Once Nicole appeared on the top of the staircase, the sitting room which had become noisy suddenly became quiet as all eyes were fixed on Nicole as she descended the stairs, in slow and graceful strides. The red gown was perfect on her perfect body, and I couldn't stop staring.
My eyes caught and held Nicole's cleavage which was exposed by the gown, while my brows furrowed. I was pretty sure there was a fabric to cover the exposed parts, it was the reason I got the dress in the first place. But Nicole had forfeited it, and wore the dress without it, and now these people were looking at her in places that should not concern them. It was funny how I had switched from loving it when Nicole was hotly dressed to feeling jealous now. Even I could not understand how the change came about.
Nicole followed the trail of the flowers, and headed out while the rest of us followed slowly from behind.
