Tint, Annika and I were escorted back to the pack house by the guards while Alec chose to go with the warriors. When Annika had tried to stop him, he brushed her away saying that Xander would have done the same for him. Perhaps if Xander hadn't known what he did now, I would have agreed with that statement.
The last time I was in the same room with my sister, she had stabbed me multiple times without flinching. Now, watching her pace around as she worries for her mate makes me wonder if she ever felt any remorse for what she did to me. In the past, I always thought no matter how much her and my step mother ill-treated me, somewhere in their heart they still cared for me.
What a fool I had been! Pushing back the memories, I turned away from her, looking out of the window instead.
