When confronted by the Central 46, Urahara Kisuke was completely taken aback, realizing he had been manipulated by Aizen.
During his absence from the Research and Development Institute, Aizen had planted fabricated evidence of Hollowfication experiments. Urahara's unauthorized departure to aid the 9th Division had solidified his guilt.
Everyone now believed his presence at the scene was to continue his experiments and eliminate the captains supporting the 9th Division's vanguard.
To clear his name, Urahara revealed Aizen's crimes, but his claims were powerless against Aizen's perfect alibi, created by Kyōka Suigetsu. The Central 46's higher-ups refused to believe him.
In the imposing and chilling courtroom of the Central 46, the forty-six high-ranking officials, shrouded in shadows, delivered their verdict.
"Captain Urahara Kisuke of the 12th Division, and his accomplice, Head Kidō Captain Tessai Tsukabishi, are found guilty of conducting forbidden experiments and harming their comrades.
They are to be stripped of all spiritual power and exiled to the World of the Living forever.
Furthermore, the eight captains and vice-captains who fell victim to these wicked experiments will be dealt with as Hollows in the World of the Living."
Upon hearing the sentence, Urahara, already disheartened, felt a wave of despair. He roared in protest, "Those captains can still be saved! Why are they being executed?!"
He was prepared to accept his own punishment, to live out his remaining days in hiding in the World of the Living.
But the death sentence for Hirako, Sarugaki, and the others was unacceptable.
The Central 46 ignored his outburst, issuing their final command: "All sentences are to be carried out immediately!"
At that moment, a tall figure appeared at the courtroom entrance.
Clad in a green cloak, their hair and face concealed by cloth, their identity was hidden.
It was Yoruichi Shihōin, Urahara's closest friend and Captain of the 2nd Division!
"Who's there?!"
Guards immediately moved to intercept the unidentified individual, but were easily dispatched with a few swift strikes of Yoruichi's Shihakushō.
Without a word, Yoruichi used Shunpo to reach Urahara and Tessai.
With a swift strike of her hand, she severed the spiritual restraints binding Urahara and Tessai, seizing them both and vanishing from the Central 46.
Their spiritual power restored, the three swiftly left the Seireitei, arriving at a secluded forest.
The Hollowfied captains and lieutenants lay scattered throughout the forest, including Urahara's confiscated Zanpakutō.
Removing her cloak and head covering, Yoruichi addressed Urahara with a mocking tone, "Well, well, you really made a mess of things this time.
It's so unsightly, I almost don't want to see you again."
Urahara's usual carefree demeanor was gone, replaced by profound gravity. He remained silent in response to Yoruichi's mockery.
"Yoruichi-sama, you saved us again. But with such a major incident, how will you explain this to the Central 46?" Tessai asked worriedly.
A slight smirk touched Yoruichi's lips. "Who wants to explain anything to those fools? I've had enough of them.
Leaving the Seireitei is quite convenient, actually."
Despite her words, Tessai could see a hint of reluctance in Yoruichi's eyes.
Besides being the Captain of the 2nd Division and head of the Seireitei's covert operations, she was also the head of the Shihouin Clan.
Her departure would place a heavy burden on her younger brother. Her defection would also put immense pressure on her family.
Patting Urahara on the shoulder, Yoruichi smiled. "What's wrong? Has this little setback broken you? The opponent was powerful, but has it robbed you of your desire for revenge?"
Yoruichi's words, a mixture of mockery and encouragement, rekindled a spark in Urahara's eyes.
"Yeah, there's still much to do.
Outside the Seireitei, I can prepare better.
One day, Aizen will pay the price."
Urahara lifted his head, his usual carefree expression returning. He smiled at Yoruichi and Tessai.
They knew better than anyone how dangerous a serious Urahara could be.
Tessai asked, "So, Urahara, what are your plans?"
Urahara pondered, "I'll prepare eleven substitute bodies so we can hide in the World of the Living."
Yoruichi waved her hand dismissively. "Who wants to be stuck with you lot? Even if I stay in Soul Society, the Central 46 can't touch me. Ten substitute bodies will suffice."
Urahara nodded. "If you're staying in Soul Society, be careful. Tessai, I'll need your help creating these ten gigais."
At that moment, a man's voice echoed nearby.
"Captain Urahara, you only need two gigais.
Leave the other eight Hollowfied individuals to my care."
Yoruichi, Urahara, and Tessai's eyes narrowed as they turned towards the source of the voice.
A man wearing a Hollow mask stood nearby, observing them silently.
They hadn't noticed his arrival.
"Well, well, trouble always seems to find us! Who might you be, my mysteriously attired friend?" Yoruichi asked, her tone light, but her senses were on high alert.
Even she, Yoruichi, the "Shunshin" (Flash God), hadn't sensed his approach. This newcomer was clearly formidable.
Beside Yoruichi, Urahara drew his Zanpakutō, and Tessai assumed a Kidō stance.
The Hollow mask seemed vaguely familiar to Urahara. It triggered a memory—security footage from over fifty years ago, when the Research and Development Institute was infiltrated.
"You're the one who infiltrated the Seireitei over fifty years ago, stealing materials and data!" Urahara stated definitively.
