The sky stretched out in brilliant azure above them, while the sea below sparkled with crystal clarity.
Jacob had returned to Aqualis City once again, but this time, the person accompanying him had changed—Raya now stood by his side.
The two of them stood together in front of the pier, and to avoid attracting unwanted attention, they had deliberately taken measures to conceal their identities, making sure they wouldn't be easily recognized.
This precaution was necessary because ever since the He family had reported the "Secret Realm" matter to the Pokémon Association, the Association had dispatched several waves of investigators to Aqualis City to search for the Secret Realm. However, all of them had returned empty-handed without any success.
Despite these failures, the Pokémon Association had not abandoned their investigation. They still maintained a significant presence in Aqualis City, leaving numerous personnel behind to continue searching for the Secret Realm.
Therefore, to avoid being identified by Pokémon Association members and causing unnecessary complications or conflicts, the two had deliberately disguised themselves and concealed their true identities.
Jacob and Raya had changed into casual short-sleeved shirts and shorts, layered sun-protective clothing over them, and wore both face masks and sunglasses. They were fully equipped to prevent recognition.
This situation made Jacob feel somewhat regretful. If only he could see Raya in a swimsuit instead—with her attractive figure, what would she look like in swimwear?
Just entertaining that thought made Jacob feel his nose growing warm, and he sensed a warm trickle beginning to flow from his nostrils.
"Jacob, what's wrong?" Raya asked with concern, noticing the nosebleed.
"Cough, cough, it's nothing," Jacob quickly wiped it away with his hand and said hastily, "Really, it's nothing. I've probably just been getting overheated these past few days."
Raya frowned at Jacob's crude method of handling the situation. She reached into her bag, pulled out a wet wipe, and handed it to him. "You're a grown man, and you're still wiping blood with your bare hand? Here, use this to clean your hands."
"Thank you," Jacob said gratefully.
"Have you brought warm clothing?" After wiping his hands clean, Jacob asked Raya.
"Yes, I brought several complete sets," Raya replied. She had prepared thoroughly for this expedition.
"Then let's depart."
Hearing their signal, Zion immediately started the boat's engine and began heading out to sea.
Riding through the wind and waves, the large yacht sped smoothly across the ocean's surface, heading directly toward their destination.
Half an hour passed.
Seeing that they were drawing closer to their destination, Jacob called out to Zion.
"Slow down. We're almost there."
Upon hearing Jacob's instruction, Zion maneuvered the yacht to reduce speed, sailing slowly toward the Secret Realm Gap at an extremely reduced pace.
Finally, after sailing for several more minutes, thick fog began to materialize and spread across the sky. The temperature started dropping sharply.
At the same time, Jacob discovered that one of the Wishing Stars in his backpack had disappeared.
Each entry into the Secret Realm Gap required one Wishing Star as a toll, which meant that to unlock all the seals completely, he would need at least eighteen of them.
He could only take advantage of the fact that Wishing Stars remained relatively unknown to others and intensify his collection efforts before word spread.
The fog grew increasingly thick, and snowflakes began drifting down from the sky.
Seeing this familiar phenomenon, Jacob's expression became serious. He addressed the people beside him with a warning tone.
"We've entered the Secret Realm Gap. Everyone be careful and change into your warm clothing immediately."
In truth, Jacob didn't need to say anything—Zion and Raya had already felt the biting cold penetrating through their light clothing and had begun putting on their thicker garments.
"It's so cold," Raya said, watching the falling snowflakes with a solemn expression. "A Pokémon capable of creating such an extreme weather phenomenon must be at least Champion-level in strength."
Zion's face was equally grave. The bone-chilling cold and the ability to manipulate weather on this scale filled his heart with deep concern.
Could the three of them really handle a threat of this magnitude?
"Miss, please be careful," Zion reminded her protectively.
Jacob noticed their worried expressions and decided to reveal some inside information to help ease their concerns.
"Heavenly…" Jacob initially wanted to continue using the formal address "Heavenly King Raya" for Raya, but he decided to change it at the last moment. "Raya."
"Mm…" Raya's face flushed slightly upon hearing Jacob use her given name so directly, but she still responded softly in acknowledgment.
