Chapter 199 - Chapter 199 – The Great Ninja War

The roar of the Allied Shinobi Forces thundered through the air. Their morale was sky-high, and every single ninja was ready for battle.

The moment Hyuga Gakuya finished speaking, a young ninja from the coalition stepped forward and shouted,

"Supreme Leader! We will follow you without hesitation! For peace, we will fight and never back down!" His eyes burned with unwavering resolve.

Another seasoned shinobi echoed his cry,

"That's right! Past grudges mean nothing now. We fight to protect our homes!" He clenched his weapon tightly, veins bulging from his arms.

A ninja from a small nation waved a short blade, screaming hoarsely,

"I don't care who they are—we'll make sure they never come back alive!" His voice was so loud it seemed to pierce the heavens.

The Five Kage watched in stunned silence. None of them had ever seen the shinobi so united, so fervent.

And it had all been sparked by just a few words from Hyuga Gakuya.

Ōnoki muttered to himself, "He really knows how to win hearts… No wonder he managed to build such a massive foundation in so little time. I can't let him be the only one gaining popularity here."

Suddenly, the Raikage's booming voice rang out,

"All of you, get your heads in the game! If anyone embarrasses themselves on the battlefield, I'll make sure you regret it!"

The shinobi of Kumogakure roared in response, instantly rallying around their leader's fierce declaration.

The other four Kage weren't about to miss their chance to raise morale either.

Mizukage Mei Terumī raised her arm and called out, "Let's show them the strength of shinobi!"

Tsuchikage Ōnoki spoke in his steady tone, "Work together, all of you. Do not waste this opportunity!"

Tsunade clenched her fists and shouted, "Warriors! Summon your courage and show the enemy our resolve!"

Gaara looked over the impassioned army and declared, "For peace. For the future. We will prevail!"

Once again, the Allied Shinobi Forces' rallying cries rang to the heavens. Morale soared, and everyone braced for the coming storm.

Under the command of the Five Kage, the four mixed units moved out to their pre-set defensive lines.

...

Meanwhile, in a mountain cave nearly a hundred kilometers from the Allied Forces' defenses, Kabuto Yakushi, Obito, and Sasuke stood side by side. Beside them yawned a massive pit, filled with a horde of White Zetsu created from Hashirama cells and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

Around them stood rows upon rows of coffins, each one containing a reanimated ninja sealed by the Edo Tensei technique.

Both Obito and Uchiha Sasuke bore a closed Rinnegan on their foreheads, ready to open at any moment.

A group of White Zetsu popped up from the ground and reported,

"Just as you ordered. The Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails Jinchūriki are stationed within the Allied camp. They're planning to stay put and defend."

Obito let out a cold laugh.

"Heh. Fools. Do they really think they can stop us just by waiting around?" His eyes glinted with disdain.

Kabuto adjusted his glasses, his voice low and sinister.

"Still, we can't get careless. This time, we're facing the entire ninja world."

Sasuke crossed his arms, expression ice-cold.

"Who cares? We'll just cut them down."

Obito shook his head. "Don't be reckless. We'll stick to the plan. First, let the fodder soften them up. Then we'll end this pathetic world ourselves."

With a wave of his hand, Kabuto released the seals on a group of weaker reanimated shinobi and sent them charging toward the Allied defenses alongside the White Zetsu.

These early pawns were nothing special—barely elite jōnin at best. Disposable.

Among them were Asuma, Dan Katō, Torune.

At this point, the enemy side was essentially two people deceiving one Uchiha. Kabuto and Obito already knew Hyuga Gakuya's full plan.

Only Sasuke still believed he was working for the Ten-Tails' revival.

...

On the eastern front of the Allied Forces, the Raikage barked out orders with a stern expression.

"Stay sharp! Watch the enemy's movements!" His eyes scanned the battlefield with unrelenting focus.

A scout suddenly shouted, "Raikage-sama! A large force is approaching fast!"

The Raikage narrowed his eyes and saw the White Zetsu charging like a tidal wave.

"Prepare for battle!"

...

On the southern front, Mizukage Mei swung her water whip, knocking a charging White Zetsu through the air.

"Don't let them break through our lines!"

...

On the western front, Tsuchikage Ōnoki hovered in midair, commanding his troops.

"Concentrate your attacks! Wipe them out!"

...

On the northern front, Gaara manipulated his sand into towering walls, halting the Zetsu advance.

Shinobi stood atop the barricades, hurling weapons down and mowing through swathes of White Zetsu.

...

In the Allied camp, Hyuga Gakuya observed all four fronts through sensory jutsu. He frowned slightly.

"So boring… When's the real fight going to start? This feels like child's play. How long do we have to keep this up?"

"Didn't Kabuto and Obito prep those ten Pain puppets? When are they going to show up? I've been looking forward to this."

Those ten puppets were reanimated jinchūriki, each forcibly sealed with a captured tailed beast.

For the ones still alive in this generation, Kabuto had replaced them with previous hosts. As for the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails, partial chakra and substitutes like Blue B, the Gold and Silver Brothers filled the gap.

That made ten in total. Perfect.

Just then, a shinobi from the Nakayama clan rushed over.

"The enemy's pushing hard on all fronts! The combination of White Zetsu and reanimated ninja is overwhelming our defenses!"

Gakuya's face grew serious.

"Tell them to hold for half a day. I'll send puppets and shinobi to reinforce each line. Rotate out the severely wounded. We will hold."

Even as he gave orders, the pressure on the battlefield was intensifying. The Allied Forces resisted with all their might, but casualties were mounting.

In the command tent, Hyuga Gakuya quickly deployed support troops—puppets and ninja units alike—preparing to reinforce whichever front needed it most.

"Go! Hold the lines at all costs!" he shouted.

The puppet army and reinforcements dashed to the battlefield, offering a temporary reprieve for the struggling defenders.

But just as the tides seemed to shift, Kabuto revealed a sinister grin.

He unleashed his real trump cards.

With a surge of chakra, even stronger Edo Tensei ninjas appeared—former Akatsuki members like Kakuzu, Sasori, Deidara, Hidan, Chiyo, Mū, Rasa, the Third Raikage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Tobirama Senju, Hashirama Senju, Minato Namikaze, and Sakumo Hatake were all unsealed.

Only Uchiha Madara and Nagato remained as Kabuto's final weapons.

According to the script, those two wouldn't appear until the Eight-Tails and Nine-Tails were forced onto the field.
