Chapter 133 - Chapter 132: Beidou's Last Stance

[Third Profession: ??? (Affected by profession characteristics, the system cannot detect specific information) (Awaiting Activation)]

[Activation Requirement: Do ??? to Osial's wife, Beisht]

Bai Luo: "???"

Hey... can you speak clearly? Do what to his wife?

Why, at a time like this, is your activation requirement still a question mark?

Don't tell me my Dendro Delusion is affecting you too?

As for the part about being affected by profession characteristics and the system being unable to detect specific information...

Alright, you don't need to explain. I get it all.

What's the difference between this pile of question marks and giving me nothing at all?

The classic "Blade-light Bro" who dashes in with no return, huh.

Alright then. Kirito, Kenshin, Hei.

The three brothers are all here.

Just missing a big sister to complete the set.

Unlike the slight smirk on Bai Luo's lips, the faces of the others did not look so good.

Beisht might not be famous, but her husband's name was far too well-known.

Osial. It was no exaggeration to say that they had all grown up hearing of his evil deeds.

When children were naughty, their parents would scare them by saying, "I'll throw you into the sea to feed Osial."

It could stop a child's crying; that wasn't just a saying.

Everyone was on high alert, cautiously watching the four giant serpent heads, not knowing what to do.

But Beisht did not deliver a fatal blow. Instead, she roared incessantly at the Alcor, the fin-like appendages on her back fully extended and trembling constantly.

It seemed... she was afraid of something.

"Kazuha, take Mr. Himura to the small boat on the side. I will strike one more time. If I can draw this hag's attention then, you all take the opportunity to leave immediately and catch up with the fleet."

Half a jug of wine down, Beidou's face already showed a hint of drunkenness, but her gaze towards Beisht was filled with fighting spirit and madness.

The mixture of wine and blood in her mouth did not taste good.

But the alcohol had done its job, driving away the fear that had just begun to sprout in her heart.

The Geo Archon could suppress Osial.

As a subject of the Geo Archon, what was to stop her from suppressing Osial's follower?

If the emperor can do it, so can I!

If the emperor can suppress it, so can I!

However, she had not completely lost her senses to the alcohol.

She decided to have Kazuha and Bai Luo leave on the small boat.

Of course, if others wanted to leave as well, she certainly wouldn't blame them.

After all, these sailors had families too.

Or rather, from the very beginning, she had decided to stay and face Beisht alone.

Beidou, the Uncrowned Dragon King.

Born for the sea, to die for the sea.

To die without regrets!

Pulling out the hairpin from her hair, Beidou handed it to the silent Kaedehara Kazuha behind her.

The leather gloves she wore had already split during the confrontation with Beisht, and her palms were covered in wounds.

To prevent her crew from knowing and affecting morale, she had used lightning to cauterize her wounds, which was why not much blood was visible.

The smell of burning flesh was completely masked by the rotten, fishy stench from Beisht, so no one had noticed her condition at all.

In fact, it wasn't just her hands. Even with Kazuha's wind cushioning her fall earlier, she was not doing well.

That mouthful of wine... had been to force down a mouthful of blood that was stuck in her throat.

If she were to strike one more time... she knew very well what the consequences would be.

"Take it. With this, the people in the fleet won't dare to have any funny ideas."

Reaching up, she removed the hairpin, and the long hair it held up slid down smoothly, falling onto Beidou's shoulders.

This was made from the bones of Haishan after she had slain it. Although not of the finest material, it was exceptionally hard and could even be used as a weapon. If you were hungry, you might even be able to cook a pot of bone broth with it.

She never went anywhere without it; it was the one thing that could best prove her identity.

"Captain..."

Holding Beidou's hairpin, Kazuha's arm trembled slightly.

"Say no more. I have high hopes for you, kid. Oh, right... if you make it back alive, give Ningguang a message for me. Tell her... that boiled cabbage stuff is no good. It's much more satisfying to drink and eat heartily. If there's a chance, I'll treat her to stir-fried meat slices at Wanmin Restaurant."

Beisht continued to roar, the deafening sound causing many of the ordinary sailors to cover their ears and squat down in pain.

The fishy sea breeze lifted Beidou's hair, but she simply tucked it behind her ear.

Shouldering her Blackcliff Slasher, she walked to the dragon-headed prow of the Alcor.

Sword pointed at the sea and sky, she intended to slay Beisht.

Under Kazuha's arrangement, a large portion of the crew had already decided to leave.

Only a small number, with no ties, remained steadfast at their posts.

Including the sailor who had thrown the Geo spear.

"I threw my Debate Club out there. I'm still waiting for the Captain to give me another one."

He scratched his white buzz cut and said with a hint of embarrassment.

It was hard for those who stayed, and it was just as hard for those who planned to leave.

A considerable number of them were being forcibly taken away by their friends.

As Beidou's subordinates, they understood their captain best, so they didn't create a clichéd "if we die, we die together" drama at a time like this.

As mentioned before, they might feel better staying, but their wives, children, and mothers at home would likely suffer for a lifetime.

Whether to leave or to stay, both were extremely painful choices.

So those who had families to worry about but still wanted to stay would be knocked out by those next to them, then carried onto the smaller warship, waiting for Beidou to create an opportunity for them to leave.

"Mr. Himura, let's go."

After arranging for the others, Kazuha came to Bai Luo.

The wind blew his hair into a mess, and even the usual calm expression on his face was crumpled and scattered by the wind.

He didn't mean to blame Bai Luo for not acting. After all, Bai Luo was just a passenger on this ship and had no obligation to fight for them.

What's more... Bai Luo had already saved him once.

Huixing was very talented, a rare genius of a navigator, so she had to live.

Suling was a famous blacksmith and couldn't die on this sea.

If Bai Luo was on the escape boat, perhaps the crew's chances of getting away would be much higher.

Everything was proceeding in an orderly manner.

Standing on the dragon's head, Beidou ripped off the remnants of the leather gloves on her wrist.

There was no point in wearing them now.

Her scorched right hand gently pressed against the dragon-headed prow of the Alcor.

"Old friend, let's go crazy one last time."

Purple lightning once again covered her entire body, but compared to before, the light was somewhat weaker.

But the shine of the Vision hanging from her waist was brighter than ever. The phantom of Haishan once again appeared behind Beidou.

And although its aura was much weaker than before, the madness in its eyes was not concealed at all.

The same gleam of madness was also reflected in the eyes of Beidou, because the one confronting the Sea Serpent was no longer the Captain of the Crux who shouldered the responsibilities of her crew.

No, she had once again become the person who dared to confront Haishan head-on.

This not-so-dazzling lightning still managed to attract Beisht's attention.

No... what had attracted Beisht's attention was not Beidou, but the person behind her.

Because although the current Beidou was somewhat threatening, the person behind her posed a far greater threat.

"Captain Beidou, a Sunsettia, a black trench coat, and two single-handed swords. In exchange, I'll take care of this crazy old hag for you. How about it?"

The ronin in the red robe said so.

[A/N: I know it's infuriating to not see Beidou vs Beisht, especially after all that hype. But, you guys have to understand that Beidou was pouring her entire life in just a single attack. She doesn't have strength left to fight a dozen rounds against Beisht]
