Chapter 142 - Chapter 142: Punch After Punch

Naruto's attack, closely following the exploding clone, was dodged by Hyde, who feigned clumsiness. Hyde was strong; the Gelel Stone hidden on the back of his hand provided him with vitality, allowing for rapid recovery after injury. After transforming, he would gain two pairs of dragonfly-like wings,

allowing him to fly and manipulate his wings to deform and attack. His attack style closely resembled Doctor Octopus. That's why Naruto had used spider webs and the Wild Hair Lion's Mane Jutsu against the Bat-woman earlier; he was practicing on her. It would be a disservice to the audience not to use the Spider-man style against Doctor Octopus.

"Young man, what is the meaning of this?"

Hyde was still acting. He didn't want to fight. Once the capabilities of the Gelel Stone were exposed, he wouldn't be able to trick Timut into finding the mineral vein for him. The activation of the vein also required the royal Timut.

Naruto, who preferred to remain silent in combat, executed a low sweep kick that Hyde dodged. Then, placing his hands firmly on the ground, he inverted himself, retracting his left leg to kick Hyde's chin. Hyde raised his book to block. Naruto then bent his right leg back, kicking towards Hyde's chest, which was again blocked by Hyde's arm.

Naruto used the force to retreat a few steps and created a clone.

Hyde, you might not know this, but the last person with extreme recovery abilities from a single orb was named Boros, and he was punched to death by a bald man.

White vapor wafted from the clone's mouth.

One-Punch Man Shadow Clone – Disposable Edition.

Naruto pressed forward, engaging in close combat to buy time for the shadow clone.

"Rasengan." The milky white orb, wielded by Naruto swinging on a spider web, was slammed into Hyde's chest. White represented happiness, and Naruto, having acquired the snow weasel, was indeed quite happy.

A wing appeared from Hyde's back, transforming into a pillar to push against the Rasengan. Seeing that he couldn't dodge, Hyde activated some of his transformation abilities.

The material formed by Hyde's transformed wings was very hard. In the original work, the Crown Prince, relying on the Nine-Tails Chakra Rasengan after his outburst, barely managed to shatter it. Naruto hadn't used Nine-Tails Chakra yet, so he couldn't break it.

Now you know to transform? Too late.

"Naruko, in our next life, let's still be…" Tiezhu said, white vapor coming from his mouth.

Humming the One-Punch Man theme song, Naruko grabbed Tiezhu and flung him away: "Get lost."

He also hung a spider web on Tiezhu's leg for good measure.

Naruto preferred not to talk during fights, but his clones didn't share that preference. I'm about to die, and you won't even let me say a few words? Wouldn't that be too stifling?

Naruto, timing it precisely, pulled the spider silk and flew away, revealing Tiezhu flying in from behind him. Hyde sidestepped, having already seen Naruto's earlier clone, so he was prepared. However, Naruto jumped back, grabbed the spider silk, and pulled Tiezhu back.

Tiezhu, turning in mid-air, enveloped himself in white vapor and roared, landing a punch on Hyde's back.

"Serious Punch!"

The secret technique – the immense strength accumulated during the final nine seconds before death – directly sent Hyde flying sideways, crashing through several cabins. Naruto ran to pursue him. He had seen Hyde form a shield with his back wings just before being hit, and with the Gelel Stone's regeneration, he likely wasn't dead yet.

"Boom!"

Tiezhu, having delivered his strongest blow, exploded. After all, it was a disposable version.

"Lord Hyde!" exclaimed Hyde's subordinate, who was battling the Sand Siblings.

Naruto, rushing to Hyde's side, discovered that this cabin was likely a control room or something similar, with many buttons around. This time there was no large equipment, so the spider silk couldn't be swung.

Hyde's back was a blurry mess, but it was regenerating, and his wings had already spread. His body color was changing, indicating he was transforming after realizing his opponent was strong.

Naruto activated his charge skill. Who would be idle enough to wait for you to transform? Transform or not, I don't care.

Hyde's back wings transformed into four thick arms reaching for Naruto. Naruto threw spider webs from each hand to the base of the large arms, pulling hard. Using the elasticity, Naruto straightened his legs and kicked the slowly rising Hyde in the back.

"Thud."

Hyde, who blocked with his wings, staggered from the kick.

"Rasengan!"

Another Rasengan was slammed onto Hyde.

"Crack…"

The shield, made from leftover scraps of the large arms, couldn't withstand two attacks and shattered. After using Rasengan, Naruto caught the thrown spider web and pulled Naruko, who was arriving, enveloped in white steam.

"Thud."

Another punch.

Hyde, with his four thick arms, was again sent flying, crashing through several more cabins. Naruto, seeing his clone about to explode, quickly grabbed the large arm flying backward beside him.

"Boom!"

If this arm counted as part of Hyde, then this explosion indeed hit someone. Cracks appeared at the ends of the two arms due to Naruko's explosion. Naruto, flying with Hyde, no longer knew where they were.

"You…"

"Rasengan."

One shot blocked Hyde's words. No pretense, just direct, no idle chatter with you.

"Snap." After prying the Gelel Stone from the back of Hyde's right hand with his Mithril Sword, Hyde stopped regenerating. Naruto now confirmed he was much stronger than the Crown Prince in the original story. In the original, this person suppressed the Crown Prince, while now, he was suppressing him. Years of training had paid off.

"…Cough… That's mine…" Hyde, lying motionless with severe injuries and without the Gelel Stone, coughed blood as he spoke.

"It's mine now."

"You can't… do this. I… can take you to find its… source. That is… infinite… power… unimaginable… power…" Hyde, seeing Naruto reply, tried to tempt him.

"Not interested."

I'm afraid I'd crush your spirit if I told you, but I actually just came to find a snow weasel.

While Naruto was having a blast, Hinata and her teammates and teacher were approaching the area.

"It should be in this general vicinity," Kiba complained.

Kurenai Yuhi pressed her hand, signaling Kiba to lower his voice: "Hinata, can you see anything?"

This kind of search mission was Team 8's specialty, so the task of "finding the lost snow weasel" was taken on by Kurenai. Weasels, being mustelids, have a strong body odor, making them particularly easy to find. They had expected to complete the mission quickly, but unexpectedly, they had followed the trail all the way to the Land of Wind.

"Byakugan."

After scanning the area, Hinata exclaimed in surprise, "Lord Jiraiya!?" Fearing she had misseen, she looked again, and indeed, it was Lord Jiraiya. If Lord Jiraiya was here, then wasn't Naruto-kun also nearby?

"Senior Jiraiya, where?" Kurenai asked, puzzled.

"Over there," Hinata said, mustering her courage and pointing in a direction.

"Is he with Naruto?"

"No, he's alone."

"Then what is he doing?"

At this question, Hinata's face flushed instantly, and she shook her head vigorously, refusing to speak no matter how much they asked.

As they approached the small house, they heard Jiraiya's unique lecherous yells. The sound was truly unbearable. Kurenai had her team step back a few paces, then said, "Kiba, have Akamaru go send a message."

"Okay," Kiba said, setting Akamaru down.

Akamaru scurried to the front of the house, pushed the door open, and entered.

Less than two seconds later.

"Arf… owooh…" Akamaru yelped and ran out of the house. Following closely behind Akamaru was Hayate, frolicking happily. Hayate thought his mother had come to feed him, and he was very happy.
