Big Pillar Hanhan:

Tobirama, say something.

Namikaze Minato:

Nidaime?

The group was a little anxious. Kitahara Hitoshi was still in his apartment feeding the ninja rabbit. He took out a Chakra fruit, sliced it, and handed it to the rabbit. It looked the same as the previous fruit, but it wasn't. This wasn't the golden-form Chakra fruit from before—it was a new one, offered by an Ōtsutsuki who passed by from another planet, having harvested the Chakra from that world. It was practically delivered to his doorstep.

Thanks to that, a new moon now hung in the sky of the Ninja World. At first, the villagers were panicked, but they eventually got used to it. A bit of extra light at night wasn't a problem.

As far as Kitahara Hitoshi was concerned, the Ōtsutsuki clan wasn't so bad. After all, every one of them could contribute at least one Chakra fruit. The only disappointment was that none of them had more Chakra than Kaguya at her peak. It reminded him of when he watched the great battle between Momoshiki and Uchiha Madara.

Kaguya, in the original timeline, was really a clueless powerhouse. She had the highest Chakra capacity but didn't understand it. She possessed all the bloodline limits, but her techniques were just large-scale destruction, consuming vast amounts of Chakra. Still, if the Ōtsutsuki clan could supply enough Chakra, wouldn't it be fine?

Ordinary Chakra fruits are consumed and can't be replenished. But ninjas are different. Once Chakra is divided, they learn to refine it. They can recover what they've lost. This is the difference between Kitahara Hitoshi and his ninja rabbit. He could refine Chakra himself. The rabbit couldn't.

Still, it could eat them.

Kitahara Hitoshi looked at his little white rabbit. The rabbit looked up at him with pure white eyes. For a moment, time seemed to freeze.

"Have you noticed?" he asked. "You seem to be getting bigger."

He meant gaining weight—a rhetorical way of saying the rabbit had been eating too much lately.

The rabbit blinked, stunned, holding a small Chakra fruit between its paws, unsure whether to continue eating.

"No, it's fine to be fat," Kitahara said, stroking its head. "If you were human, maybe it'd be a problem. But as a pet, it's better to be a bit chubby."

The rabbit paused.

"Kidding," he said, tapping its tiny paw. "You're not fat. Chakra fruit isn't food. Eating it won't make you fat, just stronger."

Kaguya was a bottomless pit. Even now, she sensed the Chakra she had wasn't enough to return to her original state. But Kitahara Hitoshi didn't ask her to revert. It was enough that she continued to be his pet.

Unfilial Son Hamura:

Good guy. He got right to the point. I kind of admire him.

Sage of Six Paths You Have No Heart:

Eh.

This whole situation… we bear some responsibility.

As always, Sage of Six Paths found his voice muted in the group chat. But he was used to it.

With the arrival of Jinshi and Momoshiki, he and Hamura realized their past decisions were flawed. After sealing their mother, they became the front line against the greedy Ōtsutsuki. But after they passed away, it was the same as the First Hokage—the problems they couldn't solve got dumped on the next generation.

As elders, that was shameful.

Hashirama could still think, if he were revived, he could deal with the problem himself. But for Sage of Six Paths and Hamura, their bodies were gone, and resurrection was uncertain. There was little support, even from the descendants of Indra and Ashura. No one cared.

They were powerless.

Otakako Black Zetsu appeared online. It had no interest in Konoha's development or Jōnin exams. All it cared about was whether Kitahara Hitoshi gave the Chakra fruit to Kaguya.

Now that she had it, it could continue manipulating Madara into intercepting the greedy Ōtsutsuki.

Madara had found his rhythm. After clashing with the Ōtsutsuki, he rested, handed the Chakra fruit to Black Zetsu, then released the Ten Tails. The beast became bait to lure more Ōtsutsuki. When they arrived, Madara would strike them down and seize their Chakra fruits.

He kept growing stronger.

With Hashirama gone and no access to the moon, Madara stood as the guardian of the Ninja World. Once painted as a fabricated savior by Black Zetsu, he now became the real protector.

Whatever conflicts the lower world faced, internal ninja fights or squabbles, could be handled later. The Ōtsutsuki threat was external, and Madara was handling it.

He also felt himself growing stronger as the Ten Tails Jinchūriki. He enjoyed it.

As for the Ten Tails, every time an Ōtsutsuki came, it feasted on their Chakra and was happy too.

On the moon, Madara's lineage was thriving. Yet he was slightly annoyed that Obito hadn't acted. The Six Paths Planetary Devastation, the unresolved matter of Sasuke and Naruto—those things remained pending.

The stronger Madara became, the more obvious it was that Obito was just an accessory. Obito had his own thoughts. Black Zetsu didn't believe he'd act anytime soon.

Meanwhile, the group turned their attention back to Konoha.

The first-ever Jōnin assessment…

Kitahara Hitoshi was just playing with the rabbit. He hadn't said anything about the test or how the assessment would be conducted. Moreover, today was the day for the public Jōnin examination.

Yet Kitahara Hitoshi still hadn't shown up.

Big Pillar Hanhan glanced sideways. "Tobirama… what's wrong with you?"

Dazhuzi quickly noticed his brother's unusual state.

Senju Tobirama replied, "I'm shocked."

Big Pillar Hanhan blinked. "Huh?"

Namikaze Minato asked, "Second Hokage, what happened?"

