Chapter 247: Fool! You've Been Tricked! Get Lost!
Dylan tugged on the anchor chain. A rumbling of gears turning came from the seabed.
Dylan looked left and right, then waved his wand, and a large number of Silencing Charms flew out, covering the sea in all directions.
Then, all of a sudden, the entire sea surface sank sharply.
Dylan thought for a moment and waved his wand again. A Disillusionment Charm covered the area of the sea.
Dylan wasn't sure if Ravenclaw had considered whether future people would take her treasure and if it would cause too much of a commotion. He didn't want to attract the attention of others, so he had to take some necessary precautions.
Looking at the sunken sea water, Dylan immediately saw a marble palace that had been soaked in seawater for a very long time.
"So did Ravenclaw hide this treasure in a virtual space that overlaps with reality? Or did she use some other spell on this sea area?"
Dylan clicked his tongue and slowly approached the palace.
A motto was carved on the arch of the palace.
Wisdom is the key to truth.
Dylan raised his eyebrows.
Just then, the two stone statues on either side of the palace gate suddenly opened their eyes.
"The key."
Dylan remembered the key he had obtained from the treasure map and took it out. The blue-eyed stone gargoyle on the left opened its mouth. "Put it in my mouth."
Dylan: (・_・)
That sounds a bit strange, doesn't it?
With a look of disgust, Dylan threw the key into the stone gargoyle's mouth.
The blue-eyed stone statue immediately swallowed the key. Dylan thought it would open the gate, but the stone statue on the right, which had a pair of ruby eyes, laughed loudly.
"Your test has failed! To trust so easily, you have no wisdom at all! Leave! The key will not be returned to you!"
Dylan froze. The two stone statues stared at him, but they saw no annoyance, helplessness, or even anger on his face. On the contrary, the human wizard had a playful smile on his face!
Both stone statues were stunned. What was wrong with this human wizard? He was blocked from the gate by such an easy test; he was a complete idiot. And even though they had tricked him out of the key, this guy still had the nerve to smile?
The red-eyed stone statue on the right had not been in the human world for a long time, so it wasn't in a hurry to drive the human wizard away. Instead, it asked curiously, "Why aren't you angry?"
Dylan smiled. "Angry? Why would I be angry?"
The blue-eyed stone statue's voice was hoarse and low. "You were so easily tricked and now have no chance to enter this palace. Shouldn't you be angry? I imagine you spent a long time looking for that key."
The red-eyed stone statue suddenly said, "No! This guy is just a little kid!"
A bright light flashed in the blue-eyed stone statue's eyes. "A child?"
Both stone statues were studying Dylan. But Dylan just kept smiling, and his smile grew wider and wider.
"What are you laughing at?" The blue-eyed stone statue frowned.
"Ah, I just suddenly found you two to be very interesting. You've given me a lot of inspiration for my research." Dylan gently rubbed his temple. It had been a long time since anyone had dared to play such a trick on him.
"I don't know where you got this key, but you should leave now! Everything in this palace belongs to us!" The red-eyed stone statue's voice was a bit sharp.
At the same time, a beam of light emanated from the tip of Dylan's wand.
"Oh? It seems you're not just simple stone statues. Did Ravenclaw imprison you in these stones?" Dylan's voice was full of curiosity.
"Why are you asking all these questions! Get lost! You didn't pass the test!" The red-eyed stone statue yelled.
"You're telling me to get lost?"
Dylan pointed his wand at the red-eyed stone statue. However, the statue showed no fear and even laughed loudly.
"You little kid! You want to cast a spell on me? You're not even old enough, but you sure know how to act tough!"
"Come on, come on, throw your strongest spell at my head! If I'm scared, I'm your grandson!"
"That's hilarious! I'm an indestructible stone statue. Why would I be afraid of a little kid like you?"
Dylan listened to the statue's arrogant words and nodded. "If you're so powerful, let's see how you handle this."
"Cruciatus Cures!"
Instantly, a holy beam of light shot out from the tip of Dylan's wand. Its speed was astonishing, hitting the red-eyed stone statue directly in the forehead.
The next moment, the red-eyed stone statue, which had not taken Dylan's spell seriously, changed its expression. Then came a painful wail!
"Ah!!! Aah ! What did you do to me?! What did you do to me?!"
The blue-eyed stone statue on the left was startled by the horrifying scream.
"Wait a minute? What spell did you use just now? Cruciatus Cures? The Cruciatus Curse?!"
It was a bit dumbfounded. Since when was the Cruciatus Curse such a holy color? And why would a little kid use this kind of spell? Had the Cruciatus Curse been modified to look like this after all these years?
The development of spells always adjusted and changed with the times. In a way, Voldemort had perfected the three Unforgivable Curses, so he could be called the founder of the new generation of Unforgivable Curses. But in reality, that didn't mean that there were no Unforgivable Curses before Voldemort. Just like how Dylan was now improving the three Unforgivable Curses again, giving them new abilities. If he were to give the properties of his spells to this world through a spell, he would be the founder of this new spell.
Of course, these spells might not have been called Unforgivable Curses many years ago. They might have simply been called Dark Arts, or brutal spells, or despicable curses. Spells were constantly being improved, but that didn't mean that there weren't similar spells before. Therefore, seeing this little wizard use such a strange spell, and one that seemed to be the Cruciatus Curse, the blue-eyed stone statue was immediately dumbfounded. What happened to the world? Even Dark Arts had become so powerful?
"Ah! Stop! Stop! Stop now!"
The red-eyed stone statue's wailing continued. Dylan still just held his wand up. The holy light from the tip of his wand was like a laser, continuously and directly hitting the red-eyed stone statue's forehead, unlike anyone else who had cast a spell and was done.
