Chapter 35 - 34. Crazy

"..." Shigure expressionlessly looked at her. 'Right, why did I even assume that she would even know me?'

"You know, a vigilante active in Saitama..." Even so, he tried again.

Momo thought for a few seconds, "Wait, do you mean Heretic Smasher?"

"...Yeah. I don't know how to feel about being remembered like this." Shigure twitched.

"Shouldn't this be expected? I mean, knowing your tendencies, it's not hard to see." Momo shrugged, shifting her attention back to her phone.

"I guess." Momo had spent a lot of time around Shigure in his domain after his quirk awakened. She had also fought with him thousands of times, so she knew his tendencies.

"Say, do you hit females at that spot?"

"...Stop giving me ideas. Now that I think about it, that never came to my mind. Guess, as an advocate of gender equality, I need to do that." Shigure nodded to himself.

Momo deadpanned, "Wait, didn't your persona retire or something? How are you going to do that?" She typed something on her phone.

Shigure didn't reply, just looked at her.

"You fucker, no." A shiver ran up her spine. She looked Shigure right in the eye, "I am fucking going to nuke you if you do that." She said in a no-nonsense tone.

"Hey now," Shigure raised his hands in a surrender. "It's not that bad. We also need to work on your pain tolerance training, so we can include it there. As a future hero, you need at least my approval on pain tolerance. Even Keigo passed it."

Momo's glare intensified, "How about I hit your balls as a pain tolerance exercise then? Hawks is just an outlier. I don't think people can have that high level of pain tolerance."

"If for your satisfaction, I will let you hit me in the balls every time I hit you there. With Reversal, you won't be getting any permanent damage. Just mental. So?" Shigure grinned innocently.

However, to Momo, it looked like a devil's smile.

"What type of bonding activity is that?" She gasped. Her eyes widened to the size of saucers.

"And then, I kicked that guy in the butt and do you know what happened next?" Keigo was walking with an awkward rhythm. Drunk.

"No, I don't want to know how you take advantage of the villains. How does drinking alcohol exactly feel?" Shigure changed the question.

'The only time I have tasted alcohol was drinking wine with Tony on the day I reincarnated. I wonder how Tony is doing. Did he also get reincarnated like me? Maybe in Marvel.' Shigure chuckled at his joke.

Knowing Tony, it would be worth seeing if that happened.

"Dunno. It is okay, I guess. Kind of like a guilty pleasure. Then again, I don't know if that is the proper way to describe it. Ask me again when I am sober." Hawks shrugged.

"If I remember the question, then definitely."

"Anyway, did you hear that Gege made a new story? It's—"

BANG

A bullet streaked through the air, heading straight for Keigo's gut.

Shigure yanked him towards himself, preventing him from getting hit.

"Say thank you," Shigure said, looking at the assailant— a girl who looked around 20.

"Thank you."

The girl had a crazy expression on her face, and her smile was scary. Her hair was blonde, eyes were blue. Her beauty could qualify her to be a model. At least, that's what Shigure thought.

"Damn, what did you do for this baddie to look at you like that?" Shigure asked in astonishment. The look in the girl's eyes wasn't hatred or disgust or something along those lines.

It was Obsession.

'I think her obsession rivals my obsession for my quirk, which is ridiculous as the amount of time I have spent with my quirk is multiple times her age.' Shigure felt something was wrong.

"KEIGO. It has been so LONG." The girl shouted, walking towards them.

Shigure's entire body tensed, already engulfing the girl in his domain, ready to activate his quirk at any moment.

"Oh, Rika? You escaped from prison? That's quite a feat. Not many people could escape from Tartarus.' Keigo said, still drunk.

Just as Shigure heard Tartarus, he activated his quirk.

'Slow Down'

However, just then she moved.

In the next instant, she appeared in front of Shigure, her fist heading towards Shigure's face at deadly speed.

Despite being slowed down, her speed was ridiculous. Shigure would estimate it to be more than 2 Mach without his quirk in effect.

"Stop," Keigo ordered, and to Shigure's surprise, her fist stopped inches away from his face.

