Chapter 201 - Soul Bone Anchor, Spirits Bound as One

Xiao Wu, utterly unaware of humanity's darker nature, simply thought Tang San had noticed Azure Hawk Douluo guarding the cave outside. She had no idea that she had just walked the edge of death, and without hesitation, she raised the tiger's skin and began bluffing the Title Douluo before her.

"Your Excellency Azure Hawk, I'm sure you already know my identity. I was just revived by that person. Even if you are a noble Title Douluo, if you don't want to invite disaster, I suggest you leave quickly."

Hearing Xiao Wu invoke Yu Tianming's name, Azure Hawk frowned. As a Spirit Hall elder, she had long heard that Qian Renxue's husband had a divine background. But only just now did she learn from Xiao Wu's own mouth that Yu Tianming had stepped into godhood and could revive dead soul beasts into humans at will.

As a Title Douluo, she could command respect anywhere—but in the face of a god who had broken through level 100, she was not much different from an ordinary person. With Yu Tianming as Xiao Wu's backing, she truly didn't dare to lay a finger on her. But Xiao Wu wasn't her main target. The real prey today was Tang San, who had escaped from the Haotian Clan and lacked any divine protection.

With that in mind, Azure Hawk's expression darkened as she turned toward the unremarkable Tang San.

Unexpectedly, the corners of Tang San's lips curled slightly. Before anyone noticed, his entire body had already turned the color of Blue Silver Grass. Just like when the Blue Silver King awakened him, his vitality and spirit condensed into countless blue specks, surging toward Xiao Wu like a tidal wave. The sacrifice happened so quickly that Azure Hawk Douluo didn't even have time to react. Tang San's body burst with radiant light, illuminating the storm-ridden forest for one blinding instant—then everything fell back into silence.

This time, due to Bibi Dong's sudden attack on the Haotian Clan, Tang San found himself in a deadly predicament. Unlike his mother, A Yin, who had sacrificed herself to protect him, Tang San was the one who ended up sacrificing himself to Xiao Wu.

Xiao Wu only felt a streak of bluish-violet light shoot into her forehead. In a daze, she found herself inside a pitch-black space.

Looking around, it was an endless void with only a faint glimmer of light far in the distance. She followed that light, and at its end stood a thin, unimpressive man.

This man had plain features. His high brow bones and sunken eyes gave him a bit of a sinister look.

Seeing Xiao Wu approach, Tang San forced a fake smile and dug into his mind for the most poetic words he could muster. "If only life were as it was at first sight, why mourn the autumn breeze and broken fan? Xiao Wu, you've come."

Hearing this familiar voice, Xiao Wu's eyes widened as she stared at the sinister-looking man before her. "You're… Third Brother? Why has your appearance changed again?"

Tang San offered a sheepish smile and walked over gently. "Xiao Wu, this is your spiritual world. What you see now is my soul's true form. No matter how I look—handsome or ugly—my love for you has never changed."

Xiao Wu could barely believe it. Her Third Brother's soul was so average-looking. But hearing his awkward words of affection, all thoughts flew from her mind. "Third Brother…"

"Alright, Xiao Wu, there's no time to grieve. Azure Hawk Douluo is still outside. Let me explain what you need to do next."

"After I sacrificed myself to you, my soul should have slumbered inside the head soul bone. But for some reason, my consciousness connected directly to yours. That's why I can communicate with you like this. My soul is safely stored in your spiritual space now, and thanks to Yu Tianming's name, Azure Hawk won't dare hurt you. As long as you preserve my body, there's still a chance I can be revived."

As an assassin with two lifetimes of experience, Tang San had always been hyper-aware of the situation around him. Realizing he couldn't escape from a Title Douluo, sacrificing himself had been his fallback plan all along. Just as Xiao Wu mentioned earlier—as long as his consciousness remained and she survived, there was still hope of resurrection.

Thinking this, Tang San's donkey face lit up with a smug grin, flashing a full row of white teeth. "Go, Xiao Wu. I'll always be behind you. I believe you can do this!"

As his words faded, Xiao Wu was ejected from the spiritual world.

Back in the cave, wind and rain howled through the broken entrance, causing the flames of the bonfire to dance wildly. Shadows flickered across the walls. Tang San's body, having just completed the sacrifice, lay lifelessly on the ground. Azure Hawk Douluo stared blankly at his corpse.

Tang San's voice sounded again in Xiao Wu's mind. "Quick, before Azure Hawk reacts, store my body in your storage ring!"

Not daring to delay, Xiao Wu rushed forward and stored Tang San's still-warm body. Though easily fooled by him, she wasn't stupid. After collecting his corpse, she turned to face Azure Hawk, her mind spinning. "Third Brother is already dead. Your mission is complete. Shouldn't you be leaving now?"

Azure Hawk, though a Title Douluo, had seen all kinds of bizarre things on the continent—but a wolf-thief hybrid's soul sacrifice like this? That was new.

Xiao Wu's words broke the silence in the cave. Azure Hawk looked at her cautiously. After some thought, she spoke with finality. "A hundred-thousand-year soul beast reborn as a human. Xiao Wu, was it? Though Tang San is dead, I must report back to Her Holiness. You'll have to come with me."

Without waiting for consent, she seized Xiao Wu and unfurled her massive green-flame wings. With a flap, she soared into the stormy skies, flying straight toward the Haotian Clan's ruins outside Heaven Dou City.

