Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Twelve Seals, One King

[Ding! A compatibility has been detected between Authority: Path of the Twelve Zodiacs and Familiar Summoning.]

[Would you like to merge them?]

[Price: 250GP]

[Y/N]

"…" – Kojou stared quietly at the floating screen in front of him. It had been a week since his battle with Lucifer, and he had emerged victorious in the final strike.

Though he had won, Kojou realized later—after inheriting Lucifer's power—that Lucifer never intended to win in the first place. He had allowed Kojou to defeat him. Pandora's help hadn't even been necessary; the moment Lucifer fell, he turned into golden light and merged with Kojou.

After gazing at the screen, Kojou pressed [Y], knowing that this would greatly enhance his Beast Vassals.

[Guild Points: 500 → Guild Points: 250]

"I'm so tired~" – Kojou sighed as he collapsed onto the sofa. He had completed everything he wanted in the Campione World and could return anytime.

But he was waiting for the girls—they would be going back with him. His new F Rank status as an adventurer granted him the privilege of bringing others along to his world. Although the path was currently one-way, it would become two-way once he advanced in adventurer rank.

[Ding! Merge complete.]

Boom!

After the notification, Kojou felt a sudden surge of power within him. His Beast Vassals had become significantly stronger—he could feel it clearly.

But it wasn't just them. Kojou himself had grown exponentially stronger—so much so that the ground beneath him began to tremble, and space distorted around him.

[Ding! Familiar Summoning and Authority: Path of the Twelve Zodiacs have been successfully merged. You have acquired: Summoning the Twelve Avatars of Destruction.]

[You have also acquired a new ability: Seal of The Twelve Star.]

"…" – Kojou immediately closed his eyes to absorb the information about his new powers. Without hesitation, he activated Seal of The Twelve Star on himself.

This ability was terrifyingly powerful—it could seal anything from humans to bloodlines and more. Kojou didn't hesitate. He sealed his own power using it.

Twelve glowing violet magic circles formed around him, and from each emerged a chain that bound him at twelve different points on his body—then vanished. The process repeated eleven more times.

"That was… incredibly dangerous," – Kojou muttered. If he hadn't sealed his power, this world would've likely been destroyed—his strength had increased to absurd levels.

Even now, sealed as he was, he could kill Voban with a single flick of his finger.

Yet despite sealing his powers, he didn't mind. He could remove the seals anytime with a single thought. In fact, Kojou liked the idea—it would be quite the spectacle to break those seals in the middle of battle.

What he sealed was not just his physical strength and magical energy, but also the power of his Beast Vassals. Their strength had grown just as abnormally. Just their presence alone could distort space and trigger natural disasters.

. . .

"Are you all truly sure you want to follow me?" – Kojou asked one last time. Everyone was ready to leave with him and go to his world. – "You must understand, my world is very different from this one… and you have no family there."

"We already know that," – Erica said with a smile. – "We've told our families we're leaving with you, and besides, it's not like we can't come back, right?"

"That's true… but I don't know how long it will take before I can help you return," – Kojou replied seriously. This wasn't a game. In the worst-case scenario, they might never be able to return.

"Thank you for your concern, Your Majesty, but Ena and the others have already decided to follow you—even if it means never coming back," – Ena smiled warmly. – "Ena and the rest will always be with Your Majesty—no matter the time or place."

"That's right, Master," – Liliana nodded firmly. – "As your knights, it is our duty to follow you wherever you go, to be the shield that guards you, and the sword that slays your enemies."

"Exactly. And this is the perfect chance to meet your family and get to know your other wives," – Lucretia added with a teasing wink.

"Thank you…" – Kojou whispered, genuinely touched. While he had told them they could stay, deep down he hadn't wanted to leave them—but he also didn't want to force them to follow him for selfish reasons.

"Is this all your luggage?" – Kojou asked as he glanced at the few bags they had brought.

"Yes. We brought plenty of money and plan to shop in your world for whatever else we need," – Erica nodded. They were all wealthy in this world and had converted much of their assets into paper currency. – "By the way, here's the money. You said you could exchange it through the Guild for use in your world, right?"

"That's right." – Kojou nodded, looking at the bags Erica pointed to—which were larger than their actual luggage. – "How much money are in these bags?"

He was genuinely curious. He himself had brought one billion dollars, which now seemed like nothing in comparison.

"If I remember correctly, each of us brought five billion dollars. So, it should total twenty billion," – Liliana said, as they had agreed not to bring too much—and five billion per person had felt reasonable.
