Chōmei's mention of them caused many to look at Uchiha Kai with renewed interest.
The Uchiha legend, and its connection to Kai, stirred something deep within them.
"You mean Madara? I just killed him not long ago!" Kai said, wiping his nose with a sigh. "I don't look like that short-lived guy, do I?"
What? Chōmei's compound eyes widened in disbelief.
No! In fact, everyone was stunned.
The Uchiha legend was a benchmark for the shinobi world, an honor for the Uchiha clan.
Yet, Kai spoke of him so casually, as if killing him was a trivial matter.
However, regardless of the truth of Kai's words, the techniques he displayed were on par with Madara's.
"Good, good, a sharp-tongued brat. I don't care if you killed Madara or not. Now that I'm free, you're all going to die!" Chōmei roared, its piercing cry echoing like a sonic wave, knocking back the weaker Takigakure ninjas.
"Is this the power of a tailed beast?" Kakashi looked up at the enormous creature. If it weren't for Kai's Susanoo deflecting most of the attack, they would have been in serious trouble.
"Is this… the power of a tailed beast?" Rin whispered, awestruck.
Having half-Senju blood, she had a certain affinity for tailed beasts, which is why Kirigakure had targeted her to seal the Three-Tails into her. This success rate was only possible with Senju blood.
"No, this is just a fraction of its power. A tailed beast is a village's most powerful weapon, but fighting here will destroy the village," Kai said, a playful smile on his face as he looked at Chōmei.
The three tailed beasts present remained unusually silent, seemingly hoping Kai would handle things first.
Kai even wondered if Chōmei had the worst social skills among the nine tailed beasts to be so easily tricked.
Unlike Chōmei, Shibuki was distraught. Previous tailed beast rampages had occurred at the sealing location in the lake outside the village, minimizing damage.
Because of Itachi, Chōmei was now in the village.

With Kai also present, the entire village might be wiped off the map.
Shibuki knelt, his face etched with despair. "Master, you want the Seven-Tails, right? Please minimize the damage. Takigakure will be eternally grateful…"

The scene devolved into another mass prostration.
If word got out that Takigakure, second only to the Five Great Nations, was begging someone to take their tailed beast, it would shock the world.
Itachi's face paled.
He hadn't anticipated that his attempt to prove himself would bring such devastation upon Takigakure.
Seeing Chōmei's impending rampage, he knew only Kai could handle it.
"Hahaha, relax.
You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Since the Seven-Tails is mine, I won't let it cause trouble," Kai said, patting Itachi on the shoulder. He turned to Obito, who still seemed confused. "Didn't you say I gave you something?"
"Consider this interest. I gave you a head start, sealing a fraction of your Mangekyō Sharingan's Kamui into my Mangekyō Sharingan!"
Mangekyō? Obito was stunned, using his forehead protector as a mirror.
"Obito, your eyes have changed! It's a Mangekyō Sharingan!" Rin exclaimed.
Kakashi was equally surprised, his face showing envy.
While Obito's eyes were different from Kai's, he understood what Kai meant by a "head start." Uchiha with Sharingan were already top-tier shinobi.
The Mangekyō Sharingan was like a cheat code.
Even Kakashi, considered a genius, wouldn't confidently claim superiority over Obito.
"I… I have my own dōjutsu?" Obito touched his eyes, his voice filled with excitement. "Can I be as strong as Kai-nii-san?!"
Kai rolled his eyes at Obito's over-the-top excitement. "Alright, stop dawdling. I'll hypnotize you to follow my instructions!"
Stealing someone else's dōjutsu was something Kai had theorized. In the Uchiha clan's restricted area, he had obtained Madara's enhanced eyes through the Inheritance Stone.
For others, mastering and controlling it was difficult, let alone stealing it. But Kai had a "one-button max level" system; with a sliver of opportunity, he could master Kamui.
He might even develop his own space-time ninjutsu.
Then, the Flying Thunder God Technique would be useless to him.
"What do I do?" Obito asked, snapping out of his excitement.
But as their eyes met, Obito was instantly hypnotized. It felt like a simple glance had triggered a powerful suggestion.

Kai shouted, his nine-tomoe Mangekyō Sharingan spinning wildly. Obito's star-shaped Mangekyō Sharingan also spun.
Immense power surged from his eyes, shooting towards the sky before rushing towards Kai.

A star-shaped Mangekyō pattern appeared on Kai's nine-tomoe Sharingan.
With a thought, Kai could unleash Obito's unique space-time ninjutsu, Kamui.
