Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Mother Earth’s Verdict

"Prometheus, what are you doing here?"

Gaia frowned, her expression wary. She dared not be careless around this prophetic god, especially one with EX-ranked Clairvoyance.

The reason Rhea had hidden Zeus in Crete was due to a divine decree—Clairvoyance could not be used to spy on goddesses. Any god who violated this rule would be hunted down. But now, Zeus had just left Crete. If someone had spied on him during this period, Gaia couldn't do anything about it.

"I'm actually here to surrender," Prometheus announced, raising his hands in surrender, a self-deprecating smile on his face.

"Surrender?" Gaia narrowed her eyes. "The Twelve Titans share the same blood. Even if Rhea refuses to act, Kronos still has the advantage—eleven against six."

Prometheus sighed. Clairvoyant gods were often considered eccentric, and he was no exception.

"Mother Earth's Verdict."

He had no words to refute Gaia's logic. He couldn't exactly say that Kronos would eventually toss him aside as cannon fodder when the Giant Gods descended. If Kronos was willing to be heartless, then there was no shame in Prometheus being disloyal. Hanging on the Caucasus Mountains would still be better than dying on the battlefield.

"But I didn't come empty-handed. I brought information on the whereabouts of your original bodies."

Original bodies?

Zeus raised an eyebrow. He had heard the term before but had no idea what it truly meant. His knowledge of Greek mythology was already patchy at best, and this was new territory for him.

"You already know that we are not native to this world," Prometheus explained. "We are originally foreign silicon-based life forms. Most of our power resides in our original bodies. Right now, we are just humanoid constructs, embodied by a thinking AI. So, Zeus, you were right not to kill Kronos earlier."

Silicon-based life?!

Zeus felt his mind short-circuit. But years of being a corporate drone had honed his most valuable skill—pretending to understand everything while actually understanding nothing.

"I see," Zeus nodded sagely, arms crossed as if he had just unraveled the mysteries of the universe.

"As expected of Zeus!" Prometheus exclaimed, eyes gleaming with admiration. "The way you humiliated Kronos earlier truly opened my eyes. Your wisdom is extraordinary!"

Zeus had merely gone with the flow, but Prometheus's words instantly elevated him to a master tactician in the eyes of the others.

If you wanted to defeat a stronger opponent, you had to make them slip up while remaining flawless yourself. And the best way to make an enemy err? Provoke them.

Kronos—the mighty King of the Gods—had just suffered the most humiliating gastric lavage in history.

Drink. Vomit. Drink again. Vomit again.

The cycle continued until he was utterly powerless.

Even Prometheus wasn't sure how much rationality Kronos had left at this point.

Zeus had turned a divine battle into an absurd drinking contest—and won.

As expected of the future King of the Gods, his wisdom is boundless.

After Prometheus's reminder, Hera and the others finally understood the deeper meaning behind Zeus's actions.

Zeus hadn't spared Kronos out of mercy or mockery alone. If Kronos were taken to Crete alive, it would be like placing a ticking time bomb in their base. By keeping him incapacitated instead, Zeus ensured that he wouldn't be a threat for a long time.

A single glass of divine wine had weakened Kronos. A bottle had left him incapacitated.

Three days and three nights of vomiting? Even a god would need serious rehab after that.

"Now, let's get to the main issue—your original bodies," Prometheus continued. He turned his gaze toward Hestia, Demeter, and Hera.

"Mother Gaia, though I cannot use Clairvoyance to locate the original bodies of these three goddesses due to divine restrictions, logic dictates that they must be hidden here."

Gaia nodded. "Indeed. But Crete is small. After hiding their original bodies, I had little space left. So, I only managed to conceal those three."

The Titans were silicon-based life forms. They did not procreate in the conventional sense. Instead, they built their offspring using available materials.

Back then, Rhea had crafted both the original and human bodies of the three goddesses. To prevent Kronos from discovering the original bodies through their human forms, she had temporarily severed the connection between them.

If Kronos killed them, their consciousness would return to the original bodies immediately. But Kronos had outplayed her—he swallowed them instead.

By doing so, he locked them inside himself, trapping their consciousness and using their human bodies to strengthen his own.

If Hera and the others died now, they would return to their original bodies, but they would never be able to manifest human forms again. They would have to fight in their original, non-human state.

Realizing her plan had failed, Rhea had no choice but to send Zeus away, ensuring at least one of her children survived.

This was also why Hera and the others couldn't simply die and respawn in their original bodies—they had to find them first.

"Now we have three bodies recovered. As for the original bodies of the remaining three male gods—" Prometheus continued, "they were buried in the sea. But after all these years, they have finally been located by the Goddess of Wisdom, Metis."

In Prometheus's eyes, Metis was intelligent—but not as wise as Zeus.

Among the six thousand children of the sea god, she was the most favored. Her wisdom and divine power would be Zeus's greatest asset in the coming rebellion.

It was like the heavens themselves were lending him a hand.

Originally, the six siblings had no clue how to stand against the mighty Titans. But Prometheus had just handed them hope on a silver platter.

If they could retrieve their original bodies and reconnect with them, they would finally have the power to challenge Kronos.

While the others were celebrating their newfound advantage, Zeus sat under a tree, deep in thought.

Damn it… all these people talking about rebellion. Do they not realize we're outnumbered?!

Kronos had an army. They had… six bachelors.

When the battle starts, we'll be fighting their dads, their cousins, and their entire family tree.

Zeus glanced at the tiny lightning bolt in his palm. How the hell is this supposed to defeat Kronos?

A plan began forming in his mind.

Maybe… maybe I should just sell out my brothers.

If he betrayed them, his father might see his "filial piety" and spare him. Perhaps he'd get house arrest instead of execution.

Survival first. Glory later.

That night, the six siblings got drunk, celebrating their upcoming war against the Titans.

Meanwhile, Zeus quietly slipped away to the coastline.

He set up a small boat and began sailing toward the open sea.

Rebellion? Yeah, no thanks. I'm out.

As the boat drifted away, an unseen figure stood on the shore, watching Zeus depart.

Their eyes filled with admiration.

"To march into the enemy's lair alone… what unparalleled bravery! As expected of the sixth brother Mother always spoke of!"
