Chapter 247 - Men Are All the Same

"If Adam had asked you to have an abortion, would you have done it?"

"No. I already loved the child. How far along are you in your pregnancy?"

"Eight weeks. I love the child, but I love Adam, too. I love my parents. I'm very confused. I don't want to lose either of them."

"Emanuelle... make a decision after you've heard Adonis' opinion. That way, there'll be no room for regret, whatever you want to do."

"I'll sound out Adonis. I can't risk telling him about this child and him forcing me to do something I don't want to do. Depending on his response, I'll know if this child is welcome, and then I'll choose. It won't be an easy choice, but a necessary one."

Anna stood up, brushing the sand from her clothes, and Emanuelle followed her. They walked to the edge of the beach, and Anna called them to leave. There was a proposal she had to make to Adam, even though he knew he wouldn't have to change anything to have her in his bed. Anna reproached herself for not being able to resist him. And she had to get out of there as soon as possible, or she would end up losing her husband. She tried to deny it for a long time, but the truth was that she was hopelessly in love with Adam and just his presence was enough to have a devastating effect on her senses. She could no longer deny that even Adam's cold tone of voice seduced her. But she loved Maxwell, too. Different from what she felt for Adam, but with the same intensity.

They left Adonis and Emanuelle in another house, closer to Adam's mansion and more humble too. Adam took the wheel and drove back to the mansion.

When they arrived at the house, which was still empty, Kate's moans echoed throughout the house. Anna put her hands over Ian's ears, but he pulled his hands away and smiled at Adam.

"Is this what a woman looks like when a man plays with her?" Ian asked, and ran off up the stairs.

Anna turned to Adam, who had a proud gleam in his eyes.

"What have you been talking to my son about? He's just a child. I won't have you taking away his innocence like that!"

"Don't be silly, Anna. Ian is smarter than most adults. I think he must have seen the adult channel on your television. I forgot to block it for that TV. But don't worry, that's already been done. But back to Ian, I explained to him how children are made, yes. And I told him how to go about making his partner happy."

 "I can't believe you did that to a four-year-old!"

"Oh, you bet I did. He liked it and said he can't wait to do it too. When he turns thirteen, I'm going to take him to have his first night of sex in some village."

"You men!" Anna said tapping her foot impatiently on the floor and went into the study, knowing that Adam would follow, and poured herself a brandy.

 "Did you get excited, Anna?"

"Why?" she asked as she sat down.

"You and booze, when you mix them, it's very appetizing. And you should know the things I taught Ian... Most of them I practiced with you."

Anna dropped her glass on the table as soon as Adam had finished saying those words, and he sat down in front of her with an amused look on his face.

 "What is it, Anna?"

"I just remembered that I'm on medication."

 "It's a shame, isn't it?"

"Adam... You won't have me in your bed. Unless you make a deal with me."

"I don't think a deal is necessary for that." He said sardonically, wondering if he should tell her that he had put the healing water in her juice and that she probably had nothing left, and Anna thought how predictable men were.

"Do you think I'm incapable of restraining myself, resisting and escaping your harassment?

"You are capable, but that wouldn't be very convenient for you." He said and the amused twinkle faded from his eyes. "I'm starting to get impatient, Anna. I want us to form a family. You know you'll never get away from me again. Why keep putting off the inevitable?"

"You promised you wouldn't touch me until I consented."

"You've already consented, Anna! We just didn't fuck today out of respect for the memory of Genevieve and the other dead. And let's say I stop fucking you. How long will you go without sex? Because there's no way out of here, and I have Bonnie to satisfy my needs. You're a woman who was born to die fucking. How long will you put up with not being touched by my hands?"

 Anna turned red.

"It's not just men who can satisfy a woman." She bluffed. She had no interest in the options that existed to replace the man. And she was furious that he was right about her.

"Then die using a vibrator, Anna. Your problem. I have better options than my hands. And you don't have to lie with me to bear my children."

"Children? Are you thinking of children? Is that what I am to you? A belly to house your litter of werewolves?"

 He frowned.

"You summed it up well... I didn't think about it before Ian. I want to have many more children just like him."

Anna took a deep breath. It was obvious that Adam was just teasing her.

"Why don't you make a deal with me?"

"Because I'm not going to buy it, again. I already paid your price years ago. I'm not giving anything away."

 Anna stood up.

"Then this conversation has become pointless." Anna said and left. She went to her room and locked the door.

Adam took the glass she had poured for him and drank all the cognac in one go. He was beginning to hate this woman. What more did Anna want? He couldn't keep making deals with her to make her feel as much pleasure as he did. She needed to stop being stubborn and go to his bed of her own free will. If she wanted something, and he was sure she did, he would have to offer her something more than sex. He went to his room, and after a shower, he put on his pajamas and lay down, then fell asleep. He didn't see the moment Anna's father entered the mansion. Nor did he ever know that Max was hiding in the now empty chapel, waiting for her.