Tobirama said, "I think I already understand what this Jōnin assessment is."

"But understanding it doesn't mean the brain can fully process it."

Big Pillar Hanhan grew increasingly puzzled. "Is the Jōnin exam really that outrageous?"

Kakashi jumped in. "So… does this mean Guy and I have to log off too?"

He spoke quickly, knowing that both he and Guy were still active ninjas in Konoha and included in the list of participants.

But once they heard that in the small group—

Senju Tobirama confirmed, "You two can log off."

[Beep]

Might Guy and Hatake Kakashi have gone offline.

Onoki frowned. "In other words, Kitahara Hitoshi has already set the rules and content for the exam?"

He added thoughtfully, "I'm very interested in this myself."

Fifth Mizukage Terumi Mei pursed her lips. She understood that she had already seen hope for Kirigakure's survival through Kitahara Hitoshi. Onoki, however, hadn't. And with Deidara, the next candidate for Tsuchikage, having blown himself up, Onoki realized that unless Iwagakure made drastic changes, they would fall behind. Even if Konoha didn't act against them, they would still lose their standing—and possibly more.

So now he wanted to adopt Konoha's model. Specifically, Kitahara Hitoshi's Jōnin evaluation model. In other words, Onoki had finally decided to change.

Could it be… Kitahara had brought about this shift?

Terumi Mei wasn't concerned about herself anymore. She was just waiting for Kitahara Hitoshi to mature. But the fact that even Tsuchikage was changing meant something profound.

No one could've expected the ninja world's pattern to shift so drastically.

If, in the beginning, Kitahara Hitoshi had chosen to accept her invitation and gone to Kirigakure, maybe… all these changes would've originated there.

Senju Tobirama turned serious. "Big brother, hold on, someone just reported in."

Big Pillar Hanhan asked, "Oh? What news?"

Tobirama said, "Yesterday, Kitahara Hitoshi took away half the Anbu."

He continued, "And now the back mountain tomb is empty."

Big Pillar Hanhan blinked. "Oh—huh?"

Minato gasped. "The tomb at the back mountain… don't tell me—"

Tobirama confirmed. "Yes."

Big Pillar Hanhan asked, "So Minato and the others can't be brought back through Impure World Reincarnation?"

Tobirama hesitated. "Not necessarily."

Big Pillar Hanhan frowned. "But haven't all the graves been stolen?"

Tobirama said, "Wait. More information is coming in."

Senju Tobirama added, "The latest report—"

"The Uchiha clan's cemetery, the one relocated outside the village, was also emptied."

"It happened around 9:30 today."

Big Pillar Hanhan said, "Nine thirty? That was just half an hour ago."

Tobirama nodded. "Exactly."

Uchiha Shisui stepped in. "Wait. Not just Konoha's cemetery, but even the Uchiha clan's?"

He asked, "Is another village trying to interfere with Konoha's development?"

Onoki interjected, "Iwagakure is innocent."

Terumi Mei added, "Kirigakure didn't do it either. Besides, we don't even have operatives in Konoha at the moment."

Fourth Raikage Ai sneered, "Well well, Konoha, you're finally facing consequences."

Tobirama snapped, "Shut up."

He said, "If we're doubting anyone, then the most suspicious would be your Cloud Village."

Minato asked, "Could it be related to the return of Nibi's Jinchuriki, Yugito Nii?"

Tobirama dismissed it. "No."

"Everyone calm down."

"These events are within expectations. The village's tombs are safe."

"I just can't process all the information yet."

Big Pillar Hanhan grew tense. "Tobirama, you used Sand Village as a testing ground for Impure World Reincarnation. But now all the graves in our village have been dug up."

"What happened to the Impure World Reincarnation plans?"

Dazhuzi Hanhan added, "My body is still with Orochimaru, but Minato and the others..."

"If Minato can't be unearthed, he won't be able to meet Naruto either."

Big Pillar Hanhan barked, "Hurry to Kitahara Hitoshi's house."

Dazhuzi Hanhan ordered, "Use all means to retrieve every tomb in the village."

Senju Tobirama tried to maintain order. "I said calm down. The cemetery is fine."

"You'll see."

Tobirama pointed at the live video playing in their private group.

It was almost 10 o'clock.

Kitahara Hitoshi gently touched the Genin rabbit's head.

Then, two Anbu operatives appeared at his door. Leading them was Uzuki Yūgao, her purple hair trailing behind her.

"Reporting in. The sealed scrolls from the Houshan tombs and the Uchiha family cemetery have been secured," she said, handing over two large scrolls to Kitahara Hitoshi.

"Well done," Kitahara replied. "You both may rest now."

"It's 10 o'clock."

"Then let's begin the first Konoha Jōnin Exam."

With his voice, the moment was set.

Big Pillar Hanhan gasped. "Huh?"

"This is how it starts?"

"But… where's the exam room? What's the test?"

"And the Houshan and Uchiha tombs—weren't they still missing?"

He paused. "So… it was Kitahara Hitoshi who dug them up."

"But why? What was he trying to do?"

Tobirama said flatly, "Big brother, don't talk."

"Just wait two minutes."

Big Pillar Hanhan grew impatient. "Two minutes?"

"Why wait—"

"Not good!"

Suddenly, two Anbu appeared outside the window. They pushed it open, faces urgent, tails flaring behind them.
