Sheathing his cracked Zanpakutō, Urahara, unable to dwell on the damage, immediately prepared to use Kidō against Yusuke.
Yoruichi, her ankle still trapped in Yusuke's grasp, flipped, using her free leg to forcefully kick Yusuke, forcing him to release his hold.
Using the momentum of the kick, Yoruichi quickly retreated, creating distance, and regained her balance.
Yoruichi and Urahara exchanged a look, silently confirming their next course of action.
Just as they were about to attack again, they saw Yusuke calmly sheathing his Zanpakutō.
Yusuke's unexpected cessation of combat puzzled them. He clearly held the advantage; why would he stop fighting?
As they pondered this, Tessai's anxious voice cut through the silence, "Yoruichi, Urahara! What's going on? Why aren't you attending to Hirako and the others?!"
Yoruichi and Urahara were shocked. The eight captains and vice-captains were gone.
Urahara's face darkened. "Impossible. Even in the heat of battle, my spiritual pressure was monitoring the surroundings. I couldn't have missed them disappearing!"
Yoruichi frowned in agreement. "That's right. I was also constantly monitoring with my spiritual pressure. It's impossible I wouldn't have noticed!"
"I was calling out to you both, but you seemed completely focused on the fight, not even hearing my shouts," Tessai said.
Urahara and Yoruichi were now certain they had been affected by some sort of enemy technique. While they could almost excuse missing subtle movements, Tessai's loud calls were impossible to ignore.
"You did something, didn't you? Some kind of genjutsu (illusionary technique) to distract us," Urahara said, his gaze fixed on Yusuke.
The technique Yusuke had used was a new dōjutsu (eye technique) gained after his eyes evolved under the influence of the Hōgyoku. It was called "Shiken Shō" (Perception Barrier), a technique that completely captivated the target's attention.
While a knowledgeable target could consciously shift their focus away from Yusuke, doing so would require an enormous expenditure of mental energy.
Yusuke, however, offered no explanation.
Smiling noncommittally, Yusuke said, "I'm not in the habit of explaining my abilities to my opponents. Since the captains and vice-captains have been 'invited,' I shall take my leave."
As he spoke, Yusuke's body began to twist into a spatial vortex, disappearing from sight.
"Wait!"
"Stop!"
Seeing Yusuke's escape, Urahara and Yoruichi instantly used Shunpo to intercept him.
With Hirako, Sarugaki, and the others now in the hands of this mysterious individual, letting him escape was unthinkable.
Despite their incredible speed, they were a step too slow. Their hands passed harmlessly through Yusuke's vanishing form.
"Damn it!" Urahara exclaimed, his face burning with anger.
Yoruichi sighed, shaking her head. "Regret won't help now. We need to calmly consider our next move. This individual's spiritual pressure is significantly higher than ours. Although we weren't at full power, I could sense he could have killed us if he chose to. Since he showed mercy, perhaps he won't harm Hirako and the others."
Urahara nodded, his expression grim. "We can only hope so."
Turning to Tessai, still bound by golden spiritual chains, Urahara pointed a finger, a red spiritual energy erupting from his fingertip.
"Release!"
The golden chains shattered with a 'click' upon contact with the red energy, freeing Tessai.
Tessai, his spiritual power and mobility restored, pushed himself to his feet.
Stretching, Tessai asked, "What now? We're just going to leave Hirako and the others?"
Yoruichi considered. "You two should head to the World of the Living and hide. I'll stay in Soul Society and gather information on Hirako and the others. He's a Shinigami, so he's likely hiding somewhere in Soul Society."
Although Yusuke wore a Hollow mask, Yoruichi and the others hadn't considered Hueco Mundo as his base of operations. Many Hollows existed in Soul Society and the World of the Living; there was no need to go to Hueco Mundo for a Hollow mask.
At that moment, the spiritual pressure of numerous Shinigami approached, signaling the arrival of the Seireitei's pursuit.
"No time to waste. I've set up a temporary Senkaimon (gate) nearby. Let's go. Yoruichi, are you sure you're not coming with us to the World of the Living?" Urahara asked.
Yoruichi waved her hand dismissively. "No, no. You two get going. I'll hide at the Shiba house!"
Without waiting for a reply, Yoruichi vanished in a flash of darkness.
Urahara and Tessai exchanged a look before heading towards the gate.
Yusuke, having secured Hirako and the others, transported them to Hueco Mundo.
Thanks to Urahara's use of the Hōgyoku, their Hollowfication had been temporarily stabilized. The Hollow masks on their faces were only partial.
In a palace prepared for the Arrancar, Yusuke sealed their spiritual power with Gentei Reiin. Kurotsuchi Mayuri arrived shortly after receiving his message.
"That Aizen is truly terrifying. He used four Gotei 13 captains for his Hollowfication experiments."
Looking at the fallen captains, Kurotsuchi exclaimed in surprise.
She didn't recognize the captains individually, but their haori clearly identified their rank.
Yusuke smiled. "Indeed, Aizen is our greatest opponent."
Kurotsuchi chuckled darkly. "But in terms of terrifying individuals, you surpass even him! His plan unfolded right under your nose. You must have an informant among his ranks."
