Gabriel
"Where are we going Gabriel?" She asked me.
"To your gift mio Amore!"I replied.
"You know Italian?" She asked.
"I know more than you know!"
"Oh really tu simia?" She said raising her eyebrows.
"What? What did you just said?"I asked.
"Sir it means monkey in Latin!" My driver replied while driving.
"Look, you don't know anything " she said while smirking.
"Like you know everything!"I retorted.
"Not everything but enough to know things around me " she replied.
Well there's no argument on what she just said! Technically and honestly correct.
We both went silent for the rest of the ride. Nor she argued ahead,Neither she asked me where we were heading to.
"You good?" I asked breaking off the silence.
She just nodded in return. Looks like I made her angry now. She's not speaking to me. She turned her face to the window staring out.
The car stopped and my driver signalled me that we have reached. I got out and went to her side and opened the door for her and forwarded my hand. She raised her one eyebrow looking at me and then finally she gave her hand in mine! I chuckled hard.
"Trying to be Mr. Perfect?"
"Only for you!"I replied.
"Yeah I deserve one"
"Surely you do! Always here for you" I said and bowed infront of her. She laughed slightly.
I gestured my arm for her to hold. She gladly took it. We walked down through a gate.
Holding her beside me makes me feel no more unfortunate! I always wanted her beside me. Like here, holding my hand for eternity!

Holding his arms, like this is the only place I belong, beside him, smiling!
As we walked ahead, I can see all the sand around us, it looked like some kind of beach. As I moved forward, I saw the whole place decorated with all pink lights, balloons, banners saying Happy Birthday Girl. It all looked so magical! There was a table and two chairs at the centre of all the decorations. Perfectly set!
I was speechless. Not because all it looked gorgeous and splendid! But because he took the efforts to make me feel happy and fortunate in this world. I couldn't say anything, I had ended everything in my throat after seeing this! It all looked so etheral.
He was standing behind me. I turned to look at him, only to find him on his one knee. Holding a red velvet box! Is he proposing? God what should I answer!
" Samantha Fernandes, the ohh so lovely, charming, lightining girl I have ever met! You deserve every word I utter from my mouth. I was just a grumpy boy with no interest in this world just like my parents. But then I found a girl in a garden collecting stones saying that she will build a castle for herself, saying she was the only queen. I laughed thinking how stupid she was to make stone castles, but no matter she was the little Samantha at that time and I was too the little Gabriel. You taught me to live to, to laugh, to smile, to joke and still do! This day marks your precious presence in this world and also your presence in my life. The day I met you, 25th December, the day I got my first and ever, forever bestfriend." He opened the red box revealing a pendant with a infinity design on it marking the forever bond between us. I paused, having no words for what he just said right now!
"This not just a confession, a proposal to make you my forever bestfriend. Do you agree, from being my childhood bestfriend to my forever and ever bestfriend. If you do, then come hold my hand to infinity and beyond and I shall never let you go. I hope we always remain this happy together , teasing each other, fighting like we are the zoo monkeys, beating the ones who stand against you, against me, against us! Would you?" He said forwarding his next hand.
I stood there still, processing his every damn word. A drop of year ran down my cheeks, I wiped it before it could fall, I immediately went ahead and took his hand in mine and nodded while smiling. He stood up and and I hugged him tight.
"I would never find a friend like you ever,ever in a eternity!"I said , tears running down my cheeks.
"Neither would I. You are the one" he said smiling. He broked the hug and wiped my tears with his hands.
" You still remember the castle girl!" I asked.
"Ofcourse I do! How would I forgot the antic I met first!" He said laughing widely. I smacked his head a little. He will never stop.teasing me. The funky Gabriel!
"Come let me make you wear this!" He said forwarding the pendant box. I turned around and he placed the forever pendant around my neck. I turned and looked at it and smiled.
" Looking mine forever " he whispered yet still audible to my ears.
"What?" I asked.
"Forever my bestfriend " he said immediately.
I smiled widely. He forwarded his hand to me.
"Let's have some dinner together " he said and i nodded.
We both sat opposite the table. Lots of dishes i liked were placed on the table. He served me everything, we talked, laughed, celebrated.
God what have I done to have him?
"Dance?" He asked and forwarded his hand . I gladly took it and stood up and followed him. We stood there in the middle. He placed his hand on my waist and other holding my hand. I placed my other hand on his shoulder. The music was low light, peaceful exactly for the moment we were sharing now. I moved myself with him, feeling free and secure wrapped around him.
My only solace!
I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around him, living the moment in his arms, finding peace. I can hear his running heartbeat, like his heart might come out anytime. I leaned into his arms more deeper, he held me tightly like I would fade if he didn't!
"Sam" he called me.
"Hmm"
"I mean it when I say I won't let you go, you 'll always be the only sunflower I met in a garden full of roses with thorns" he said.
I raised my head to look upto him.
"And you are my sunlight,my warmth who makes me bloom everyday."
