The newcomer was, of course, Yusuke, still concealing his identity behind the Hollow mask.
"Sosuke Aizen? I'm not affiliated with him. I'm only here to help the injured," Yusuke said with a smile.
His gaze swept over the Hollowfied captains and lieutenants lying behind the trio, their faces still masked. "Leave them to me. I will help them better control their Hollowfication."
Urahara scoffed. "I can handle their Hollowfication myself. As for you, mysterious stranger, let's see what kind of unsightly face you're hiding behind that mask!"
With that, Urahara launched a surprise attack, Shunpoing towards Yusuke, his Zanpakutō aimed at the mask.
Yusuke drew his own Zanpakutō to block the attack.
Urahara and Yoruichi were among the strongest captains in the Gotei 13; even Yusuke had to take them seriously.
As Yusuke parried Urahara's attack, Yoruichi appeared beside him, Shunpoing with incredible speed.
Yoruichi crouched low, her bandages instantly unwrapping, wrapping around Yusuke in several coils.
These were special bandages created by Urahara using unique materials; incredibly strong and capable of sealing spiritual pressure. Few could break free once bound by them.
Urahara and Yoruichi were incredibly fast and coordinated. An ordinary Shinigami wouldn't have time to react to such a combined assault.
However, Yusuke found this attack rather underwhelming.
He used his Zanpakutō to deflect Urahara's blade, a force so overwhelming that it sent Urahara flying backward uncontrollably.
Simultaneously, Yusuke grabbed the bandages Yoruichi had released, yanking with such force that he lifted Yoruichi into the air.
Tessai, not content to stand idly by, gathered his spiritual energy and unleashed a prepared Kidō spell.
Urahara and Yoruichi had been too close for him to attack Yusuke before. Now that Yusuke had repelled them, Tessai had a clear shot.
"Hadō #91. Senju Kōten Taihō!"
Dozens of white energy blasts, each packed with immense spiritual pressure, rained down on Yusuke. A direct hit would cause a devastating explosion, obliterating the target.
"Bakudō #81. Dankū."
"Bakudō #63. Sajō Sabaku."
As Tessai unleashed his Hadō, Yusuke, without incantation, completed two Bakudō spells.
A semi-transparent spiritual energy barrier materialized, blocking Tessai's energy blasts.
Simultaneously, four golden chains of spiritual energy bound Tessai, completely restraining him.
Bound by the spiritual chains, Tessai lost control of his spiritual pressure and collapsed to the ground.
Tessai felt utterly defeated. In just a few hours, he had suffered two major blows.
First, Aizen, a mere Vice-Captain, had effortlessly blocked his Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō with a chantless Dankū. Now, an unknown enemy had similarly blocked his Senju Kōten Taihō with a chantless Dankū, and then promptly bound him with Sajō Sabaku, completely incapacitating him.
"Perhaps my Kidō skills aren't as strong as I thought," Tessai wondered, doubting himself.
Though Tessai's attack had failed to harm Yusuke, and he himself was now restrained, this brief exchange had bought Urahara and Yoruichi time.
"Awaken: Benihime!"
Urahara roared, his Zanpakutō undergoing a spiritual transformation, becoming a shimmering red net of spiritual energy that rapidly enveloped Yusuke.
Urahara's Zanpakutō development was unparalleled among Shinigami. His Shikai alone had displayed seven different forms, each with a unique release command.
This form was perfectly suited for restraining an opponent!
Facing the rapidly approaching net, Yusuke retreated and attempted to evade it.
However, Yoruichi, expertly coordinating with Urahara, closed the escape route with her incredible Shunpo speed.
"Sorry, no way through!" Yoruichi said with a smile.
She spun in mid-air, unleashing a powerful, spiritually charged kick aimed at Yusuke, preventing his evasion.
With a thud, Yusuke firmly grasped Yoruichi's ankle, her powerful kick failing to move him an inch.
"My apologies. I was trying to avoid damaging his Zanpakutō. But now…" Yusuke said calmly.
Having intercepted Yoruichi's kick, Yusuke had no time to dodge the approaching red energy net. He unleashed his Zanpakutō's spiritual energy in a forward slash.
A white blade of light collided with the red energy net. A sharp cracking sound echoed as the entire net disintegrated.
"What?!"
"Impossible!"
Yoruichi and Urahara exclaimed in unison, stunned that Urahara's usually unstoppable technique had been so easily shattered.
The red energy net's spiritual energy recoalesced on Urahara's Zanpakutō, reforming the blade.
However, the blade was now covered in cracks, temporarily unusable.
Once a Zanpakutō is damaged, it cannot be repaired; a new unrefined blade must be found to awaken its true power.
While Urahara's Zanpakutō wasn't destroyed and could slowly repair itself, the extent of the damage meant it would take a century to fully recover.
