Chapter 131: Welt: A Honkai Beast is Chasing Me
Creation's Finalé. It was an attack truly worthy of its name, capable of both creating and destroying a world. If that dazzling amber crystal were to strike the ground, the resulting destruction and chain reactions would far surpass the meteor impact that wiped out the dinosaurs 6500 million years ago on Earth.
This attack was impossible to dodge.
Not because they lacked the ability to flee. Super Granzort had high-speed movement skills, and they could definitely escape if they ran with all their might. But if they did, Creation's Finalé would strike the ground directly, and below them...
The other Seele and Bronya were still down there. In the Fragmentum area, Gepard was leading the Silvermane Guards in battle against the monsters. And countless people in Belobog were looking up at the sky, filled with hope, waiting for tomorrow's sun to rise as usual.
Stelle had had a lot of fun on this trailblazing journey. She had formed a band with everyone and her new friends in the Overworld and had opened trash cans with Caelus. In the Underworld, she had become a candy person, making energy sweets and becoming a hero. And there were even more lovable trash cans.
Stelle had always treated her trailblazing journey on Jarilo-VI as a fun-filled adventure. But she had also witnessed many moving stories, had witnessed the tenacity of this planet, this city, and these people who had struggled to survive in the wind and snow for seven hundred years. After experiencing so much hardship, they were finally about to welcome the dawn. How could they...
"How could I let a guy like you destroy it all!"
With that cry, Stelle and Caelus gripped the Kaiser Blade together and charged forward without a second thought. If they couldn't stop it, the tens of thousands of lives on Jarilo-VI would be extinguished.
As their minds resonated, the power of Caelus and Stelle merged into one. The power of the Stellaron and the Madou Power of Fire surged madly into the Kaiser Blade. The two torrents of energy became one, evolving into an even more majestic flame!
Stretching, and stretching again, the violent solar flame slammed into Creation's Finalé as it tore through the clouds.
BOOM!
Just like Stelle's online handle: Face-Tanking Ults.
Caelus and Stelle successfully shattered the dazzling amber crystal. And to protect the people below, they controlled Super Granzort to block the vast majority of the Imaginary torrent that rained down on the ground after the explosion. The terrifying power nearly sent Super Granzort directly into a dormant state, completely robbing it of its ability to move.
As a magical mecha, the pilot's power could amplify the Madou King, but the damage to the mecha would also be fed back to the pilot. Caelus and Stelle were critically injured. They could only watch helplessly as the Lance of Winter pierced through Super Granzort's chest. Then, their vision was consumed by darkness.
However, there was no pain. Stelle didn't even have the sensation of receiving a fatal wound. In the instant she was impaled by the ice lance, her mind bizarrely wondered if the impact would make her chest a cup size smaller. She vaguely recalled a memory from the Herta Space Station. It was blurry, but it seemed that when Kafka injected the Stellaron, her chest had been compressed a grade or two, resulting in its current size.
"Don't worry. Even if they get smaller, I can help you rub them bigger."
A familiar voice and a warm, groping sensation came from her ear and her chest at the same time. Stelle's eyes snapped open. "Huh? Caelus! Don't you dare grope me at a time like this!"
Staring at the vast, universe-like scene before her, Stelle blinked her beautiful, drowsy golden eyes. "What's going on?"
Although the soft, springy sensation in his hand was very comfortable, Stelle still slapped away the hand that was groping inside her white t-shirt. She had heard online that frequent massaging could make them bigger. It wouldn't be out of the question to let Caelus have a go later when they had time.
"Caelus, don't tell me we died after tanking Cocolia's ultimate move? Is this... the afterlife?"
"Quick, let's find the green-haired Griseo King! Or the long black-haired beauty from hell!" Stelle looked around excitedly. "Wait a minute! Why does this place feel so familiar?" The Stellaron girl had found a blind spot, thoughtfully holding her delicate chin. "The last time I was here, that super-strong-looking guy gave me a look. I wonder if Nanook is still around... Caelus, come on, let's go find him! Let's beat him up!"