'Tier 2. She is fucking dangerous. No wonder she is in Tartarus.' Shigure instantly deduced her quirk tier.

It was only possible this easily due to the mastery she was displaying. A well-trained tier 2 quirk would mean that she is as powerful as top 100 heroes in the entirety of Japan.

In this world, the number of villains was several times that of heroes. The only reason society has not upturned is the lack of villains with tier 1 quirks compared to heroes.

"Who's he? Also, are you drunk?" She sniffed him.

"I would be guiding him, what was the word again?..." Keigo was half-sober. Feathers surrounded Rika, but she didn't even flinch.

"Apprentice?"

"Yeah, that's the word. Anyway, how did you escape Tartarus?"

"Bulldozed my way. Complicated. Anyway, I heard that you heard the top 5." The girl changed the topic, more interested in Hawks.

"Yeah. My quirk reached tier 1. In a few months, I would probably be number 3. Dunno if I could beat Endeavour or All Might." Keigo stumbled, using Shigure's shoulder as support.

He tapped the latter's shoulder twice— a signal to prepare to use Reversal on him.

"I think you can do that! In fact, with time, I won't be even surprised if you become Global number 1." The girl's eyes looked almost fanatical at this point.

Hawks chuckled. "Maybe in my 30s or something. To be honest, I prefer to be more laidback, you already know that."

'How the fuck did he got a fan who got into Tartarus? They seem quite familiar with each other. I wonder if Keigo was the one who captured her.' Shigure was half-amused at the scene in front of him.

"Anyway, you need to go back to your cell. You still have one more year of sentence, no? I will try to make sure that this break won't affect your sentence. After that, maybe you could work at my agency." Keigo lifted his palm in a chop, intending to knock her out.

"That's no fun. Why can't I spend more time with you now? Just a few hours." The girl pouted.

Keigo didn't say anything. Just stared at her with a now sober gaze.

"Tch. Fine. You better keep your promise." She agreed, and Keigo knocked her out.

Then his feathers carried her off.

"What the fuck did I just witnessed now?"

"It's complicated. Anyway, I would just advise you on one thing." Keigo turned towards Shigure.

"Real-life yanderes are scarier than anime ones. I have experienced that first-hand. So, don't stick your duck in crazy." After saying that, Keigo vomited.

Shigure, with the help of his quirk, was able to dodge the point-blank surprise attack.

"Why did you call me?" Shigure asked Nezu.

He was standing in the latter's office.

"I have some news for you." Nezu shifted his attention to him.

"Yeah?"

"Your days of Viligatism are over."

"Wasn't it already over?" Shigure furrowed his eyebrow.

Nezu ignored his statement. He then pushed a tablet at Shigure. The latter lifted it.

"Oh? It's finally here. When are the exams?" Shigure lit up when he looked at the entrance form for the Provisional Hero license exam.

"It's in September. Most probably first or second Sunday."

"Still so long away." Shigure sighed.

After exchanging a few more words, he exited U.A.

He took the subway to his city and then started walking towards his house.

'I wonder if any other character will also take these exams other than Momo. This is definitely a Canon change. Though from what I heard, you need to be at least recommended by a pro. Todoroki is a must. But, will he pass the exam?' Shigure hummed.

Suddenly, he raised his eyebrows. 'Why do I get a feeling that somebody is watching me? A stalker?'

Shigure walked for a few minutes, taking different turns, yet the feeling didn't vanish.

"Weird." He went into the alley and waited.

5 minutes passed by, yet nobody took any action.

He then sat above a green dumpster.

10 more minutes passed. By this moment, Shigure was watching an online video.

"And that's why Endeavour is the worst hero." Shigure nodded along with the presenter.

He might not fully agree with the points the guy made, but he surely liked how entertaining the video was.

He then scrolled a bit, trying to find what to watch next in his feed.

STEP

Shigure turned his head towards the person who entered the alley.

It was a girl wearing a high-school uniform. Her face had a crazy smile. She had a knife in each hand.

"Finally, you showed yourself. I was getting bored." Shigure put the phone in his pocket. He took out the staff from his pocket and expanded it.

'What was her name again? Toma? Tora? Toga?'
