Chapter 36 - 35. Stockpile

Toga didn't say anything. She dashed at him when Shigure was expanding his staff.

"Huh?" She blinked.

Suddenly, Shigure disappeared from her vision, and it was replaced by— a wall?

She suddenly felt something was squeezing her entire body, which confused her greatly.

"So, tell me why you are stalking me?"

She darted her eyes left and right, and only then did she realise what had happened.

She was on the ground, disarmed and tied up by the white-coloured scarf Shigure had previously worn.

"I am your big fan."

Shigure blinked. Suddenly, he felt deja vu.

'Wait, isn't this similar to what happened to Keigo that day? But isn't she important to the plot or something? Moreover, she would become obsessed with Izuku.'

"Can you free me?"

"I don't know. What kind of fan tries to stab their idol? Moreover, with a knife laced with neurotoxin." Shigure put his staff back in his pocket and crossed his arms.

"Special kind like me. So, pretty please?"

"Fine. But if you try something, you are going to regret it." Shigure retracted his capture weapon, turning it back into a scarf wrapped around his neck.

'Can't trust her body. Reversal.' Just to be cautious, Shigure turned back his scarf to the state before touching Toga, as not to get affected by any poison on her clothes.

She quickly stood and then took a deep breath. She then held her breath and cleared her mind.

'Huh? Is it not working?' She looked at Shigure, who was looking at her with a deadpan expression.

She took a step to the right, then back, and then moved to the left. Throughout these motions, Shigure's gaze didn't leave her face.

"You can see me?" She asked, dumbfounded.

"Yeah." Shigure's domain allowed him to spatially locate objects present in it if he focused hard enough.

'She is quite weak. Then again, I guess I am being too biased. She would have been troublesome to deal with when I was tier 3. Her threat is higher than those 5 assassins. Guess, she is a decent enough threat for most of tier 3s.' Shigure hummed, sitting on top of the dumpster.

"You are getting more interesting the more I see you." She stood in front of him, the look in her eyes would tell anybody that something was wrong with her.

"How about we talk about you? You know me? How?" Shigure leaned his face away from Toga's face, which was too close.

"Your streams."

"Oh." 'Wait, I didn't think that Canon characters would watch it. She doesn't seem like a gamer or anything. Then again, looks could be deceiving. Just look at Momo.'

Silence stretched between them. Toga stared. Shigure stared back.

"Uh... So do you want an autograph or something?" Shigure broke the silence.

Himiko blinked, "Sure."

Shigure took out a marker from his pocket. 'I had this prepared in case I meet one of my fans one day. Who would have thought that Himiko would be the first fan I would sign an autograph for?'

"Where should I sign it?" Shigure asked, then instantly regretted it.

'What if asks me to sign somewhere inappropriate?'

"Here." Luckily for him, Toga gave him her phone to sign.

"So... what now? Why were you after me anyway?" Shigure knew that if he wasn't strong enough, he would be in a difficult spot in front of her.

Luckily, he was strong, and Himiko was acting as a well-behaved cat.

"Actually, I just found you walking and decided to stalk you..."

Shigure hummed. 'Can I use her? It would be handy to have a person like her active underground. Though controlling her would be problema—' His eyes suddenly widened.

'That could work.' He liked the idea that popped into his mind.

"Do you know Heretic Smasher?" He suddenly asked.

"Who?" She tilted her head, confused.

"Never mind. Anyway, I need to go. See ya." 'On second thought, that was a dumb idea.'

"W—Wait."

Shigure looked back, "Yeah?"

"Are we not going to meet again?" She asked, looking distraught.

"Huh?" 'Guess not only her initial plan flopped, she also knows that it would be highly unlikely to find me again randomly.'

"How about we exchange contacts?"

Himiko blinked. It was her turn to be shocked.

"Let's assume that I don't know that you are a wanted criminal. So even if this connection gets caught, I would have a leeway. Though, make sure that it doesn't. Anyway, even if you change numbers, as long as you remember my number, it should be fine."

Shigure took her phone and saved his contact as "SecondPlayer".

