Chapter 248 - The Husband's Visit

Chapter 247: (INKISTONE)

The Husband's Visit

Ian was delighted with his grandfather's visit and began to tell him all about what had happened that day. Unlike Adam, he believed that his late wife was trying to communicate with her loved ones and Ian, apart from his background, was a sensitive child and was more receptive to spiritual things than the adults, who were naturally skeptical.

Anna knew she had to be quick, so as not to arouse anyone's suspicions. She left, but first, to make sure, she opened the door to Adam's room and took out the key, locking it from the outside and taking the key with her. If he found out, she would know when she arrived and saw the door had been broken down.

Max embraced her and when their lips met, his hands began to touch her whole body, eagerly, urgently. But Anna reluctantly pulled away from him.

"I've started taking the medication, Max."

"It doesn't matter, Anna. I feel like you don't have the infection anymore... You talked about it with Adam, right?"

 Anna frowned.

 "Yes."

"He must have put the healing water in your food." Max said angrily.

 Anna looked at him puzzled.

 "Isn't that good?"

"It depends on which aspect. He'll try to seduce you again, Anna. He doesn't give anyone that cure if he doesn't have strong motives."

"He won't come to me, Max. Just today he told me that if I don't accept him into my bed, I'll die using consolation."

Max smiled and forgot to talk to her about Genevieve. Driven by desire, he pulled her to him, gluing their bodies together so that she could feel his hard, erect penis.

"Your 'consolation' is here, my love. Let's use it." He said and made her get on her back, and pushing her against the wall, he lifted her dress and penetrated her. She felt pain, but he didn't care. He knew that this position was painful for the woman at first, but it wasn't long before she started moaning and screaming his name.

The werewolves outside could hear Anna's moans, but believing that she was with Adam, as their minds weren't being invaded by the Alpha, they moved away to give the couple more privacy.

When he finally let her go, remembering that she was only human and that he couldn't do to her what he did to Camille, he put his penis back in his pants, and they arranged to have another video call the next day, so that she could talk to the whole family after lunch. They said goodbye sadly. They weren't supposed to be going through this. They had a right to be happy together. As she walked back to the mansion and put Adam's room key in place, Anna decided that she wouldn't stay there beyond the month that Ian had agreed with Adam. When he left, she would go with him.

She opened the door to her room and suddenly didn't feel like staying there. She went into the kitchen and started preparing pasta for dinner. Her father found her there.

"Where's Ian?" she asked as she peeled the onion.

"He's asleep. Looks like you guys had a busy afternoon."

"Yes. Adam took us out for lunch, and then they fell into the sea."

"Did he tell you about the vision he had?"

 "Yes."

 "He seemed quite impressed."

 "Weren't you?"

"Yes. But I don't want my grandson to grow up haunted by these visions."

"Don't worry about it, Dad." Anna said, putting down the onion and going to the door to make sure they weren't being overheard. Then she turned to her father. "I want you to help me escape. I'll let Ian stay the month he promised Adam, but I want to leave as soon as he's out of this house and safe. I don't want my family here in Las Vegas. Adam would start a war. Let's run away to Mom's hometown with the whole family."

 "Why did you decide that?"

Anna thought about lying, but she knew her father would notice, and she was too tired to come up with a good excuse. She also didn't want to live through any more lies in her life.

"Because I can't stay here without going to bed with Adam. I love him. Not like I love Max. But I do. And if I stay here, I'll lose my husband, because I can't resist Adam. I know that here, every time he wants me, I won't be able to say no."

Anna's father looked at her with an understanding look.

"What about Sarah? Have you given up on revenge?"

"I'll finish with her tomorrow. It's not doing me any good... I feel like I'm going through a process of change. A change I don't want in my life."

Anna watched her father sit down at the table and remembered that she had work to do. She picked up the onion and started chopping.

"If that's what you want, my child, consider your days here numbered. But there is something I need to find out from Sarah. She has something I need to get back."

 "What is it?"

"She... Do you remember that Jenna told you about a letter she would give you when you turned eighteen?"

"Of course. She never gave it to me."

"Because someone stole it from her room when Jenna was still living here."

"Why would you want a letter that you wrote yourself?"

"Because it's not a letter. I didn't write anything other than what was given to you."

 Anna looked at him askance.

 "What is it then?"

"A biography of your mother. Her diary. It contains all the answers you're looking for."

Anna felt anger flood her entire body.

"And Sarah stole it? Is she with her?"

"My intuition tells me no. But Jenna is almost certain. So I'd like to check it out for myself."

"You're welcome to try to get her to talk tomorrow. I won't change my plans. If I can't get Sarah to talk by tomorrow morning, she'll take this secret to her grave."

"I understand..." Anna's father said and stood up. He walked over to her and kissed her on the forehead. "I'll meet you there in captivity tomorrow then." He said and left.
