The events had unfolded too quickly. From Shibuki opening the secret chamber to the present moment, a seemingly complex series of events had transpired in mere seconds. He had spoken too much!
"Boss, get down on your knees and release that Uchiha brat," Mizunami said abruptly.
His unexpected words startled Suien.
But what followed sent a chill down his spine.
"He… he's the Konoha renegade, the Blood-Colored Asura, Uchiha Kai!"
"Two Uchiha Kais?"
Suien's expression changed drastically. Even a fool could see it now: a beautiful misunderstanding!
No! Looking at the young man calmly gripping his wrist, the misunderstanding was far from beautiful; it was deadly.
But Suien was committed.
He glared at the calmly smiling youth and roared, "I don't care if you're blood-colored, white, or gold! I, Suien, am Takigakure's strongest! After consuming the Hero Water, even the Kage of the Five Great Nations are no match for me!"
With those words, Suien, his right wrist held by Kai, raised his left hand, chakra armor enveloping it as he aimed a devastating blow at Kai's neck.
The attack was lightning-fast, tearing through the air with a series of low sonic booms.
In an instant, the blow landed.
Kai, however, remained calmly smiling, appearing almost stunned, a stark contrast to the shock on Rin and Obito's faces and Suien's triumphant expression.
Bang!
A dull, thunderous collision echoed.
The water blade, formed from swirling water, sliced through Kai's cloak, landing on the crimson Susanoo armor.
The seemingly powerful water blade shattered instantly, dissolving into mist.
As the massive Susanoo, formed from rapidly moving chakra, enveloped Kai, its crimson eyes locked onto Suien. A collective gulp echoed through the chamber.
They finally understood why Uchiha Kai was called the Blood-Colored Asura. This monstrous being was the perfect explanation.
"Alright, I've given you your chance to shine. Now tell me why you called for me," Kai said with a warm smile.
This seemingly neighborly demeanor felt like a death knell to Suien.
Seeing the massive, ten-meter-tall Susanoo surrounding Kai, Suien's expression changed.
He grabbed the gourd containing the Hero Water and drank deeply.
"Stop him! The more Hero Water he drinks, the stronger he'll become!" Shibuki urged urgently.
Kai remained motionless, watching with amusement as Suien emptied most of the gourd.
Suien's eyes widened, then his temples bulged.
A surge of chakra erupted from him, transforming his pale blue chakra armor into a deep blue. The excess chakra burst from his body, reaching towards the sky.
"Power! This is power! Do you see? This is the strongest power in the shinobi world! I am Takigakure's strongest, the strongest in the world!" Suien laughed maniacally, fueled by his newfound power.
His confidence swelled as he turned to Kai. "Are you afraid? Why don't you attack?"
"Afraid?" Kai smiled and shook his head. "In my knowledge, Takigakure's strongest is my subordinate, Kakuzu."
"As for why I haven't attacked? To drive someone to despair, you must first let them taste madness."
From the shadows, Kakuzu emerged. "Boss, is he mad enough?"
The sudden appearance of Kakuzu sent a wave of tension through everyone, especially the Takigakure ninjas. They knew what his presence signified.
The very thought that Kakuzu, the Earth Grudge Fear who had nearly destroyed Takigakure, was now someone's subordinate was almost unbelievable.
"Almost," Kai said thoughtfully, his eyes lingering on Suien.
Almost? Shibuki and the Takigakure ninjas were stunned. Even Akahoshi, the acting Kage of Hoshigakure, was taken aback. Suien's chakra was at least forty or fifty times stronger than normal.
Even Akahoshi felt uneasy.
Yet, Kai said he was almost there.
"Akahoshi, help me!" Suien roared.
"Oh, again?" Kai released Suien's wrist, turning to Akahoshi with amusement.
"Don't waste time, both of you come at once."
Akahoshi hesitated.
He had been unaware of Kai's identity, but now, witnessing his terrifying power, he felt apprehensive.
Suien's face paled. "Akahoshi, we're in this together! Don't forget, you're the acting Kage, Hoshigakure's strongest! Your strength rivals the Kage. If we work together, with the Hero Water, defeating him won't be a problem!"
Akahoshi hesitated, but Suien's words held merit. He also wanted to see the power of his Mysterious Peacock Method enhanced by the Hero Water.
"Good. I'll use this Blood-Colored Asura as a stepping stone to becoming the strongest in the shinobi world!" Akahoshi declared.
"Victory to the Kage! Akahoshi-sama is invincible!"
"Akahoshi-sama, the Mysterious Peacock Method is unmatched!" The Hoshigakure ninjas shouted.
Regardless of Kai's strength, they were all in the same boat.
Their only chance was to kill him.
"Good. Akahoshi, you'll see; this is the most crucial step to our domination of the shinobi world!" Suien grinned, drinking half the remaining Hero Water before tossing the gourd to Akahoshi.
They exchanged a look, then let out a ferocious roar.
