"Ginkaku, stop him! I'll save Kinkaku! Together, we can kill Uchiha Kai!" Mokkaku retreated swiftly, his seemingly frail body moving with surprising speed, reaching Kinkaku's side in a few bounds.
Seeing Kinkaku lying amidst the rubble, his chest caved in, bones shattered, and internal organs spilling out—far worse than hours before—Mokkaku knew this was a fatal injury, beyond even Tsunade's healing abilities.
Ignoring this, a look of pain flashed across Mokkaku's face as he produced a wooden box and removed a seal from it. A crimson piece of flesh, radiating a unique chakra aura, caught Kai's attention.
"Is that the Nine-Tails' meat?" Son Gokū asked, surprised.
Tailed beast bodies were formed from the Sage of Six Paths' chakra, making every piece incredibly potent. Most importantly, in tailed beast form, they could heal from any injury. This ability, however, placed a significant strain on their bodies.
However, facing the rumored Blood-Colored Asura, Mokkaku had no other choice. He shoved the Nine-Tails' flesh into Kinkaku's mouth.
The moment it touched his tongue, perhaps sensing the pre-existing tailed beast chakra within Kinkaku, a powerful surge of chakra erupted from Kinkaku's mouth. His eyes snapped open, and his crushed chest began to heal visibly. A torrent of ferocious tailed beast chakra erupted. Sharp fangs, blade-like fingers, peeling skin, and seeping blood merged with the forming tailed beast coat. A nauseating stench of blood filled the air.
ROAR!
A simultaneous roar erupted from Kinkaku and Ginkaku. The immense chakra and savage intent of their tailed beast transformations fueled their rage. Without hesitation, they launched themselves at Kai.
Their speed was incredible; the tens of meters between them were covered instantly. Their crimson claws swiped at Kai.
"Watch out!" Samui cried, but saw Kai's Nine Tomoe Mangekyō Sharingan spin. The ominous power manifested as two giant ribs, blocking Kai.
BANG!
The claws slammed into the illusory ribs. The immense force created a whirlwind, and the ground cracked under the impact. Yet, Kai, protected by the ribs, remained unfazed, smiling calmly.
"Is this all you've got? No wonder that old man ran off," he said.
His words sent a jolt through everyone. They looked for Mokkaku, but he was gone. His earlier actions were clearly a delaying tactic for his escape.
Kinkaku and Ginkaku's minds faltered momentarily before being consumed by the tailed beast's rage. Another claw swiped at Kai.
"Their consciousness is completely consumed. Disappointing, compared to Kinkaku and Ginkaku," Kai sighed, the rotation of the tomoe in his eyes accelerating.
A torrent of power erupted as a Susanoo, tens of meters tall, materialized. The claws slammed against its armor. A metallic clang echoed, causing only a slight tremor in the crimson eyes, leaving the armor unscathed. The immense defense was breathtaking.
"My turn!"
Kai's eyes widened slightly as he spoke. The massive Susanoo moved. Its massive hand, without any fancy moves, slammed down on Kinkaku and Ginkaku. A powerful gust of wind swept across the land.
ROAR!
Kinkaku and Ginkaku roared, their four chakra-formed tails lashing out at the Susanoo's hand.
BOOM!
A thunderous collision. The four tails, despite their number, shattered like paper under the Susano'o's hand. The massive hand continued its sweep, striking Kinkaku and Ginkaku.
BANG!
The two figures were sent flying like cannonballs, crashing into a mountain a kilometer away. The impact shattered the mountain peaks. Yet, their broken limbs and bodies rapidly regenerated. They were practically indestructible, leaving Samui and the others speechless.
"This… this is the power of a tailed beast?" Samui looked at Uchiha Kai. But the terrifying regenerative ability and explosive chakra power left her awestruck.
