The news of Andrew sucided divided his court with mixed emotions but Xander didn't care. While the council shared their opinions on the ongoing issue with Keystone Pack, he was aware of the silent murmuring that's going on amongst them.
His mind was preoccupied by what happened at the training room with Iris, the way she had screamed, the way her small body had quivered in his arms when he held her. He had been scared out of his fucking mind, causing him to believe he had pushed her too far.
Recalling the accident made him uncomfortable and he squirmed in his chair, struggling to focus on what his council members were blahing on about. However, he lost the train of his thoughts as he became aware of everyone staring at him, as if expecting something to happen.
"Alpha told me earlier that he will need time to deliberate over your suggestions and he is not stopping you from mourning the loss of your colleagues." Tint came to his rescue.