The blue-eyed stone statue felt a new emotion bubbling up inside it. It just wanted to say one thing: This is so fcking scary! What has happened to the wizarding world?!*
Dylan looked at the red-eyed stone statue that was constantly wailing. His voice was filled with doubt. "What's wrong? Don't you like this? Didn't you just ask me to help you loosen your skin?"
The red-eyed stone statue felt like it was about to pass out from the pain. However, its soul had been merged with this stone statue by Ravenclaw, and as a soul, it couldn't simply pass out. It could only continuously endure this pain that came from the soul.
Why does the Cruciatus Curse hurt so much? The Cruciatus Curse I know only causes a temporary heart attack!
Damn it! Why does a little wizard who hasn't even grown hair yet have such a terrifying spell?!
And what the hell! Who casts a spell like this?! You're shooting a laser here!
The red-eyed stone statue felt its consciousness beginning to blur. Although a soul couldn't faint, a soul could shatter! It felt that if it continued like this, its soul would be torn apart and even dissipate!
The red-eyed stone statue immediately begged for mercy.
"I was wrong! Grandpa! I was wrong! Please be the bigger person and let me go! We'll give you back the key! Please stop! Ah ! I can't take it anymore! Stop now!"
Dylan didn't stop just because of his words. Instead, he listened to the red-eyed stone statue's wailing for a while longer before he was satisfied and gently shook his wand. The next moment, the beam of light from the tip of his wand dissipated.
Dylan's control over his magic was now very precise. He didn't let any magic overflow. Instead, every single drop was used perfectly.
Dylan looked at the red-eyed stone statue, whose surface had become a little dim, and an elegant smile remained on his face.
"Knowledge is power, and it is also the key to truth. It seems that saying is indeed true."
The blue-eyed stone statue wanted to shrink its neck, but it couldn't move now. Only the expression on its face could twitch slightly.
The red-eyed stone statue's voice was weak and faint. "You you are definitely not an ordinary person. Why didn't you say so sooner? This is like a great flood washing away Merlin's shorts, isn't it?"
Dylan didn't bother to talk nonsense with this stone statue. Any specific questions could wait until he had moved the entire palace into his world.
"Since you're the guardians here, why don't you hurry up and open the door for me?"
The blue-eyed stone statue said, "You must have the key and answer a question correctly to enter."
Dylan raised his eyebrows.
The red-eyed stone statue was so scared that it immediately added, "That's right, but we can ask the question ourselves, and we can return the key to you."
The red-eyed stone statue's eyes darted to the side. "Hurry up and spit out the key! Do you still want to keep it? You don't know who this gentleman is!"
The blue-eyed stone statue paused. Then it opened its mouth. "You need to take the key yourself."
Dylan frowned slightly, but he didn't put his hand directly into its mouth. Instead, he turned his wand. A flash of magic, and a key floated out of the blue-eyed stone statue's throat.
It's a stone statue, yet it's also like a real creature... I wonder how Ravenclaw made these two stones.
"Don't you have a question to ask? Hurry up." Dylan said nonchalantly.
"Okay, okay! Please answer "
The red-eyed stone statue still hadn't recovered. Its soul was still in agony, but it didn't dare to neglect the young wizard, fearing that he would cast that spell on it again. It quickly spoke.
"What color are my eyes?"
Dylan's mouth twitched. "Yellow."
The blue-eyed stone statue immediately said, "Wrong answer "
"Correct answer! Correct answer! My eyes may look red, but they are actually yellow!"
The blue-eyed stone statue glanced at the red-eyed one, and saw it frantically winking at him.
After a moment of silence, the blue-eyed stone statue also spoke. "My test please answer, can I move right now?"
Dylan looked at it sideways. "Yes."
The blue-eyed stone statue opened its mouth.
The red-eyed stone statue immediately followed. "That's so right! Our mouths, eyes, facial expressions, and even our heads can twitch slightly! That answer is perfect! It's simply the definition of wisdom!"
The blue-eyed stone statue thought about it. It was indeed true. Although they didn't have the key now and couldn't move their bodies, their facial features could move. So saying that they could move wasn't a ridiculous answer.
"Alright, you've passed the test. Throw the key into his mouth, and the gate will open."
The red-eyed stone statue immediately nodded. "That's right, that's right. This isn't a test, and I'm not tricking you anymore. Just throw the key into my mouth!"
Dylan narrowed his eyes. He raised his hand and threw the key into the red-eyed stone statue's mouth. Seeing that Dylan was a bit suspicious, the red-eyed stone statue swallowed the key and immediately said, "This time it's for real. I swear on my family I won't play tricks on you again!"
The blue-eyed stone statue glanced at it. "But you don't have a family."
Red-eyed stone statue: ...
Did you have to say that?! It quickly explained, "Sorry, I forgot that I'm alone now and might not even be considered a person, but I'm really not lying to you!"
Dylan frowned. "Why are you talking so much nonsense? Since you're not lying, open the gate for me!"
The red-eyed stone statue came to its senses. "Oh, my brain. My brain's not working right now since I don't have one! I'll open the door for you right away!"
As soon as it finished speaking, the red-eyed stone statue looked like it was struggling to go to the bathroom. After a while, the tightly shut stone door made a grinding sound and slowly opened inward.
"Please go in. Once you have the treasure, you can come out and leave!"
Dylan glanced at the two stone statues and ignored the red-eyed one's little scheme. He stepped inside.
The moment Dylan stepped into the palace, he felt as if he had entered another dimension and was in a different world. At the same time, a fragrance wafted toward him.
This fragrance was very magical. It smelled like stars. Of course, stars don't have a scent, but the moment you smelled it, the first thing you felt was as if you had seen a sky full of stars.
