With rapid hand seals, the Fourth Mizukage brought his palms together in a resounding clap. His cold gaze swept over the gathered shinobi alliance below as he declared, "Water God's Prison Technique… Activate!"

No sooner had the words left his lips than a terrifying surge of chakra erupted from his body. The surrounding ANBU operatives mirrored his actions, their hands forming a single seal in unison as they shouted in chorus, "Secret Water Release Technique—Water God's Prison!"

A wave of dread washed over the allied shinobi. Ao's Byakugan, hidden beneath his eye patch, flared with alarm. His face paled as he bellowed, "Everyone, attack those ANBU immediately! Don't let them complete the technique!"

"Too late, Ao," the Fourth Mizukage sneered. "Did you really think I was wasting time talking to you for no reason?!"

"Damn it! He was stalling us!" Ao gritted his teeth.

"BOOM!!!" The ground trembled violently as an immense burst of chakra surged forth. Four massive blue barriers shot out from the cardinal directions—east, west, south, and north—rapidly converging to enclose the vast open space in front of the Mizukage Tower.

"What… What is this?!" The allied shinobi stared in shock at the towering blue walls surrounding them. "It's... a barrier?!" Miao's expression darkened, but confusion lingered in his mind. While a barrier could temporarily trap the alliance, it shouldn't be capable of inflicting catastrophic damage. Moreover, if the alliance launched coordinated attacks, surely they could break through. So why did the Fourth Mizukage look so confident?

The thousands of allied shinobi were completely enveloped within the rectangular prison formed by the four blue barriers, with no gaps or weaknesses. Only a few individuals who had been positioned further back remained outside the enclosure, while everyone else was now trapped inside.

"Is this the secret technique passed down by the First Mizukage? Is it merely a containment barrier?" Ao muttered, puzzled. Though the barrier could temporarily immobilize the alliance, it shouldn't pose a significant threat. His Byakugan allowed him to observe the dense chakra suffusing the barrier, but even that didn't seem particularly threatening.

"Don't underestimate it, Ao," Mei warned gravely. "This is the technique the First Mizukage went to great lengths to conceal. It can't possibly be so simple."

"I understand!" Ao clenched his teeth, his expression growing tense. "Do they really think this barrier alone can hold us? They're dreaming!"

"Are you fools truly so blind to your impending doom?" the Fourth Mizukage sneered coldly.

At that moment, the massive blue barrier began to shimmer with an eerie glow, exuding an otherworldly aura. The air within the enclosure grew increasingly dry, and the temperature began to rise steadily.

"What's happening?!" Some of the more observant shinobi noticed the changes—dry air, labored breathing. "What's going on?!" Ao and Mei exchanged alarmed glances.

"This is bad! This barrier seems to be absorbing moisture!" Miao suddenly realized, his voice sharp with urgency. "What?! Absorbing moisture?!" The others' faces turned ashen as they grasped the gravity of the situation.

"You're correct," the Fourth Mizukage smirked sinisterly. "Trapping enemies is only one function of this barrier. Its second ability is to continuously drain all moisture within its confines—not just from the air, but also from your very bodies!"

"All moisture?! From the air and our bodies?!" The shinobi alliance paled in horror. "We have to destroy this barrier immediately! If we don't, the alliance will lose their fighting strength soon—and many will die!" Ao shouted, his face twisted with desperation.

The human body consists mostly of water—about seventy percent—and losing even a fraction of it can lead to collapse. If this continued, everyone trapped inside would be reduced to desiccated husks!

"What kind of bizarre barrier technique is this?! How can it have such a horrifying ability?!" Miao exclaimed, his skin feeling drier by the second. His throat burned with thirst, and he could feel moisture evaporating rapidly from his pores.

"What's going on?!" Deidara yelled, even his carefree demeanor shaken as he felt his body grow weaker and drier.

"We can't hesitate! We need to shatter this barrier with a powerful jutsu!" Miao's Sharingan blazed as he quickly formed hand seals. "Fire Release—Great Fireball Technique!"

A colossal fireball erupted from Miao's mouth, roaring toward the blue barrier with scorching heat.

"Bang!!!" The fireball slammed into the barrier—but to Miao's horror, it began shrinking upon contact before dissipating entirely.

"How is this possible?! My jutsu… What is this barrier?!" Miao's crimson Sharingan locked onto the impenetrable barrier, disbelief etched across his face.

"Water Release—Water Dragon Bullet Technique!" Mei swiftly completed her hand seals, summoning a torrent of water. A massive blue dragon coalesced, surging forward with overwhelming force toward the barrier.

"Bang!!!" Like Miao's fireball, the water dragon collided with the barrier, only to shrink and vanish without leaving a mark. The barrier remained unscathed.

"Impossible!" Mei stared at the barrier in stunned silence, her face pale with despair.