He then looked her right in the eye, "Maybe you should train your quirk. You have quite high potential. If you ever want to become a hero, let me know. I have some connections. Just don't do something drastic." With that, Shigure left the area, leaving a very confused Toga behind.

'She looked one year older than me. Guess, she was older by a year compared to the main cast.'

BEEP BEEP BEEP.

Shigure took out his phone.

[ Birdhead ]

"Mochi-Mochi?"

"No, I don't have any Mochi," Keigo replied in a deadpan tone.

"That's heartbreaking. Anyway, why did you call?"

"Right. Momo got kidnapped." Keigo said in an urgent tone, quite different from his previous tone.

"WHAT? Are you sure? Maybe the kidnappers got kidnapped by her." Shigure was astounded by Keigo's words. For a second, he almost thought he was getting pranked.

"Yeah, it was kind of surprising. The other person had a teleportation-related quirk."

Shigure frowned. "I will be there in a minute." He hung up.

'Speed Up: 40x'

He started sprinting towards the apartment.

'This is troublesome. Momo had recently awakened her quirk to tier 2 with the help of my quirk. It's almost impossible to kidnap her by normal means unless somebody on the level of the top 20 comes. But, if teleportation is involved, then it's not impossible.' He sighed.

Momo had tagged along with Shigure when the latter trained. Her mental age had exceeded her physical age by a considerable degree. After reaching the peak of tier 3 in terms of mastery, she broke to tier 2.

Unlike Shigure's quirk, her quirk awakened in nearly a decade.

"Ha" Shigure's breathing roughened. He opened the door to Keigo's flat.

"Boo"

Shigure blinked.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY."

"Tch, you got me." Shigure clicked his tongue, looking at both Momo and Keigo.

"Yup," Keigo said, before lifting the whole cake and thrusting at Shigure.

"Not this time." Unlike last year, Shigure was ready to counterattack.

With that, a three-way war between the trio started with cake as a weapon.

The only one who lost in that exchange was Keigo's house.

'Maybe I will do a birthday stream tonight.' Shigure wondered.

---

Date- 7th September.

"Are you nervous?" Shigure asked Momo.

"Nah. I would win."

Shigure pinched his nose. "Why did you even get into that brain rot?" He shifted his gaze outside the window.

They were currently sitting in a limo, heading towards the exam centre.

"Every time I see this car, it reminds me that you are a rich gal."

"Aren't you also technically rich?" She rolled her eyes.

"Not much compared to you. Though it's a pointless thing to discuss. What's in that suitcase? Are you going to bribe the invigilator with hard cash?"

Momo smirked, "Maybe I should try bribing you instead. How much will you take to make sure that I pass?"

Shigure's expression turned thoughtful, "I wonder. I don't really require money anymore."

"Oh my. What are you trying to propose then?" She put one hand on her mouth, looking at him with widened eyes.

Shigure's expression turned disgusted. "Not that. This ojou-san seems to be quite perverted."

"She definitely is." Momo nodded. "Anyway, this contains my hero outfit. Did you forget to bring yours?" She threw him an unimpressed look.

"I forgot to ask to make one. Never mind, I won't need one." Shigure shrugged. He had an experience fighting in just tracks and a t-shirt.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that. Did you not see the rules? You are not allowed to bring those chocolates of yours. No more unlimited energy." Momo poked his cheek.

"Huh? Where is that written?" Shigure asked, shocked.

"You are not serious about this, are you?" She handed him the tablet.

Shigure read the line again and again. "I hate you."

"What did I do?" She made a dumbfounded face.

"Nothing. You did nothing, that's your fault. Anyway, can't you lend me your hero suit? With your quirk awakened, you could stockpile energy. I can't do that." Shigure threw the cutest expression he could make.

"T—that won't work on me. Plus, you definitely won't look good in my outfit. Guess you need to play at hard difficulty."

Momo's quirk awakening allowed her to stockpile a large amount of energy in her body. She could directly use that energy to convert it into matter.

Moreover, for large objects, she could concentrate the energy in that shape and release it from her body, effectively creating objects without body contact.

"Tch, whatever." Shigure shrugged.

They soon reached the exam centre.
