Fragment: Corrupt Priest

The Vision
Hell was silent.
The city burned slowly. The flames licked the walls of the Church of the Pure Sun.
Eidan found himself in the priest's shoes. A simple man. One who had healed children, fed the poor, prayed for sinners.
He loved God more than anything.
> "But God did not answer… when corruption entered the Church."
The Betrayal
The nobles and inquisitors brought gold and sins. The faithful were evicted, robbed, sacrificed. He protested. He preached against them.
They accused him of heresy. Of blasphemy.
His own faithful, fearing the wrath of the Church, betrayed him.
He was tied to the stake, in the square he had blessed.
He prayed until the last second. But no miracle came. No voice. Only silence.
The Condemnation
> "Forgive me, Father, for believing that You were different from men."
The flames rose high. The pain was nothing compared to the disappointment.
His soul did not ascend to heaven. It descended.
He descended into the Abyss. Where the fallen angels greeted him with broken wings. And there, he composed his last liturgy.
A prayer made of curses, ashes, and wounds.
A chant that would devour faith itself.

Eidan opens his eyes
Two new spiritual scars have been imprinted on him.
An eternal hunger, which drives him to see every human being as food... or ally.
A fire of divine revolt, ready to ignite every spiritual hypocrisy.
But something inside Eidan has changed.
He is no longer a man seeking revenge.
He is a receptacle for all lost souls.
And as the priest's flames and the vampire's blood coexist within him, a new window opens.

Unites two incompatible Fragments. Gains power and pain from both. Increases hunger. Increases madness. But also... understanding.
