Kael opened his eyes wide, but the place was dark. He moved in the sheets for a while, his body feeling the sheets before stopping. He yawned and sat up, his legs touching the floor, weight out on it but grimaced almost straight away. His legs hurt as though he had been beaten with wood.
'What the hell happened at the party to make my body ache like this?' he pondered as he massaged his hurting legs. Then he stood back up, making sure not to put much pressure on his legs, conscious of the pain, then walked to the light switch and switched it on.
The light brightened the whole room, and he squinted his eyes, taking in the feeling after being in the dark room for a while. His eyes traced around the room. Jaden could be seen sleeping on his bed, and it seemed he had been disrupted by the sudden light Kael put on, as he rolled over before his eyes opened.
