Two days have passed since we sold the ''Rabbits'' and we were back at Celin, back inside the ''Reflection'' as Nail said, from now on we will be training here, since my physic has improved, it was the best option. I was following Nail, as I understood, what he meant by training was me fighting reflected creatures to gain experience, though that day when we hunt those things, with barely fighting one I was already exhausted so I had no idea how will I handle. Infront of me, Nail was walking on a certain barely doing sound it was something sutile but awesome at the same time, I hope I'll be able to learn how to do it in the future.
At the same time, I noticed something, all my senses seem to have improved since I stood infront of the Mother Mirror a few days ago, I started taking notice of small things, as the hondulations the Mother Mirror made when people crossed it, the small details my face had, when I saw the horse in the reflection of that puddle when I was walking back home. I can't understand how but being trained by Nail, wasn't just about strength and intellect, his trainning was changing me on a general way. While I was lost in thought, Nail stopped 20 meters away from the river that we were.
"What's up ?" I asked a bit confused, Nail didn't answer, turning his head to the left side of the forest, through the uncountable amount of trees, there was a hill, Nail without giving an answer, changed directions and started walking directly to the hill, following him I couldn't do much but follow him.
After a few minutes, of walking without talking, we reached the side of the hill, there was a cave, Nail stood infront of it. "There's at least four torned inside, they should be around of the same level of that rabbit you hunted.
"I don't want to sound rude, but, if I barely killed one, how am I supposed to do it?" Nail turned his head to look at me "In case you're in danger, I'll intervene" He said with a dismisive tone, sounding as if he was sure that I wouldn't be wounded. Though I didn't agree to this, it's not like I had a choice, well, I did but that meant leaving, and I wanted to be stronger so at least for me, that wasn't an option. With a long sigh, I grabbed my knife and got inside the cave.
The inside of the cave was dark, I started walking heading straight forward as I could feel how I was getting deeper and deeper into the cave, behind me, even if I couldn't hear him I could feel how Nail was looking at me. Walking deeper and deeper, The path up ahead became completely dark, luckly, I brought a flashlight in case something like this happened, I kept walking until I've met what it seemed a ''room'' it was as the walls of the cave expanded making a rounded kind of room, with this I felt that I should get ready, so I turned the flashlight off, kneeled down, and kept my mouth shut, inside the silence I heard it, what it seemed a growl, with a ton of steps, when I made sure the sound was leaving, I shut the flashlight back on and pointed towards where the sound came on.
On the ground there where 8 footprints, and a mark of ''it'' laying, it definetly had the form of a spider, but much bigger than what a spider should be, from the footprints and marks I could say it was almost as big as the bunny that I killed, but this spider was different, I don't know how but it did not feel my smell, maybe it couldn't smell? It was a possibility, after all, when a reflected creature turned into a torned, depending on how much time it had spent inside the ''darkness'' the more it would forget, and depending on its memories, a torned will change it's body acordingly, probabbly the spider forgot it,s sences and its true size.
After organizing my thoughts, I gripped the knive with more strength, and started following the tracks that the spider left, I kept following until I found it straight infront of me, I kneeled getting ready to kill it, with a sudden movement, I jumped and stabbed the knife on its abdomen, the Spider screeched trying to run away, I positioned my body on top of it, avoiding its fangs as I stabbed deeper and deeper the knife, on an attempt the spider triedusing one of its legs to touch me on an attempt to somehow getting me closer to it, seeing the attempt, I pulled out one of my hands from gripping my knife, grabbing the leg and tried breaking it, pulling it towards myself, the spider's screech became even more loud, I started worrying, Nail said theres atleast four inside the cave, wont it alarm the other three? In any case I had to kill this thing now! I started using more force breaking the leg on the process, now with both hands, I grabbed the joint of its head and body, and stabbed the knife precisely in the middle. The spider's screech slowly got quitter, as if it was drowning with it's own blood, finally, I could feel how it stooped moving, I started breathing heavily, trying to recover, feeling exhausted, I stood up, and cleaned the sweat of my forehead and sat on the right side of the hall.
"You did surprisingly good" said Nail as he somehow seemed to materialize next to me. "Thanks" I said as I looked towards where the voice came from. "Would you store the corpse on that magic mirror of yours?" I pointed at the corpse of the spider with my chin.
"Sure. also, I've confirmed that there's three more"
"Oh, great, but I'm already exhausted, so you'll have to take it from here." I said with a hint of sarcasm at the first part of the sentence. I could feel how Nail crouched next to me. "Look let's do this, if you manage to kill the other 3, you can sell all of them to Nora, and I'll teach you to use whatever weapon you're interested on learning. But if you don't, you'll have to pay every time you want to use my ''magic mirror,'' and all the corpses gathered today, will be sold by me, including yours."
I looked a bit sceptical at Nail "Don't you think what you're offering is a bit too much? And how can you assure me you know what weapon I'd want to use?" Nail sighed "Don't look at this as a bet but more like...a quest, and don't forget right now I'm workingas your master so you'll eventually will need to learn how to use other weapons. So, do you accept it or not?"
After a few seconds I sighed, he had a point. "Alright, deal."
