Gloria smiled wryly at Charles and nodded her head, nonetheless.
"Um, it's not safe out there. So, I can't risk it for now. However, I promise you that I will make it up to you. I might not be able to show you around as much as I wanted to there, but when we go back home, I will take you out to play every weekend unless something happens. How about it?" She couldn't help but make another promise nervously as she looked at both Raine and Charles.
Just like Charles Raine, despite being playful, she was forced to mature at a young age. She reasoned better than some young adults. So, when her brother asked that question, it dawned on her why her auntie was acting like that.
After connecting the dots, she knew that causing trouble for the elder wouldn't be good.
