Chapter 22 - Chapter 26 She has come to Nan'an

When An Ran woke up, she found herself lying in a bright and tidy room. She instinctively sat up, but the sudden movement caused a sharp pain at the back of her hand, making her cry out in pain.

"Ouch..."

The young nurse nearby heard the noise, turned around, and walked over with a smile. "You're awake. Don't move around. This IV bag is almost finished. How are you feeling?"

Looking at the beautiful nurse and the IV drip on her hand, An Ran realized that she must have been brought to the hospital by a kind person.

She felt utterly useless for ending up in the hospital after saving someone. Not knowing how that person was doing, she asked, "Nurse, do you know how the person who was with me is doing?"

The nurse was taken aback for a moment, then suddenly understood. "Are you talking about the man who was with you? He was brought back together with you and has been arranged in another ward. Don't worry."

An Ran nodded, feeling relieved.

"Your IV is finished. I'll call the doctor to come over and check you again. If everything is fine, you should be able to be discharged today." The young nurse said as she removed the IV and then stepped out of the room.

Watching the nurse's departing figure and then looking around at the luxurious ward, An Ran swore under her breath.

Who hates her this much? Don't they know she has no money? How could they arrange for her to stay in such a high-end ward? How much does it cost for one night here?

Then she saw the words on the opposite building: Nan'an First People's Hospital. So she was in Nan'an. It seemed like even the heavens wanted her to come to Nan'an.

No, An Ran suddenly remembered she had escaped. If the hospital asked her to contact her family, what would she do?

The more she thought about it, the more she felt she couldn't stay here. It was better to leave.

Thinking this, she went to the wardrobe and found her clean and neatly folded clothes. Feeling guilty, she put on her clothes, walked to the door, and opened it a crack.

The whole corridor was eerily quiet. No wonder it's the high-end ward area.

Taking advantage of the empty hallway, An Ran lowered her head and easily escaped from the hospital.

Not long after she escaped, in another high-end ward during the sweltering summer, the room was filled with cold air.

Mu Xingfeng sat on the bed, his cold and stern face exuding an aura of iron-bloodedness and intimidation, silently staring at the people at the foot of the bed.

A principal doctor and two young nurses at the foot of the bed were trembling under his intimidating gaze, not daring to make a sound.

He Yushu helplessly massaged her forehead. She knew her son very well. He was not good at expressing himself, cold on the outside but warm on the inside. His current state was mostly because he was worried about the girl who saved him, but with his lack of words and stern face, he could freeze someone to death. What would others think?

She stepped forward and said, "Xingfeng, didn't they tell you? That girl sneaked out on her own. Since she could leave on her own, it means her condition is not serious."

Mu Zhenzong also added, "Yes, if you want to know about the girl's condition, just send someone to investigate."

"Shouldn't we investigate?" Mu Xingfeng retorted.

Wang Jianye immediately replied, "Yes, we should definitely investigate. Xingfeng is a flood hero. She saved a flood hero. Such a person must be properly rewarded. I'll send someone to investigate right away."

Hearing Wang Jianye's words, Mu Xingfeng's expression finally softened a bit. He Yushu gave a look to the doctor and nurses, who then hurriedly left as if granted amnesty.
