Nyx thought Ellis was joking at first, until he tried to break free a few times and realized that both the space jump and the shadow escape were blocked by the invisible barrier, and his face finally changed.
"Ellis?"His voice took on a hint of danger, trailing off slightly, "You're not really planning on locking me up, are you?"
Ellis looked at him expressionlessly, his tone cold, "Until you learn to control yourself, you're not going anywhere."
Nyx narrowed his eyes, trying to control himself from raging, "What do you mean by that?"
Ellis looked at him calmly, his voice indifferent but undeniable, "You're already starting to lose control, Nyx.Keep it up and you'll destroy yourself."
Nyx laughed a little, a smile with a hint of mockery, "Oh?And then you're going to keep me in check with this domesticated animal?"
Ellis didn't respond, just gave him a faint look and turned to leave.
Nyx heard the lock on the door fall, and he froze for a moment, then jerked to his feet, walked over to the door, and reached out to push - the magical barrier didn't budge.Ellis had really locked him up.
All day, Nyx had been trapped in his quarters, with Ellis giving him no further explanation or any chance to get out.He tried slamming the door, cracking it with magic, and even tried destroying the place outright with the power of the Abyss, but Ellis' blockade didn't budge.
The next day, Ellis brought the meal.
Nyx sat on the bed and looked at him in dismay, arms around his chest, his tone sarcastic, "Am I under house arrest?"
Ellis just put the food on the table, his tone flat, "Eat."
Nyx raised an eyebrow, not moving.
Ellis glanced at him and simply raised his hand, a gentle wave of magic and the shackles on Nyx instantly tightened a bit.
Nyx frowned furiously and raised his head, "What the hell do you want?"
Ellis looked at him lightly, his tone still cold, "If you're not willing to learn to control yourself, I'll do it for you."
"Starting today, I will organize your daily routine.What time you wake up, what time you eat, what time you study magic, and what time you sleep, it's all up to me. If you're not convinced, break the blockade."Ellis leaned down slightly, his cold golden eyes staring at Nyx, "Either submit, or prove that you are capable of controlling yourself."
Nyx stared at him, the smile at the corner of his mouth narrowing a little as he lowered his head.For the first time, he realized that Ellis was for real.When he looked up again, there was undisguised sarcasm and anger in his eyes, "Ellis, I'm not the dog you keep."
He didn't seal Nyx's magic, but he was telling Nyx in another way, if you don't know how to control your power, you'll have to be controlled by me.
Nyx gritted his teeth and stared at Ellis with grim eyes before finally compromising by reaching for the cutlery.
"Fine."Nyx snorted and lowered his head to take a bite of his food, saying in a smirking tone, "Let's see if you can't take it first, or if I 'learn to control myself' first."
Ellis didn't let Nyx escape the consequences easily this time.
He directly locked Nyx into the study of his mentor's dormitory.Magic seals firmly restricted the space, the windows could not be opened, and layers of knots were set up outside the door, so that Nyx could not think of escaping with magic.Complete house arrest.
Nyx found it refreshing at first, and didn't even think anything of it.He felt that Ellis was just gambling with him, and that it wouldn't be long before he lost his temper and let him out.But the reality was that Ellis was even more ruthless than he thought.
Two days had passed and he couldn't do anything, even his meals were delivered by Ellis on time, put them on the table and left without even casting a glance at him.
"Tsk."Nyx lay on the table in boredom, poking at the heavy magic books on the shelves for the hundredth time, "Isn't this more ruthless than beating me?"
