on the horses. By the time the soldiers completed their arrangements, Mother had also prepared food. Sattu served food to everyone. After eating, all the soldiers went to rest at their designated places.

The sleeping arrangements of Mahavira, Rupak, and Anuj were different from theirs. Four soldiers were still guarding the courtyard, and an archer was stationed on the neem tree. The horse, which had run away in fear of the fire, was grazing grass outside the courtyard. Vidhan brought it and tied it near Ruby. Sattu's dog was sitting near Ruby. Anuj cleaned the medicine from Ruby's wound and applied new medicine, then he changed the medicine on the wounds on Vidhan's body too. As soon as the medicine was applied, there was such a burning sensation that Vidhan had to use all his willpower to stop screaming; gradually, the burning sensation reduced in a few moments. and he was at peace again.