Stelle, like a mafia boss, beckoned her little brother to go get revenge. They had already died once, what's the worst that could happen, die again?
"Wake up. We haven't even passed the first level, and you're already thinking about fighting the final boss?" Caelus poked Stelle's soft cheek with a finger. "Isn't it better to get some equipment and power up before fighting the boss?"
"Equipment... what's that?"
Tilting her head in confusion, Stelle noticed something flashing in the very center of this space. A light? A treasure chest!?
Her heart skipped a beat, and Stelle instantly bolted towards the flashing light, deep into the cosmic space. Along the way, many phantoms of Cocolia appeared, and the figure of a little girl stood before the light. But Stelle had no interest in them. What was all this nonsense? Nothing was more important than a treasure chest!
As she ran, her pace slowed. She looked back suspiciously at her other half, who was walking at a leisurely pace. "Caelus, have you turned over a new leaf and become a new person?" He wasn't even fighting her for it?
"Considering you spent more on the Super Madou Kings, you can have this treasure chest," Caelus said magnanimously, waving his hand. He had a feeling that there was something off about that chest.
"Hehe, so you do have a conscience after all. Mwah~!" Hearing that she could have the treasure chest all to herself, Stelle beamed with joy and jumped over to plant a firm kiss on Caelus's cheek as a sign of her approval.
Then, she excitedly rushed towards the brightly shining chest and tried to open it. "Huh, why won't it open?"
At that moment, the little girl phantom standing next to the chest spoke. "This city is crying... The power of [Preservation] is fading."
"In the very, very end... we still cannot resist the will of the [Stellaron]."
The little girl was the will of the Supreme Guardians over the past seven hundred years. She began to tell the story of the last seven hundred years, but Stelle completely ignored her, using all her might to open the chest, to no avail.
Watching Stelle grit her teeth and strain against the empty air in front of the lance, the Guardian's will was momentarily baffled. What the hell? Is there something wrong with this savior's brain?
"Caelus, come help me!"
"Tch." Caelus glanced at the little girl and went to help Stelle open the chest.
Guardian's will: "..."
She was silent for a long time, then finally sighed helplessly and waved her hand. "Then go and touch the light of the amber. Let's see if the will of [Preservation] in your heart is strong enough."
As her words fell, the chest, which had been impossible to open, suddenly opened.
"Hehe~ Crystals, my crystals!" Drooling, Stelle ignored the lance and picked up the crystals in the chest.
The Supreme Guardian's will's expression became extremely wooden as she watched the gray-haired girl ignore the lance and laugh foolishly at the empty air. "Haha, what a haul, what a haul!" Stelle couldn't stop grinning. A total of 30!
Caelus's attention was on the lance. "So this is how it's obtained." Through fan works and certain videos, Caelus knew that the Trailblazer had a Lance of Embers, but he didn't know how it was acquired.
Caelus gripped the Lance of Embers and pulled it out, but he didn't sense the power of the Path of Preservation. He gave the lance a twirl and threw it to Stelle. "This is for you."
"What?" Stelle caught it subconsciously. The moment her palm touched the Lance of Embers, the amber light of a Path, ignoring the barrier of time and space, shone down from the higher universe. Stelle saw a familiar figure—a celestial giant shaped like amber.
"It's the old construction worker!"
If Qlipoth had eyebrows, they would probably be twitching right now. He glanced at the girl who had stepped onto the Path of Preservation, then withdrew his gaze and continued to build his wall.
Outside.
To Cocolia's stunned expression, Super Granzort, its chest pierced and its eyes completely dark, suddenly raised its head. Its crystal-like eyelids began to glow like molten lava. A blazing fire ignited from the white and red mecha's body and bloomed.
"It's just a fatal wound! We're back!"