She didn't understand why Jacob had chosen to call her "Raya" at this particular moment. She turned to look at him, confusion evident in her eyes.
"Actually, I've never been particularly interested in joining God's Coffin," Jacob said suddenly.
Jacob's seemingly random statement filled Raya's eyes with even more confusion.
Why had he suddenly brought up God's Coffin?
"That's because I've always felt that joining someone else's organization could never be as satisfying as establishing and leading my own," Jacob continued speaking, almost as if talking to himself. Perhaps it was his unique relationship with Raya that made him willing to reveal his truest thoughts and ambitions to her.
"I actually had this idea a long time ago," Jacob went on. "I want to establish my own organization—an organization that will become even stronger than God's Coffin. I've already thought of a name for it: the Dynamax Legion."
The Dynamax Legion was the name Jacob had conceived. Since each of the eighteen sealed points contained a permanently solidified Dynamax Pokémon, he could theoretically capture all eighteen of these Pokémon and forge them into a unified force—a true Dynamax Legion.
The strength of permanently solidified Dynamax Pokémon might not necessarily be inferior to ordinary Legendary Pokémon.
Especially a Pokémon like Gigantamax Lapras—once it activated Aurora Veil, who could possibly break through its defenses?
Dynamax Legion?
Both Raya and Zion, who stood beside her, showed immense confusion in their eyes. What kind of organization was this Dynamax Legion supposed to be?
Meanwhile, the snowfall intensified, the fog grew even thicker, and the cold became more biting by the second. The fierce wind and snow felt like icy steel blades scraping across their exposed faces, causing genuine pain.
Jacob understood that the harsher the environmental conditions became, the closer they were getting to Gigantamax Lapras's location.
He also noticed the doubt and confusion lingering in their eyes. He smiled slightly and said to Raya, "You must be very surprised and wondering what exactly this Dynamax Legion is, right?"
"This is connected to a new experimental research project of mine."
"I call the phenomenon Dynamax . The Dynamax transformation requires Dynamax energy to support it, and this Dynamax energy originates from a Legendary Pokémon called Eternatus."
Eternatus?
Raya and Zion exchanged bewildered glances. Neither of them had ever heard such a name before.
"Eternatus serves as the core energy source for all Dynamax energy. It is also one of the most powerful Legendary Pokémon in existence, second only to Arceus itself. Although there are no records of Eternatus in current reference books or databases, fragmented mentions of Eternatus can be found scattered throughout certain ancient texts and historical documents."
"However, Eternatus has been sealed away for countless years. To access and utilize the energy of Dynamax again, the energy seal binding Eternatus must be broken."
"Only by breaking through Eternatus's seal can Pokémon undergo Dynamax transformation, allowing them to grow to dozens of times—or even over a hundred times—their original size."
Listening to Jacob's extraordinary description, Zion frowned skeptically. He clearly found it difficult to believe that a Pokémon could actually grow dozens or even hundreds of times larger than its normal size. Such a transformation would be absolutely terrifying to witness.
"However, that's just standard dynamax," Jacob continued.
"Gigantamax is an even more powerful phenomenon than regular Dynamax. It doesn't just increase the Pokémon's size dramatically—it also causes significant changes to their physical appearance and substantially amplifies their battle capabilities."
"The Secret Realm Gap we're currently traveling through is one of eighteen sealed points located around the entire globe."
"This particular Secret Realm Gap is called Aurora Melody. The Pokémon standing guard over this location is Gigantamax Lapras, which is also my primary objective for this expedition."
Raya and Zion fell into stunned silence. The information Jacob had just shared with them contained an absolutely enormous amount of revelations, causing such a massive impact on their established worldview that their minds seemed to be processing slowly, unable to fully comprehend everything at once.
Eternatus?
Dynamax?
Gigantamax?
Aurora Melody?
Eighteen sealed points distributed worldwide?
What was all of this supposed to mean?
"I understand you probably can't fully process all of this information in such a short time," Jacob acknowledged with understanding. "But once you see Gigantamax Lapras with your own eyes, you'll immediately understand exactly what I mean by all of this."
