Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke settled into Rengoku Manor.

The next day, Ryuji and Rengoku Kyōjurō, notified by a crow, went to the estate of Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the Demon Slayer Corps' master, to give a detailed mission report.

Ubuyashiki learned many details, and Ryuji learned about Upper Rank One, Kokushibo.

Ubuyashiki was surprised that Muzan Kibutsuji had sent both Lower and Upper Rank demons to attack Ryuji and Tanjiro.

Moreover, they were high-ranking Upper Ranks. What surprised Ubuyashiki most was Kokushibo's presence.

Kokushibo was Upper Rank One and a recorded demon in Demon Slayer Corps history. He was a former member of the original Breath of the Sun swordsmen and the brother of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the creator of Breath of the Sun.

Ubuyashiki undoubtedly hated Kokushibo. If not for Kokushibo's betrayal, Muzan Kibutsuji would have been killed by Yoriichi Tsugikuni long ago, and the Ubuyashiki family's curse would have been lifted.

The Ubuyashiki family was related to Muzan Kibutsuji. After Muzan became a demon a millennium ago, the Ubuyashiki family was cursed. Their children were frail and sickly, especially the boys, who usually died young.

To prevent the family line from dying out, the Ubuyashiki family followed the advice of a shrine priest and intermarried with the Jingū family for generations. While this extended their lives, no Ubuyashiki heir lived past thirty.

No one knows how Muzan Kibutsuji became a demon; it's an uninvestigated mystery known only to Muzan himself.

After Ryuji and Rengoku finished their report, they left Ubuyashiki's estate.

During the report, while serving tea, Hinaki Ubuyashiki secretly slipped a note to Ryuji, indicating she wanted to convey something.

After parting with Rengoku, Ryuji privately read the note: "Tonight, at the hour of the boar, meet outside the Butterfly Mansion."

Ryuji realized Hinaki wanted to meet him, likely due to the system's influence. He had simply helped her in a difficult situation, and she had fallen for him.

Recalling their conversation, Ryuji smiled. He wasn't irresponsible; polygamy was acceptable in this world, and it was still early in the industrial age. However, he wondered what Shinobu thought and whether she would accept it.

Around the hour of the boar, Ryuji arrived early and waited outside the Butterfly Mansion. He wasn't hiding; he was openly waiting.

Soon, Hinaki Ubuyashiki approached the gate, carrying a lantern.

Seeing Hinaki in the darkness, Ryuji approached her. She was still wearing the same clothes from Mount Natagumo, her large, watery eyes looking cute and charming.