A clear, bell-like voice rang out, making Dan Heng and March 7th, who had been watching with their hearts in their throats, breathe a sigh of relief. "That's great, they're okay!"
"How is this possible? How! This is... the will of the Preservation? Damn it!" Seeing the two of them unharmed after taking Creation's Finalé, Cocolia roared, almost insane, having completely lost her reason.
"The power should be about right this time." On the crimson-gold hexagram platform, Caelus held the Kaiser Blade in his right hand, and Stelle held the Lance of Embers in her left.
Skyfire.
Scorching flames ran along the Lance of Embers. Through their tightly clasped hands, the flames converged on the Super Kaiser Blade. "Unsheathe!"
The flames of a Madou King alone were still a far cry from Skyfire. After all, Granzort was the Madou King of the Earth; fire was only a secondary power. But now, with the solar flame plus the fire of Stelle's Amber Lance, after being amplified, its power would probably be no weaker than the real Skyfire.
A torrent of fire, like a stellar explosion, shot straight into the sky, completely engulfing the Mother of Deception. The flames tore open the storm and clouds high above.
"...Huh?" Welt, who had rushed over, happened to see the surging divine flames of purification and hear the familiar voice call out the familiar words. He was completely stunned. What's going on? Isn't that... that man?
"No, the Stellaron... the power of the Stellaron will rewrite everything!" The Mother of Deception's furious roar tore through the tide of flames. At this moment, she was desperately resisting the endless solar fire. Her splendid, flying long hair pierced into the void and merged with the Fragmentum, continuously drawing power from it.
After merging with the Stellaron, the vast Fragmentum created by the Stellaron also became a part of Cocolia's power—the Fragmentum corrosion that covered nearly half of Jarilo-VI. Without external intervention, it would only take a few years, a dozen at most, for the entire planet to meet its end. By resonating with the Fragmentum in her Mother of Deception form, Cocolia had originally intended to accelerate the Fragmentum's erosion of Jarilo-VI and extinguish the burning fire of [Preservation] in Belobog. But she never expected these offworlders to push her this far.
Now, Cocolia was doing the opposite of her plan, retracting the Fragmentum power that she had released to corrode the world. The Stellaron, also sensing the danger, entrusted all of its long-accumulated power to Cocolia.
An Imaginary energy even more terrifying than before began to gather, dyeing the sky a golden color. An unparalleled pressure descended upon the entire world.
"Looks like I'm not too late." A deep purple gravitational ripple spread across the sky and rapidly collapsed into a giant black hole, intending to swallow the star that would bring about the end.
Welt's voice reached everyone's ears. There was no time to worry about Skyfire now; they had to stop this move first. However, the pseudo black hole failed to interrupt Cocolia. The flow of Imaginary energy became chaotic, extending her charge time and acting as a restraint.
"Perfect timing!" Caelus and Stelle replied with a laugh, their golden eyes shining. "Dan Heng, March, it's time to move!"
"Okay! Watch me!" March 7th cheerfully brushed her pink hair from her forehead, gathered the Madou Power of Wind, and drew the double-stringed, double-bowed green longbow. "Ultimate Move—One Hundred Shots, One Hundred Hits... Super Schtrom Bow!"
Dan Heng also seized the opportunity, gathering the Madou Power of Water and assisting with his draconic power. "Kibukai-Purisu..." He chanted the magic words to activate his ultimate move. However, the martial-minded Dan Heng only recited the necessary chant and didn't shout out the full name of the ultimate move—Shatter in a Single Strike - Surging Wave Lance!
Caelus and Stelle controlled Super Granzort, planting the Kaiser Blade into the ground. "Come forth, Heaven-Covering Divine Dragon!"
The three-headed dragon formed of obsidian and lava once again flew out from the fissures in the earth, carrying Caelus and Stelle as it soared into the sky, flying straight towards the sky above Cocolia, who was being restrained by the pseudo black hole.
