Chapter 76 - The last chill

It's after a training session and everyone is the locker room. Felix is just deep in his thoughts, until someone comes and disturbs him.

It was Nikolai (The center back who Che and Leon played against in their u19s trial game. The one who acknowledged Leon's skill.)

''What's up.'' Nikolai greets.

''Hey...''

''What's wrong with you?''

''I'm just... nothing.''

''Okay, by the way I heard that you were leaving us this summer.''

''Yeah, I was just thinking about that. You know, I'm gonna miss this place. I've grown into the player I am and now I'm leaving.''

''Yeah, but it's what's best for you is right?'' He grins. ''You know... the coach said I'll have to stick around the second team for longer. I guess I didn't impress him enough, so I asked my agent to ask if I can get a loan somewhere you know.''

''Really?''

''Yeah, you know sometimes things won't work for around here, but you always have to consider what's best for you. I'm telling you this because I never want you to regret what's best for your career.'' He smiles at Felix while holding his neck.

The two of them smile at each other. ''Thank you.''

''By the way. What are you doing here at this time, aren't you guys training a little later?''

''The head coach wanted to talk to me about the loan. And also, the coach asked me to talk to you because you looked sad.''

''I wasn't sad.''

''Yeah, you just looked sad, dumbass.''

Felix chuckles as Nikolai leaves the room, he sits there on his own in the changing room with the towel over his head.

''No regrets huh.'' He whispers after scoffing.

Felix leaves the locker room and goes towards the medic room for a checkup. The three of them meet each other at the medic room, with Che being attended to by the physiotherapist and Leon getting a checkup.

''Yo Felix!'' Leon shouts.

''Hey, what are you guys doing here?''

''Just getting a checkup. You too?''

''Yeah.''

''I heard you guys won against Dortmund. That's actually super cool that you guys managed to win without me.''

''What?! We would've totally won without you!'' Che shouts.

Felix laughs. ''Doesn't matter anyways, you guys will miss me in the final.''

''Nah, as long as they have me, they'll be fine. I'm the one who brings flair to the game.'' Leon spreads his arms wide.

''Please sit quietly.'' The asks politely.

''My bad... Anyways I'll bring the light to this team.''

Che snickers. ''Like you were help against Dortmund?''

''Hey!! That was a one-time thing, something that'll never happen again. And even if it does, I'll get better and overcome it. Like I always do.''

''Whatever you say.'' Che teases.

''So, you're saying someone locked down Leo?''

''Yeah, it was their right back. The guy is super good. He made Leon so sad.''

Felix laughs at him. ''What about Che? What did he do.''

''I did okay...'' Che's voice dims down.

Leon stays silent and looks at the floor, he thinks about how brilliant Che was during the weekend. He doesn't want to admit it, but after that game Che has become better than him.

''I only watched some highlights, so I only saw the goal and the assist. That goal was insane, better than any goal I've scored so far.'' Felix laughs.

''Thank you... I'll score better ones too.''

''I love it.'' Felix smiles.

''Hey, do you guys want to have lunch together later?''

''No, I can't. I already have plans.''

''You?! Plans? With whom?''

''With a friend.''

''A friend?!'' Both Leon and Felix say at the same time.

''Yeah, a friend.''

Leon gives a cheeky smile. ''It's a girl, isn't it?''

''It's none of your business. Both of you.''

The two of them start laughing at Che. Che embarrassingly hides his face under the pillow.

''You guys don't know what you're talking about.''

''Haha, you're right Leo it's definitely a girl!''

''Haha!''

''Shut up you don't what you're talking about!''
