Evelyn refused to give up and allow a vampire to use her as prey. She refused to die. No, she can't afford to die by the hands of vampires.
She kept on running not daring to look back.
The vampires who were growling and howling heard a loud loud heart beat of a female human and their red eyes glimmered dangerously under the starry night sky.
"Trace that heart and make sure to eat her alive, drink her blood dry"! A cold male vampire ordered heartlessly. He had been starved of blood for the whole day and tonight his prayers have been answered. He will drink her blood, and snapped her neck off her body and kept drinking non stop.
The three vampires men kept growling fiercely and leaped as fast as they could to find the scent of that woman.
It would have been easier to find her if she had a fresh wound.
Evelyn kept running faster and faste, her heart beat pounding louder and louder, her body covered in sweats, while she was running, she didn't see the big stone in front of her. All that filled her head was to escape and avoid her self from dying in the hands of these monsters.
She suddenly slipped and hit her head on the huge stone.
"Ahhhhh! ! ! " She yelled painfully.
Blood dropped down her forehead, down her face to her neck staining her clothes.
She groaned in pain as tears slowly slid down her cheeks.
"Master, she is injured. I can smell her blood. " The vampire growl e baring his fangs.
The old vampire man red eyes glowed dangerously and without responding, he leaped so high to look for the fragile human that has fallen prey. His predatory red eyes dimmed dangerously as he kept leaping high.
Evelyn was in pain and was slowly losing consciousness when she suddenly heard that deep, masculine familiar voice.
"Come with me".
Evelyn eyes slowly opened as she came across with the same silver eyes she always see.
Her heart that had suddenly been engulf in deep fear slowly skipped a beat.
Are you coming or not? His voice sounded thick and slightly impatient.
Evelyn slowly stood up weakly and for some strange reasons, she felt as though she was floating on air.
His invisible hands carried her like a bride. Even though she couldn't feel his hands on her wrists, she knew he was carrying her and moving at a speed bullet.
While he was speeding invisibly,
Evelyn closed her eyes as the strong wind blew past her her hair falling on her face.
While she was floating,
She heard his thick masculine voice resonated through the thick air.
"Once I save you, promise me you will free your mind with me. " He said temptingly.
Evelyn bit her bottom lip hard.
"Biting your bottom lip is like saying yes. So I guess it's a yes my sweet moonlight flower. " He teased and Evelyn cheeks flushed red in embarrassment.
"Fine, I won't be scared of you anymore. " She agreed weakly.
"That's more like it my sweet moonlight flower. " He said and before Evelyn could respond, she suddenly felt as though she was falling, and
*SPLASH*
Evelyn fell inside the water with full strong force.
Evelyn closed her eyes tightly as the icy water clawed at her chest. Her lungs screamed for air, her body fighting between rising and being dragged deeper. The weight pulling her down was invisible, cold, and merciless.
Her fingers brushed against the smooth surface of the floating casket again. A chill far colder than the water itself ran through her veins. It felt alive—like it was breathing with her.
She kicked desperately, trying to break free, but the unseen grip tightened around her ankles. Panic surged through her, sharp and suffocating.
"Somebody—please!" she cried, but her voice broke into muffled gurgles, swallowed instantly by the dark waters. The casket creaked suddenly, its lid shifting slightly as though answering her touch. A faint, eerie light bled from within the cracks, illuminating the water around her in pale silver.
Evelyn's eyes widened. Something inside was calling to her.
Then she heard that deep familiar voice again,
"Be still, you won't die. The more you move, the more you alert the vampires."
Evelyn who was still struggling slowly relaxed as her closed eyes opened and was surprised to see that the casket was still; not floating.
She couldn't talk and just stayed still.
As if he knew she wanted to talk,
His powers slowly cause a small air in the cold river.
Evelyn coughed violently as she could finally breathed.
"Thank you!" She whispered weakly.
But there was no more response again.
Evelyn remained in the cold river with little air as she remained there till the next day.
The old vampire that had smelled the scent of the female human, paused suspiciously as he couldn't smell her scent? He mused and angrily growled and saw an animal from a far distance and ran like lightning to attack the animal. He gripped the small duck and sank his fangs inside the duck drinking it's blood as the duck jerked painfully and fearfully. After drinking the blood angrily, he tore the duck into pieces before leaping away.
Inside the Fraser apartment,
Mr and Mrs Fraser were extremely worried for their daughter. She had been out for so long and hadn't come back.
Fear was seen on their faces.
"My prayer is that the vampires shouldn't attack her. " Mrs Fraser said softly as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"It's fine, we will just hope and pray. " Mr Fraser said hopelessly.
He knew it won't be very difficult for the vampires to locate her and harm her.
He thought calmly and slowly stood up to his room.
Minutes turned to hours and hours turned to dawn as the sun was slowly rising.
It was already past morning. Early in the morning when Mrs Fraser who had fallen asleep on the dinning slowly rose up and went to open the door to look for her daughter.
