Aarav had just entered the bathroom but soon realized he hadn't brought his clothes with him.
Frustrated, he decided to step out, but then paused. He wasn't alone in his room, so he couldn't just walk out like that. Asking Pia for help was out of the question.
Aarav: "Great, now what? How am I supposed to go out like this?"
Confused Aarav stood still for a moment, then quietly opened the door to peek outside.
His eyes landed on Pia, who was asleep on the bed. She had been so exhausted that she'd fallen asleep sitting on the bed, still in her bridal outfit. She hadn't even changed her clothes.
When Aarav saw her sleeping, he couldn't help but stare.
Pia, in her bridal attire, looked stunning. The innocence on her face made him smile.
But then, snapping back to reality, the smile disappeared from his face.
Aarav: "She just fell asleep like that...kaisi ajib ladki hai, abhi kuch der pehle tak to kisi junglee billi ki trh lad rahi thi aur ab sote hue kitni masoom dikh rahi hai."
(What a strange girl! A while ago, she was talking non-stop like a wild cat, and now she looks so innocent while sleeping.)
Aarav sighed. "Aur ye me kya kar rha hu?? Khud se baate??? Let me just grab my clothes and get this over with. I'm tired too."
Aarav, dressed only in a towel, tiptoed towards the wardrobe.
He moved as quietly as possible, not wanting to wake Pia. Grabbing his clothes,
he rushed back to the bathroom as if he were the one embarrassed.
Aarav returned a little later, now wearing a t-shirt and lounge pants, and walked towards the bed. Pia was still asleep, but her heavy lehenga was sprawled across the bed, leaving no space for Aarav to lie down.
Aarav: "Look at her, sleeping so comfortably in MY room, on MY bed.
Well, she does look cute, but I'll have to wake her up. If she keeps sleeping in this heavy lehenga, she'll wake up with body aches."
Muttering to himself, Aarav called out to her in his usual brusque tone.
Aarav: "Hey! Wake up! Miss Rabbit, get up!"
Startled by his voice, Piya woke up and looked at him, confused.
Piya: "What happened?"
Aarav: "What do you mean 'what happened'? Apne is lehnge ko to dekho!!! Pure bed par fela hua hai..ab kya me niche zameen par sounga?? Aur bhulo matt, ye mera room hai !!!! "
(Look at this mess! Your lehenga is all over the bed. Am I supposed to sleep on the floor now? And don't forget, this is MY room!)
Annoyed by Aarav's attitude, Pia shot back.
Piya: "han han I know it's YOUR room. No need to remind me every five minutes. Aur ye mera lehnga hai , aese hi fela rahegaa !! Kya kar loge aap?? "
(And this is MY lehenga. It's going to stay like this. What will you do about it?)
Aarav glared at her, and Pia nervously avoided his gaze.
Piya: "Well... it's not my fault! You were in the bathroom for an hour. Was I supposed to just stand around and wait? And this lehenga is so heavy, what could I do?!"
Aarav: "Fine, fine, enough with the excuses. The bathroom is empty now, so go change and get rid of this heavy lehenga."
Without another word, Aarav turned and walked away.
"Ugh! Pata nahi kya khate hai ye? Jab bhi bolte hai karelaa jaisa kadva hi lagta hai !!!! " pia said while making a face.
(What's wrong with him? He always sounds so bitter, like a piece of bitter gourd.)
Aarav: "What? Did you say something?"
Pia had mumbled under her breath, so Aarav couldn't hear her clearly.
Pia: "Nothing! Maybe your ears are ringing."
Saying this, she quickly grabbed her clothes and rushed into the bathroom.
Aarav: "This girl... It hasn't even been two hours since she came to my room, and she's already driving me crazy. When will I get rid of her?"
About half an hour later,
Pia stepped out, wearing an oversized t-shirt and lounge pants borrowed from Sakshi. Her hair was left open, and despite her simple look, she looked adorable.
Aarav was still awake, working on his laptop. Hearing the door, he glanced at her briefly and then resumed his work.
Pia stood there, looking confused. Aarav noticed and, without taking his eyes off his laptop, spoke up.
Aarav: "Why are you standing there like that? If you're thinking of sharing the bed with me, forget it. And noo, I'm not sleeping on the couch either. This is my bed, and I'm sleeping here."
Pia: "Fine! I didn't want to share the bed with you anyway."
Pia grabbed a blanket from the wardrobe and settled on the couch. Just as she was about to lie down, Aarav walked over.
Pia: "Now what? Why are you standing here?"
Aarav: "Go sleep on the bed. I'll sleep on the couch."
Pia: "That's not necessary. I'm fine here. You go to sleep."
Aarav: "I said, go to the bed. Don't argue with me. I'm too tired for this."
Realizing it was too late for an argument, Pia quietly got up and went to the bed.
Aarav, equally exhausted, settled on the couch and fell asleep.
The Next Morning
At 7 a.m., Aarav woke up. He was used to waking up early, usually by 6 a.m., but the late night had made him oversleep.
Still groggy, he glanced at the bed to see Pia still sleeping.
Looking at her, Aarav's thoughts drifted to the events of the past day.
"What did I think would happen, and what's actually happening?
A girl I had never even met is now my wife, sleeping on my bed. I don't know what's right or wrong anymore. She might not have married me with bad intentions, but even so, I can never love her."
"You'll always be a stranger to me."
He said this softly, looking at Piy
a before grabbing his clothes and heading to the bathroom.
Aarav refuses to see Piya as his wife, and Pia has no feelings for him either. How will their married life work out?
