Chapter 246 - Chapter 246: Exploring Ravenclaw's Treasure

Chapter 246: Exploring Ravenclaw's Treasure

"That's truly incredible."

Ravenclaw nodded, then said, "If you're busy, go ahead and do what you need to do. I'll stay here and study things on my own."

"Alright." Dylan didn't refuse. "You can go anywhere you like, but there are two places you should avoid."

"One is the hut at the edge of the coast, and the other is a deserted island in the ocean. Those are my experimental sites. If you want to visit them, please wait until I can accompany you."

Ravenclaw naturally nodded and smiled. "This is your world. I'm just your steward, so of course, I will follow your instructions."

Dylan waved his hand at Ravenclaw. "Then I'll head out now."

Dylan had no intention of trying to take Ravenclaw out. He wasn't sure if she would turn back into a portrait, remain in her current state, or simply be unable to leave at all. But he was not going to take that risk right now.

He still needed to take the time to study and confirm whether Ravenclaw was a spirit or something else. For now, it was enough for Ravenclaw to stay in his world.

Leaving the suitcase space, Dylan immediately put it back into his system panel.

If he had left the suitcase in the outside world, Ravenclaw might have been able to find a way to get out on her own, but by putting the suitcase into the system panel space, Dylan could ensure that she wouldn't be able to leave on her own.

Although Ravenclaw had personally promised him that she would stay in his world, Dylan was, of course, taking a precaution. This wasn't a matter of whether he was judging a gentleman's heart with the mind of a villain. It didn't matter what kind of person he was. What mattered was that Dylan was so cautious that he would take precautions against himself, let alone others. This was just his habit and had nothing to do with his character. Of course, if you really had to say something, he was just overly cautious.

"With Ravenclaw here, Lockhart can finally get a break and just do some manual labor according to her instructions."

This time, he had found something like a local god for his world, and a very high-level one at that. She not only knew various kinds of magic, but she also had a vast store of knowledge. In the future, if he had any questions, he might not even need to bother Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall. He could just ask Ravenclaw, and she would probably have the answer.

However, after all these years, magic had surely undergone several changes and evolutions. There was some knowledge that Ravenclaw might not know, but he assumed she would quickly catch up on the new knowledge that had developed over the years. That was just her nature.

"Next time, I should also put the portable magical library in the pet space, and I need to add more books."

Dylan thought for a moment and decided to let Ravenclaw read the new knowledge as soon as possible. She already had a considerable amount of knowledge stored. Learning the new magic that had developed in the current era wouldn't be too difficult. Plus, the stronger she became, the more it would benefit him.

"Oh, right. Tomorrow is Christmas. I need to give everyone their presents."

Dylan hadn't handed out the gifts before leaving school. After all, he had brought Luna back, and this time, he wanted to celebrate Christmas with her. Since tomorrow was Christmas, the gifts should be delivered on that day, preferably so that they were the first thing people saw when they woke up.

As for how to deliver the gifts...

Dylan chuckled to himself and summoned Luna again.

"Hoot?"

Luna tilted her head, looking at Dylan. She had just seen a very beautiful older sister in her master's world and was about to go say hello when her master summoned her out.

"Tomorrow is Christmas. This is the Christmas present I prepared for you."

Dylan sat on the bed and gently tapped Luna's head with his fingertip. The moonlight streamed through the window and into his room, making her already snow-white feathers look even more beautiful, almost as if they were glowing.

Dylan took out a small chain adorned with tiny blue crystals. It was very small, too small for a human to wear, but it looked perfect for Luna. Luna blinked her eyes, looking at the chain. The blue crystals were no bigger than a pea, maybe even smaller, but they looked like crushed stars. As Dylan gently shook the chain, it shimmered with a galaxy-like glow.

"Hoot hoot!"

Luna hooted excitedly.

"How is it? Do you like it? I'll put it on you."

Dylan gently rubbed her beak with his hand, then draped the chain around her fluffy neck. The moment it was on, Luna hooted and even puffed up her tail feathers proudly. The blue crystals hung from her snow-white feathers, like a starlit river wrapped around moonlight. The entire chain was now glowing with a soft blue light, and a faint magical aura surrounded it.

"Hoot hoot!"

Luna squinted her eyes, feeling a very comfortable sensation spreading through her body. As the feeling swept over her, she felt more energetic.

"I made this especially for you. I've inscribed many spells on it. When you flap your wings, this blue crystal will channel the wind, making it easier for you to fly."

"If you get tired of flying, you don't have to rush to find a place to rest. This crystal can attract the surrounding air currents and let you glide. It will feel like you're dozing in the clouds, but don't fall asleep, okay?"

Dylan pointed to another tiny crystal.

"And this one will cast a healing spell if you accidentally get hurt, and..."

Dylan pointed to all the remaining crystals.

"These are all protective spells. It's too difficult to inscribe them on such small crystals, so I made them into half a chain. If someone attacks you with a spell, it will automatically form a shield. Just escape as quickly as possible, don't try to fight, okay?"

"Getting away safely is the most important thing." Dylan reminded Luna.

"Hoot hoot (You're so good to me, master!)"

The little owl was even more excited and turned her head back and forth 180 degrees.

"Alright, alright... that's very strange, you know?"

Dylan stopped her. Luna stopped moving, but she nuzzled her head against Dylan's arm affectionately.

"That's enough."

