Chapter 188 - The Devil They Released

The morning sun had barely risen when the door to his room burst open and Amir's voice tore through the stillness. "Brother!" He was out of breath, his eyes wide, and behind him Rayyan and Malik followed, pale and silent. Mirshad sat up slowly, unshaken, though something in his eyes said he already knew. Baba stood in the doorway, his tone leaving no space for delay. "Come to the hall. You need to see this." They moved quickly and the main screen lit the command hall in cold light. Footage rolled from every nation, every feed, every angle. A figure cloaked in shadow, masked, moving faster than eyes could follow, tearing through streets, lifting vehicles as though weightless, vanishing into the clouds only to fall with fire. Military units broke against him in seconds. No voice. No demands. Just destruction with purpose. The news anchors' voices shook. "This isn't a man… it's a force." "Military resistance crushed in moments." "He's not speaking. He's sending a message." Rayyan's jaw tightened. "This isn't chaos. It's calculated." Amir muttered, "He's looking for something." Malik's voice was low. "Or someone."

A soft, sharp beep from Mirshad's wrist cut the air. The Sirius interface flickered to life, and an encrypted message pulsed on the screen, sealed with a symbol only he recognized. He tapped it. A cold voice filled the room. "Good morning, Mirshad. We hope you are well. We watched your transformation from light. Impressive. You made your promise true. You gave them peace. Now, it's time to make true our words. This is your Last Supper. You have three days. Step away. Hide. Or come forward… and claim your death. Your end is waiting." The feed went black.

Silence pressed against the walls. Baba's voice broke it. "What do we do now?" Mirshad walked forward and lowered himself into a chair as if the weight of the message didn't touch him. "Sirius," he said evenly, "activate Reaper Command and bring up Weapon Protocol Omega." Rayyan frowned. "What weapon?" Mirshad's tone didn't change. "A device I designed. It drains power from anything within three hundred meters. If I can't win… it'll give me a way out." Amir stepped closer. "You're saying… you might lose?" Mirshad turned his head toward him. "I'm saying there's a ninety percent chance I will." He sent the order to the Phantom Reapers. "I'm going alone. Watch only. If I begin to fall, use the weapon. No helicopters. Move me through hidden routes." The reply came without hesitation. "Understood, sir."

Sophia had been in the doorway, unseen until now, her eyes red, her breath uneven. "If you're not sure… then don't go." He crossed to her, took her hand, and placed it gently over her belly. "I have to." She shook her head, voice breaking. "You promised to be here…" "I did. And I will. But I don't know if I'll come back the same." She said nothing, and he pulled her close, whispering so only she could hear. "Stay strong for our three stars. No matter what happens… don't let me fall." She nodded through her tears.

Rayyan stepped forward as he moved toward the weapons rack. "You can't lose." Mirshad mouth lifted faintly. "I've already won. I have her. I have all of you. I have a reason to fight harder than ever." His mask sealed over his face as his hand closed around the sword. The screen blinked once more as a final message left the island, bound for the Tribunal. "Request accepted. On my way."

The devil had been released. The countdown had begun. And the god walked into hell, not with the promise to win… but with the promise to return.
