Chapter 248 - Chapter 247: The Myth, the Chakra, and the Practical Space-Time Ninjutsu Lesson!

Whenever Seimei studied the geography of the Shinobi continent, he fell into deep thought.

Based on the positions of the different major elemental and small nations, the climate, soil, and other geographical and atmospheric changes shouldn't be as extreme as they were.

The Land of Fire, the country where Konoha was located, had a moderate climate, a balanced cycle of seasons, fertile lands, and tons of other resources.

It was normal. That was how a country with a favorable position, where it had access to both the mainland and the sea, should be.

But the other four major elemental nations? That was where things got bizarre.

According to the books and other ninjas' experiences, the Land of Wind was almost deserted, and its air was filled with a large amount of wind chakra.

And apart from a few places and oases, the soil of the Land of Wind was just too dry to farm and grow anything.

The Land of Earth's air and soil were infused with an excessive amount of Earth chakra, making their terrain very rocky and their air too dry.

The Land of Water's air was filled with an excessive amount of Water chakra, which was natural considering this country was full of islands, surrounded by the ocean on all sides.

And the Land of Lightning? Its cold, rough, and cloudy atmosphere was understandable, considering it was practically a highland. But even then, this land's constantly thundering sky and an excessive amount of lightning chakra were baffling.

Don't even get him started about the constantly raining climate of the Land of Rain. How the heck did the rain only affect the entire country, but when you crossed the border, the rain cloud disappeared?

Yes, it was baffling.

Considering these nations were part of the same continent and weren't that far from each other, such an extreme change of atmosphere and soil quality was quite absurd.

Scientifically, it made zero sense.

Even if the world were filled with mystical natural energy and chakra, there had to be some logical explanation for this phenomenon.

Only after he began perceiving and sensing the natural energy, the elemental particles, the chakra in the air, and the way chakra interacted with the natural energy, did it finally hit him.

He had long since gone through many myths of the Shinobi world.

And one of those mythical stories was about the battle between some evil rabbit goddess and her righteous twin sons, one of whom was fabled as the Sage of Six Paths, who had fought her for several months all across the Shinobi continent before finally banishing her.

That evil rabbit goddess was obviously his real grandmother, Otsutsuki Kaguya, who was still alive, sealed within the moon.

And those twin sons were none other than Otsutsuki Hamura and Otsutsuki Hagoromo.

As for the fact that they had fought all across the Shinobi continent…

It might be true, too. After all, Kaguya already had access to several space-time Ninjutsu. Her sons having some sort of space-time Ninjutsu was entirely possible.

If Seimei's thoughts were right, they had probably nuked the entire continent with countless large-scale destructive Ninjutsu.

And their aftereffects probably left the continent in such chaos that their residual chakra and its interaction with natural energy eventually reshaped the terrain, atmosphere, weather, and even the living beings on those lands over time.

This hypothesis also explained why:

✅A large portion of the people and ninjas of the major elemental nations had an innate affinity for a specific chakra nature transformation. For example, if a ninja in the Land of Earth had only innate chakra nature affinity, the chances of him having an affinity for the Earth chakra nature were the highest.

✅Some nations experienced extremely unusual weather conditions, climates, and soil types.

✅Different nations had a diverse range of chakra beast species that were exclusive only to that land.

There were many other things. But Seimei didn't want to look for the finer details before understanding the big picture more accurately.

It was already good that he could deduce this much.

It might be worth researching after the world became a little more peaceful, and when the blade, named the Otsutsuki clan, stopped hanging over his and everyone's neck.

But now, increasing his combat power was more important.

Maybe he would discover more secrets of natural energy and chakra once he achieved the Sage Mode.

Perhaps the secret of natural energy and the chakra would allow him to surpass the natural limits of the elemental affinities, go beyond the Six Paths level, and develop unique techniques.

He didn't know what it would be.

He didn't know whether researching it would be beneficial to him at all.

But he had this vague feeling that told him it would be his key to a massive breakthrough in the future.

It was just a hunch.

However, it definitely wasn't something he needed to be overly concerned about—not now, at least.

Click!

Seimei opened the lid of the pocket watch again and checked the time.

"Yup, it's only 6:14 AM now. It would be better to meditate and feel the natural energy for a little longer."

With that, he put his pocket watch away and closed his eyes once more.

-------------------

Time slowly passed, and soon, the clock hit 7 AM.

Right at that moment, Seimei, who was meditating while keeping his eyes closed, suddenly felt a slight, almost imperceptible disturbance within his spatial perception, a sensory trait unique to those with high space-time talent.

Sensing that, Seimei opened his eyes. And at the same time, Tobirama's figure suddenly materialized beside a tree, which was forty meters away from Seimei's current location.

Seeing his father's figure, Seimei smiled.

So, he placed his Flying Thunder God Mark in that tree, huh? He had used the concealment runes on his unique space-time markings, too.

And this place should have plenty of his Flying Thunder God Marks hidden.

This place is not only his training ground, but his domain where he is almost invincible. You can't catch him. But he can target you any time, at any moment, and from any angle.

Just as those thoughts entered his mind, Tobirama also looked toward him. His red eyes flashed in recognition.

Then, his chakra flared beneath his feet, and in the blink of an eye, he appeared right in front of Seimei.

"Good. You are here," said Tobirama.

Seimei nodded and replied, "Good morning, father."

Tobirama smiled. "Good morning, indeed."

But that smile disappeared the very next second.

"Today, we will spar. And during the spar, I want you to use the Flying Thunder God Technique as creatively as possible."

"You must use it to evade, attack, dodge, sense, and even launch preemptive attacks."

"I will also use the same technique and use space-time teleportation to pressure you."

"You need to sense me before my attack lands."

"You must learn to anticipate my next strike and react fast enough to counterattack the most efficient way possible."

"You must learn to chain your other attacks and Ninjutsu with the Flying Thunder God Technique to make them more unpredictable and deadly."

"So, are you ready?"

Seimei nodded solemnly. Since his father had spoken so many words, Seimei knew that he was about to get serious.

He would not show mercy.

It was going to be a battle for survival.

Seeing Seimei nod, Tobirama pulled out a kunai, one that had his unique Flying Thunder God Mark engraved, twirled it a few times using his fingers, before finally grabbing its handle firmly.

Tobirama's red eyes bore down upon Seimei.

"Very well, my son."

"Never let your guard down and be prepared."

"Because the moment you slip, you will be in a world of pain."
