Returning to the warship at Marine Headquarters, Aokiji found himself in a state of deep confusion. He looked at the restrained "Ace" and then at Blackbeard, who was in seastone handcuffs nearby.

He was trying to figure out how to "accidentally" injure Blackbeard—an order he'd received privately from Fleet Admiral Sengoku.

Having already captured a version of Ace, the son of his mentor Garp's rival, Aokiji was conflicted. Now, with a secret mission he couldn't complete, the stress was immense.

After a moment of thought, his gaze landed on Ace's calm, smiling face. Aokiji felt a mix of emotions, but finally sighed internally. He then pointed at Ace and shouted, "Why are you laughing?! Are you looking down on me, a Marine admiral?!"

Ace, Kizaru, and every Marine present was baffled. They stared at Aokiji, wondering if he had gone mad. Only Blackbeard watched with a theatrical grin, curious to see what Aokiji would do. The Marines knew Aokiji was a man of his own mind, but they had never seen him act like this.

Kizaru, concerned, stepped forward to ask what was wrong, but before he could finish, Aokiji's Devil Fruit power activated. He formed a spear of ice in his hand.

"You like to laugh, don't you? Then I'll make sure you stay frozen forever!" he declared.

As he threw the ice spear, Aokiji suddenly sneezed. The sneeze caused the spear to veer off course, missing Ace entirely and instead shooting toward Blackbeard.

Still wearing seastone handcuffs, Blackbeard saw the spear coming and his eyes widened in terror. Pop! The ice spear pierced straight through his chest.

"Damn it... How did this happen?!" Blackbeard's eyes were bloodshot as he stared at the flustered Aokiji. "You did that on purpose! I know you did!" he thought, before fainting—not from the injury itself, but from sheer rage.

It took a moment for Lafitte to react. He quickly checked on his captain and, after confirming he was still alive, let out a sigh of relief. "My captain's not dead! Call a medic, quickly!"

Aokiji frowned, thinking to himself, "How is he still alive after being stabbed through the heart? What kind of body does Blackbeard have?" His pretense couldn't be too obvious, and since his "accidental" attack failed to kill Blackbeard, he couldn't push his luck further. He had no choice but to let the medics tend to him. Now, he would have to see if Sengoku could take care of Blackbeard himself.

Meanwhile, after leaving Marine Headquarters, Evil Thoughts Ace flew towards the New World with a new plan. He was determined to prevent the war, but to save his other self, he first needed to establish his reputation as the "son of One Piece."

This would prompt the "old man's" actions. The first step was to warn Whitebeard not to act rashly, and the second was to perform a few major feats to cement his fame.

At the same time, the Straw Hat crew, unaware of what was happening with Ace, had arrived at the entrance to Sky Island, known as the "Gate of Heaven."

An old woman with a scrunched-up face, holding a camera, was taking pictures of them. Ikki, knowing this old woman wasn't to be trusted, was well aware of her unreasonable "bridge tolls." If they didn't pay, she would alert the White Berets. Nami, hearing they could enter either way, chose not to pay.

As the old woman snapped pictures, Ikki instantly appeared beside her. He grabbed the camera and asked, "Hey, old lady, have you paid the fee to take our pictures?"

The old woman was completely flustered.

Not giving her a chance to respond, Ikki began a series of introductions. He pointed at Luffy, declaring, "This is a young and promising private Marine Fleet Admiral!"

He then pointed to Zoro, "This is a private Marine Lieutenant General, and the future greatest swordsman in the world!"

Next, he pointed at Sabo, "He's the second-in-command of the Revolutionary Army, the most powerful criminal organization in the Blue Ocean!"

Pointing at Vivi, "She's the princess of the great nation of Alabasta."

Pointing at Nico Robin, "He is the legendary Devil's Child, the only person in the world who can read the Poneglyphs!"

He moved on to Nami, "The world's strongest navigator."

Then to Captain America, "He's the spiritual symbol of a country!"

Kakashi was next, "He's the only true ninja in the world!"

And Vaipa, "This guy is a descendant of the great warrior, Kalgara!"

Usopp followed, "He's a brave warrior of the sea who can turn all lies into reality."

Sanji, "The world's most awesome chef!"

And Bon Kurei, "He is the future King of Okama, the classiest man alive!"

Chopper was next, "The world's strongest raccoon dog doctor!"

Then Karoo the duck, "He's the captain of the Alabasta Running Duck Squad!"

And Kodak the duck, "A super duck that can lift thousands of tons with telekinesis!"

Finally, Ikki took a picture of the ship itself, "And this is a ship with a soul!"

Hearing the wildly exaggerated introductions, Chopper, Nami, Usopp, and Bon Kurei were all mortified. Chopper, twisting with embarrassment, shouted, "Idiot! I'm a reindeer, not a raccoon dog!" The others, however, though their expressions were mostly blank, were secretly thinking, "Wow, I'm so awesome!"

Ikki ignored them and turned back to the old woman. "Don't you have to pay a fee to take pictures of all these incredible people?" he asked.

The old woman was speechless.

"I won't overcharge you. It's 10,000 Berries per person, and I'll even get them to sign the photos for you!" Ikki said, activating his Sharingan.

The old woman suddenly felt a powerful urge. If she didn't buy these photos and autographs, she would be missing out on an incredible opportunity.

She quickly paid the equivalent amount in Sky Island currency and was handed a stack of signed photos of the Straw Hat crew. With her new prize in hand, she then helped the Going Merry get pulled up to Sky Island using an express shrimp.
