Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: Strongest Defense: Earth Escape

Spider webs and the Wild Hair Lion's Mane Jutsu were simply a perfect match.

Gripping one of the spider silks, Naruto flicked it upwards. As chakra was infused, the entire web grew longer, tougher, and more resilient, but without increasing in thickness. The principle of this technique meant it wouldn't thicken, a point Naruto and Jiraiya still needed to research further.

The web, over a meter in diameter, missed the Bat-woman; she accelerated and dodged it. The web struck the top of a piece of machinery, which Naruto controlled with chakra, wrapping it several times to ensure it wouldn't fall off. This web wasn't woven by Naruto, so he couldn't adjust its spacing or stickiness. Thus, Naruto couldn't achieve the level of Parker (from Earth, probably) who could stick to something and fly. He had to wrap it.

The only one in the Naruto world who played with spider webs skillfully was killed by Naruto during the Chūnin Exams. Unless Orochimaru used Edo Tensei to bring him back, Naruto had no way to learn how to make webs thicker, stickier, or adjust their spacing.

With a strong pull, he slingshotted forward, gaining speed rapidly.

"Swish."

Naruto grazed past her.

"You…" The Bat-woman tried to speak again.

Gripping the silk, Naruto circled the machinery once, then reappeared from the other side, striking at her. This time, Naruto suddenly extended the silk, barely touching the edge of her wing.

After another turn, Naruto noticed a sword had appeared in her hand, waiting for him.

"With such straightforward attacks, who would get hit a second time?!" the Bat-woman shrieked.

You underestimate Spider-man.

Hearing this, Naruto produced another spider web from his other hand, flinging it to wrap around another piece of machinery above. With a forceful pull, his body changed direction in mid-air, and the hand he released immediately produced another spider web, flinging it towards her. While the Bat-woman dodged, Naruto again completed a change of direction in mid-air.

A series of maneuvers left the Bat-woman dizzy. She barely managed to evade a third close-quarters attack by lowering her altitude.

Naruto, using chakra to adhere to the machinery, created five shadow clones.

You might evade one, but what about six?

If six aren't enough, don't you believe I have six hundred more?

On the other side, Gaara was also engaged in combat, fighting the same Lightning Release user from the original story. Gaara, carrying only a single gourd of sand, was in a passive defensive state.

"Thunderbolt Flash!"

Her hands crackled with electricity, and two lightning whips lashed out at Gaara.

"Earth Release: Mud-Rock Sand Wall!"

A blond-haired figure descended from the sky, retreating while simultaneously erecting three cubic walls. These were walls of earth, stone, and sand, each infused with magic. In games, sand and ice could also be used to create walls, but sand would collapse, and ice would melt.

"Sand Wall, Sand Wall…"

After erecting more than twenty sand walls in a row, the clone looked back at the woman breaking through, then turned to Gaara with a wry smile, his eyes filled with encouragement, reluctance, and a sense of farewell: "No need to thank me, my name is Tiezhu."

"Ah!!" The clone charged fearlessly towards the woman crackling with electricity. He was buying time for Gaara to infuse chakra into the sand walls he had just created.

This was the true capability of Naruto's Logistics Support Medical Center.

No matter who you are, or what jutsu you use, I can cooperate with you.

Correspondingly, no matter what jutsu you use, I can counter you.

The diverse array of items in the storehouse, combined with Naruto's wild imagination and knowledge, could force you to engage him in taijutsu. And taijutsu had always been Naruto's strong suit.

Although he might not be able to defend against opponents who are too strong in the later stages, didn't the late stages of Naruto just boil down to summoning giant mechs and taijutsu brawls anyway? Were other ninjutsu useful in the later stages? Not at all. Even the Tsuchikage's Dust Release was useless against the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki and the Ōtsutsuki Clan.

Therefore, Naruto never learned other ninjutsu, except for the Wild Hair Lion's Mane Jutsu, which he learned for fun.

Naruto always had a clear self-positioning: a Mage Tank.

"Tank" means a meat shield, thick-skinned and capable of taunting.

"Mage" is where it gets interesting.

How do mages allocate their skill points?

Things like fireballs, wind blasts, and water cannons are for novices.

Gandalf, a famous mage bearing the weight of the world, taught us through his own experience:

A mage should put all points into HP and stamina. Max out skills like one-handed sword, two-handed sword, block, critical hit, charge, whirlwind strike, decapitation, and armor penetration. For magic, just put a point into Holy Light.

The Ancient One, another mage similarly bearing the weight of the world, praised this and left a message: "Brother, you're just missing a portal."

So Naruto only put points into a Seven-Colored Flashing Light Illumination Pill and a portal. Everything else was poured into close combat. As for the remaining Sage Mode, Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, and Six Paths Sage Mode, those were all considered buffs.

Gaara, having received a large supply of sand, was in his element, and Naruto's fight was also a back-and-forth affair. His opponent, aside from being able to fly and use genjutsu, had no other strengths. However, Naruto had a genjutsu detector: the Nine-Tails.

Although she could fly, the space here was at most seventeen or eighteen meters high. Naruto didn't want to fight while jumping, otherwise, he could reach her if he bounced up.

Under the erratic movements of Naruto and his clones, the overwhelmed Bat-woman had one of her wings sliced off by Naruto's sword. If he hadn't felt it was too bloody, Naruto would have torn her apart. Those with wings always ended up torn apart.

"Ah…" The Bat-woman shrieked as she fell to the ground. From start to finish, she didn't even last half a minute. Too weak.

"Stop," a kindly-faced man with glasses and a book, looking benevolent, walked in and said.

"Who are you?"

Who are you? You tell me to stop and I should stop? You're not Red-Haired Shanks; why should I give you face?

Naruto ignored him and continued to take out a rope to tie up the Bat-woman. Since the Bat-woman had spoken English earlier, her leader, Hyde, must also understand it.

"I am Hyde, the owner of this place," Hyde continued his deceptive expression.

Naruto knew who he was: the final boss of Naruto the Movie 2, who used a false facade to deceive everyone in order to obtain the Gelel Stone Vein.

Stepping on the rope to pull it tighter, Naruto clapped his hands, satisfied with the binding. This person attacked the Land of Wind; it's better for Gaara to handle him. After all, he himself was just a bystander.

Naruto reached out, pulling a clone whose mouth was steaming with white vapor nearby, and asked, "You're the one in charge?"

"Yes."

"So, you ordered the attack?"

"Hmm. These are all misunderstandings; you can listen to my explanation. I was misled in this matter…" Hyde only came out to stop them when he saw his subordinate was about to be defeated, hoping to persuade them to stop. He didn't want to act and reveal his identity.

"I'm not listening."

Naruto grabbed the clone and directly threw it at Hyde. The clone shouted in mid-air, "Long live… Hyde!" He wanted to say "Long live Hyde-la," but the name didn't have "la," so he had to pause.

"Boom!"

The clone exploded.

Naruto followed closely behind. Since he said he ordered the attack, Naruto, as Gaara's friend, had reason to fight him. As for the plot, Naruto didn't care at all. The boss was right in front of him; just fight him and be done with it. Why care so much? And he was here to abduct a snow weasel, not to find mineral veins. Who cared about all their affairs?

Now that the snow weasel was in hand, it was a good chance to practice.

Hyde, who had dodged the clone's attack, didn't react in time.

If you're cheering for me, why are you blowing up on me?
