Daniel, Che and Eva are all sitting in the living room.
''So... what did you want to talk about? Is somthing wrong with Lana?''
''No, Lana is fine. She'll be back home in a few weeks.''
''Okay then what are you doing here Dani?''
''I actually came here to talk about Guito. Remember when I told you that I want to talk to Che.''
''Yeah, I'm glad that you actually did, he seemed better this morning.'' She rubs her hand behind Che's back giving him a warm smile.
''I actually wanted to talk to you about it too, since you're his mother.''
''Okay...''
''So, I asked him if I could represent him. To be his agent... And he obviously agreed.''
She nods with a smile. ''That's good. Now you're both of their agents?''
''Yeah, those aren't the only good news, a few weeks ago I personally asked one of Bayern Munich's scouts to look into Che as a favor. And he did, yesterday he gave me a call and said that Bayern have interest in him. They've asked to arrange a meeting with us next week.''
''Okay so what does this mean?''
''Che could sign for Bayern.''
''So, you're saying that he could go stay in Munich too?'' Her tone and facial expression changes, and looks at Daniel with a serious face.
''Y- yeah... if we sign him and Stuttgart agree.''
''No.''
''What why?!'' Che interrupts.
''Why do you have to go to Munich? What's wrong with him staying here?''
''But ma! Bayern are a better club, they'll make me a better player.''
''No! I can't do it.''
''Eva... why? This is clearly good for him. It's clearly good for him and he wants to go.''
''Lana is already there, why does he also have to go?''
''Ma?!''
''No! I'm not letting my boy go there!'' She stands up overpowering them both. ''Why would you bring something like this to me?! You didn't even tell me about this and you two have already decided on your own!'' She looks at Daniel pointing her finger at him.
''I- I thought it would be good for him.''
''But what about me?! He's my son!''
''Mom, I don't get it. Why won't you let me go?''
''You're not going!''
''This is so unfair!'' Che runs to his room and hits the door as he closes it.
She looks at Daniel again. ''Listen here, I give you the right to look after my kids because I don't know much about this. But that doesn't give you the right take them away from.''
''I- I'm sorry Eva, I just thought it'd be good for him.''
''If you think taking my son away from is a good for him, then I trusted the wrong person to be his agent.''
She walks out the house and leaves Daniel there sitting on his own. Daniel sits there confused at what just happened. He drinks the juice that was poured for him.
Eva gets herself on a train and she looks out the window and she finds herself crying. An old woman approaches her and offers her a tissue. She takes it with a smile and wipes off her face. The woman takes a seat next to her.
''Is everything okay darling?''
''No.''
''Come on tell me what's wrong.''
She chuckles. ''It's my son...''
''Oh, what our children do to us. Is he in jail?''
She chuckles again. ''No never. It's just that he wants to leave me and go stay in some boarding school in Munich, because of football. And I don't know... I'm just not ready to let him go.'' She starts tearing up again.
''You know, raising teenagers is hard and they always think they know what's best for him. They never want to listen to the parent.''
''To be honest, it probably is what's best for him... but Che is so tiny and small and fragile. He's youngest baby, he'll always be my youngest baby. And letting him go to Munich, in such a big place. Without me... Ohhh I can't bring myself to think about it. And if I let him go, he'll be happy, but I won't, but if I don't what if he hates me.''
The woman nods while smiling. ''Welcome to parenthood. Where every decision you make will be a sacrifice honey.''
''So you think I should let him go.''
''I don't know, you're his mother. You know him better than I do.''
The train finally makes a stop.
''This is my stop.'' Eva points.
She gets off the train and waves the old woman goodbye smiling at her. She takes a walk through the city until she finally arrives in the Rehabilitation Centre.
As she walks in, she signs her name in and finally goes towards the room she wants to go to. As she walks in the door there's a man sitting is on a wheelchair looking out the window.
He hears her walk in and turns his wheelchair around.
''Eva, ¡Qué gusto verte otra vez. ("So good to see you again)'' The man greets her with a smile and open arms.
(The conversation between these two is in Paraguayan Spanish or Guaraní but I'll translate it to English.)
''What's wrong? Were you crying?'' He rolls the chair closer concerned.
''Yeah... I just wanted to see you.''
''Come on now, did you really miss me that much?'' He chuckles.
''No. I just needed to go somewhere to relaxing that's all.''
''What's wrong?''
''It's Che...'' She says as she takes a seat on his bed as she looks at him depressed.