With her flying martial soul, Azure Hawk Douluo moved at incredible speed. In moments, they had crossed hundreds of miles and arrived at the battlefield.

By now, after the assault of nearly ten Title Douluo and countless Soul Kings and Soul Ancestors, the Haotian Clan had been completely wiped out. The once-blazing mountain fires had been doused by rain, leaving only ruined buildings and scattered corpses.

Azure Hawk landed with Xiao Wu at the broken gates of the Haotian fortress, entering through a breach in the wall. The blood-stained floors had been roughly cleaned, and the victorious forces now sheltered inside from the storm.

Through the crowd, they reached the room where Tang Xiao once handled affairs.

Inside sat nearly ten Title Douluo. Dugu Bo and Gu Rong from the Blue Lightning Tyrant and Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clans were among them. With the Haotian Clan—their long-standing enemy—finally destroyed, even these veteran warriors drank merrily, faces glowing with satisfaction.

Bibi Dong lounged lazily in the seat of honor. Before her lay several freshly cleaned spirit bones—each clearly over ten thousand years old, the most valuable spoils of war.

When she saw Azure Hawk enter with Xiao Wu in hand, she abruptly sat up. "Gu Rong, wasn't that hundred-thousand-year soul beast sacrificed to your Rongrong? Why is she in Azure Hawk's hands now?"

The skeletal Gu Rong sat upright, his face visibly shocked. "What's going on? I clearly remember her sacrificing herself to Rongrong. The hundred-thousand-year ring on Rongrong can't be faked."

At their exchange, all eyes turned to Azure Hawk.

But before she could speak, Xiao Wu stepped forward. "I did sacrifice myself to Rongrong. But Yu Tianming revived me not long ago—as a human. If you don't want trouble, then let me go."

She glared at Bibi Dong, the one who murdered her mother.

The room erupted.

"Revived?"

"Soul beasts can take human form?"

"Just how powerful is Yu Tianming now?"

Only Dugu Bo and Gu Rong, now Yu Tianming's in-laws, quietly stroked their beards and exchanged knowing smiles before falling silent.

Bibi Dong scanned the room. With a wave of her elegant hand, the discussion died down. She looked at Azure Hawk. "Your mission was to capture Tang San. How did you run into Xiao Wu instead? Explain."

As Azure Hawk recounted everything, the others were even more stunned. 'Tang San only had partial soul beast blood… and yet could still sacrifice himself like a wolf-thief hybrid? Was he even human?'

Bibi Dong paused in thought. Her gaze fell on the hateful Xiao Wu. With a smirk, she said mockingly, "I killed your mother back then. Don't you hate me? Why should I let my enemy go?"

Xiao Wu sneered, ignoring Tang San's voice in her head. Her eyes burned with hatred. "Hate you? I wish I could tear you apart and drink your blood. If you let me go today, I swear I'll return for revenge. But if you kill me again… be ready to face Yu Tianming's wrath!"

Blinded by rage, Xiao Wu never considered that Yu Tianming and Bibi Dong might be allies.

Bibi Dong chuckled. Since Yu Xiaogang's death, her heart had calmed considerably. She didn't mind Xiao Wu's outburst and said with amusement, "I'll give you a hint—look around the room. Guess whose side Yu Tianming is really on? Hahahaha! Azure Hawk, let her go. I want to see how this little one tries to take revenge."

Xiao Wu didn't hesitate. She walked straight out into the storm.

Only Tang San, hearing Yu Tianming's name, suddenly connected all the dots. 'So that's it… I was forced to sacrifice myself because of you. Yu Tianming, you've earned a place on my death list.'

A dark aura flickered around Xiao Wu. Bibi Dong, lounging casually, jolted upright. 'The Rakshasa God… I haven't heard from them in a long time. Why did I just sense its presence?'

As Xiao Wu vanished into the rain, Bibi Dong chose not to pursue—unaware that she had just missed the key to unraveling everything.

Outside the ruins, Xiao Wu trudged through the mud, soaking wet. Yet joy lit her face as Tang San's voice spoke in her mind.

"Xiao Wu, my body originally held an 80,000-year Blue Silver King head bone. Because of our shared bloodline, during my sacrifice, that soul bone absorbed my spirit and fused into you. Somehow… it quietly reached the hundred-thousand-year level."

Xiao Wu's lips curled. "Third Brother, I might have an idea. When Yu Tianming revived me, he used a gem-like head bone called the Spirit Link Wisdom Bone to contain my soul. That might be what allowed your spirit to link with mine—and why the head bone evolved."

"Based on what I know, your theory's solid. This ten-thousand-year head bone gives you two skills: Berserk and Drain. Berserk greatly boosts power for a short time but causes rage and loss of reason. Drain lets you absorb the life force of soul beasts or soul masters—no need to search for life-rich treasures anymore."

Hearing his analysis, Xiao Wu giggled. "Third Brother, twice today you burst out with a brutal aura. Is that a new technique? It's so intense…"

"That's called the Rakshasa Domain. Its effect is like your Berserk skill—it boosts combat power through rage. Combined, they're terrifying. After my sacrifice, you absorbed much of my stored life force—you're now a Soul Ancestor. As long as a Title Douluo doesn't act, no one can stop you. Just follow my plan step by step."

"I understand, Third Brother."

Perhaps a side effect of her invincibility, Xiao Wu had become a little dimwitted since her resurrection. Without question, she accepted everything Tang San told her.