Then, Dylan snapped his fingers. The next moment, the entire bed he was sitting on was covered in all sorts of gift boxes.

Dylan poked Luna's head. "Here. These are the gifts I want to give everyone. It's a lot of hard work for you to deliver them all tonight."

"Hoot..."

Luna, who had been happily nuzzling Dylan's arm, froze. She turned her head and looked at the mountain of gift boxes. The entire owl was petrified on the spot.

Dylan tilted his head. "What's wrong?"

Luna's big eyes looked at Dylan with a watery gaze.

"Hoot hoot, hoot hoot hoot (Do I have to deliver all of this in one night?)"

"Yes! Correct answer!"

Luna: (T_T)!

Her heart felt cold~

"Hurry up and get going. If you don't hurry, you might be delivering them until morning."

Dylan stroked Luna's head with a smile.

"Hoot hoot..."

Wearing the little blue crystal necklace Dylan had given her, Luna had no way of refusing her master's command. She weakly shook her body and started her miserable work.

Seeing this, Dylan chuckled. He gently hooked his finger, and the window opened instantly.

Luna: o(╥﹏╥)o

Holding a gift in her beak, Luna flapped her wings and flew out. It was a good thing she ate a lot every day and was in good physical condition. Otherwise, with such a heavy load, it would have been a real struggle for her.

The little creature, Coal Ball, who was playing with Ravenclaw in the pet space, had no idea that its companion was having such a hard time every day.

"Hoot hoot!"

As soon as Luna took off, the blue crystal necklace she was wearing began to emit a faint blue glow, which then integrated into her body. Instantly, Luna felt her body become lighter and more powerful.

After sending Luna on her way, Dylan thought carefully. "Although I don't need to prepare a special gift for Harry, I should still show my appreciation. I'll just send him a regular gift box."

"I also have a gift for Luna, a necklace for her and for her owl. I'll just send something simple to Ron and Hermione."

"I've already prepared gifts for the professors, but even though I have Ravenclaw's portrait now, the portraits I asked them to prepare before I left school aren't ready yet. Are they going to give them to me as Christmas presents?"

Dylan pouted. What kind of arrangement was this? He had asked for his own Christmas present. If the professors only gave him their portraits, they wouldn't have to bother with thinking of any extra gifts.

It was just like how Dylan had re-gifted the Marauder's Map from the Weasley twins to Harry.

"How can they do that! That's too clever!"

Dylan felt that this behavior was not appropriate.

"Oh, right. Ravenclaw's appearance was too sudden. I haven't had time to prepare a gift for her yet."

Dylan's hand went to his chin as he began to consider what would be a good gift for Ravenclaw.

"Hmm, I'll just try to fill up my portable magical library and give it to Head of House Ravenclaw. That way, I don't have to think about what to give her, and I don't have to rush."

An entire night should be enough time for him to prepare.

"Sigh~ But it's already night. It's too late to buy books. If I only give her my own collection, it won't seem like much."

In fact, every time Dylan read a book, he would make a copy and add it to his portable magical library as his own collection. This meant that his magical library wasn't small, but compared to the library, the difference was huge; there was no comparison.

"I wonder what's in Ravenclaw's treasure? If I can get the things from the treasure, not only can I study them, but since it's Ravenclaw's treasure, there should be a lot of books in there, right?"

He could give the treasure and the magical library as a Christmas gift to Ravenclaw. He was sure she would be very happy. And... even though he gave the items to Ravenclaw, she was stuck in his world and couldn't run away. So in the end, it would appear that the items were in Ravenclaw's hands, but they were still in his, right? And someone else would even help him manage them.

"Hmm, I'll go check out that treasure location tonight."

Dylan took out the treasure map. Then he paused, his body transforming into a black shadow. He not only passed through the wall but also soared into the clouds, hidden by the darkness of the night.

Soon, Dylan arrived at the sea area described on the treasure map. He hovered fifty meters above the sea surface. The salty sea breeze ruffled his black cloak. His appearance had completely changed. Now, he was not Dylan but Karthus!

Just then, Dylan noticed the yellowish treasure map in his hand suddenly emit a faint glow. An arrow made of ink appeared on the map, pointing to a swirling undercurrent below him.

Dylan slowly descended. As he got closer, the treasure map in his hand began to warm up slightly. As he approached, a series of translucent symbols began to emerge on the surface of the sea. The runes steamed between the sea and the night, looking as if someone had used starlight to write an ancient secret message on the sea.

Dylan hadn't mentioned Ravenclaw's treasure to her earlier. First of all, he wasn't sure if she even remembered it. Secondly, he had the treasure map. He could find the location on his own. There was no need to ask Ravenclaw again. He'd rather get the treasure and see what was inside before deciding whether to tell her about it.

Suddenly, a bronze chain covered in seaweed emerged from the center of the undercurrent. The chain seemed to have stretched out from within the starlight runes.

Dylan raised his eyebrows. He was certain that when he had used his magic to scan this area earlier, he hadn't seen these chains or Ravenclaw's treasure. Clearly, Ravenclaw had used some method to hide her treasure, and it could only be opened with the treasure map.

Dylan was very satisfied with this. After all, if the treasure was simply buried under the sea, it would have been found long ago. After all these years, England was so small.

A bunch of wizards flying back and forth would have probably divided Ravenclaw's treasure long ago. How could it have been left for him to come and take?
