Chapter 21 - Qi Recovery Pills

The funeral ended as soon as Yanga finished his song. While he sang, the floating flame shifted from deep blue to gold, starting slowly with occasional golden sparks until the whole flame glowed warmly, as if offering comfort to anyone nearby.

When the last note faded, every flamer stilled, their focus seemingly on Yanga.

Then they dissolved into golden dust, scattering across the battlefield. Yanga thought some of the shimmering fragments might have entered his body, but that was a mystery for another time.

Somehow, the ritual trained him more than he'd anticipated. Even after all the fighting Younger had done, he'd only used about 60% of his spirit power.

The ritual itself was simple a short song lasting less than a minute but it still managed to drain another 30% of his spiritual energy, leaving Yanga with barely 10% of his normal reserves.

With the funeral over, Yanga climbed down from the wall and noticed something new.

A place that had been empty before he'd gone up, even before the battle began, was no longer barren. Standing there, Yanga trembled as he took in a vast field of tents, all the same color and design, differing only in size.

They stretched out as far as his eyes could see.

Yanga pulled out his Jade scroll and examined it. Since the tents were already arranged, he knew the assignment details would be sent there.

The message gave him the tent number and its location, so he headed off to find his tent.

Yanga couldn't help but be amazed by this world's technology. After spending half a year here, Yanga had noticed it was quite different from what they were used to back home. In some ways, it seemed less advanced than Earth's technology, yet in other ways, it was far superior to anything on Earth.

Take the Jade Scroll, for instance. It works much like Earth's cell phone technology, but with a few small differences.

The scroll's network was quite complex and could only operate within a certain radius, such as Yanga Village.

Once Yanga left the village, his scroll lost its signal, though other methods could communicate over long distances. This limitation, however, wasn't a major drawback.

Of course, the jade scroll has its own perks. Take the network, for example. Back on Earth, there was the internet, where one could download or explore new possibilities.

Here, there's no internet, but there is something similar: a library or storehouse of information. With just a jade scroll in hand, Yanga could easily buy information from the right people without much hassle.

The information would download to his phone at incredible speed, showing that the internet in this world was far superior to the one he'd left behind.

These Jade scrolls also had other features that made them exceptional: they were nearly indestructible and, for those with similar strength, impossible to hack.

They boasted impressive abilities, like a scanning function capable of identifying a wide range of things such as animals or spirits plants quickly and accurately, without needing an internet connection.

What impressed Yanga the most was how the Jade scroll was used during the battle.

Every cultivator involved in the beast stampede had to carry a jade scroll linked to Mhlanga Village's formations. This setup allowed the jade scroll to track and mark every beast a cultivator killed.

The procurement crew could then identify which beasts were taken down by whom, ensuring each cultivator received what rightfully theirs is

When Yanga finally reached his tent, he was startled to find an unexpected visitor from the village.

Though he didn't know them personally, just like many others, he could still recognize nearly every face in the community.

Yanga was so well-known in Yanga Village that many people went out of their way to see him in person, even if they never spoke to him.

Whenever he strolled through the village, eyes followed him, and some even pointed him out. Over time, this helped Yanga memorise the faces of everyone who lived there.

The young man stood beside Yanga's tent and upon spotting him, stepped forward with a polite greeting.

He explained that the elders had sent him to deliver something to Yanga, then handed over a jade bottle containing ten pills.

Yanga was a bit shocked to see this. How could the elders be so generous? Without missing a beat and keeping his face expressionless, he thanked the young man who had given him the pills.

The young man said his goodbye, and Yanga entered his tent, still puzzled by why the elders would give him something like this.

Yanga noticed the pills inside the jade pocket and immediately recognized they were no ordinary find some of the finest he could hope for.

Right now, the only thing he truly needs is the supreme-tier human-grade pill called the Qi Recovery Pill. With over 90% of his Q spirit drained, this pill will give him the boost he needs to recover fast and be ready for the next wave in no time.

Even though Yanga was a lot skeptical about the reason why the elders would send him these pills, he still didn't change the fact that he needed them.

With over 90% of his reserves used up and the second wave that could start at any moment now, Yanga needed these pills more than anything.

Yanga sat down in the tent and glanced around, noticing a few unique details. This wasn't just a standard recovery setup it was enhanced with powerful formations designed to aid in post-battle recovery, though they didn't offer much in the way of direct healing.

They helped cultivators refine their spiritual power simply: the cultivator can place a large number of spirit stones in a specific spot, and the tent would refine the spirit qi from the stones before channeling it to the cultivator.

This allowed for a quick recovery without the cultivator needing to refine much of the spirit qi being absorbed at the time.

Unfortunately for Yanga, he was flat broke. During his recent seclusion, he had used up all the spirit stones he owned, which would have been a major problem if he hadn't managed to get his hands on a bottle of Qi Recovery Pills.

Seeing where he was now, he felt a bit grateful for the elders' actions. While some suspicion lingered, his appreciation outweighed it for the moment.

Yanga sat down, opened the bottle of pills, and took one, then he entered a meditation state. It took Yanga a full day to recover to 100%.

Here to give, to be appreciative of the cure recovery pills. These aren't normal cure recoveries, but the best-quality pills within the human grade.

A fun fact is that those pills were usually not meant for people in the spirit qi gathering stage, but rather for those in the foundation establishment stage.

Thanks to Yanga's unusually large meridians and spiritual ocean, even pills that would normally cripple or kill others in the same cultivation realm could be taken by him without any issues.

Seeing how things stood, Yanga felt certain about his next move. He either had to learn to refine pills himself or find someone who could do it for him.

If he could enlist a skilled pill refiner, the resources typically used by a golden core cultivator would greatly boost his cultivation speed and give him a huge advantage.

After a full day of rest, Yanga felt a mix of anticipation and gratitude. The beast stampede had given him plenty of time to recover, and it showed no signs of starting up again.

Curious about the rewards from the previous battle, he figured the procurement crew had likely finished tallying the spoils for the people and cultivators and were ready to hand out what was rightfully theirs.
