As soon as the words fell, the air between them became tense. Seimei no longer nodded or made any unnecessary moves.
Instead, he silently activated his Tenseigan and carefully looked at Tobirama, trying to identify any sudden movement. Against an opponent of his father's caliber, no amount of caution was enough.
Even though his father said that he would restrict his physical strength and combat prowess to a newly advanced Kage-level ninja of the Senju clan, Seimei would still have a tough time avoiding severe injuries, even with the Flying Thunder God Technique.
Meanwhile, Tobirama's lips curled into an imperceptible grin. "Good, you are ready then."
"In that case.."
Tobirama's eyes sharpened further as he put his index finger through the ring of the kunai's handle and made the kunai spin around his finger.
The kunai spun so fast that it almost became a blur, creating an illusion of three blurry kunai around his finger. It was similar to how the blades of a ceiling fan became blurry when it spun too fast.
"...let's begin."
Even before the words left his mouth, Tobirama threw the spinning kunai toward Seimei's abdomen.
Whoosh!
The kunai flew toward Seimei at the speed of a bullet, all while stirring up the air around it, causing it to make a sharp, whistling sound.
Too fast. No time to intercept it with another kunai or shuriken. I can't dodge sideways either. The kunai is marked with his Flying Thunder God Seal. He will instantly teleport near me, and when he does, it's game over for me.
Seimei's thoughts raced as his brain processed several ideas, probabilities, and calculations within microseconds.
Every action he planned to take seemed like a dead end.
But it didn't mean he had no solution. After all, a proper ninja would never fight unprepared.
Fortunately, I rigged this training ground with my Flying Thunder God Marks and kunai.
Couldn't deal with or dodge the attack? No problem.
Just teleport far away.
With a simple thought, he instantly channeled his chakra and sensed the spatial coordinates of all the Flying Thunder God Marks in the training ground.
He chose one of the marks that was located at least 25 meters away from the nearest Flying Thunder God Mark of his father, and instantly activated the Flying Thunder God Technique.
The spatial fabrics fluctuated near Seimei, and he vanished from the spot in the blink of an eye, just a few milliseconds before the rocketing kunai could touch him.
Tobirama didn't even bat an eye. Instead, even before the kunai reached the position where Seimei had been standing previously, he looked away toward a different direction where he sensed abnormal fluctuations in space.
His eyes were unreadable. But his lips sported a smirk.
Meanwhile, Seimei, who had just activated his space-time teleportation, experienced the wondrous feeling of crossing the spatial dimensions once again.
His body appeared in a place that seemed like a pitch-black void. In the soundless, directionless void, numerous lightspots shone like twinkling stars.
Seimei knew what those twinkling stars represented.
Each of them was a space-time coordinate, marked by his unique Flying Thunder God Mark.
The moment he activated the technique, his body vanished into the void, and a dimensional tunnel seemed to connect him to a specific twinkling light spot.
That light spot attracted his figure like a black hole, causing him to move through the tunnel so fast that he arrived before the light spot, even before he could blink his eyes.
And as soon as he touched the light spot, the scenery changed.
His figure vanished from the void and reappeared next to the tree that he marked with his unique Flying Thunder God Seal.
Such an abrupt change and dimensional travel should have caused him dizziness.
However, thanks to his superior space-time talent, highly developed spatial perception, lightning-fast reflexes, and sharpened battle instincts, he immediately realized his exact location, including the position of every tree, stone, insect, dust particle, leaf, and finally, his father.
Unfortunately, he didn't have time to appreciate the scenery.
Because an enormous, ten-meter-long, serpentine water dragon was rushing toward him.
Roar~
"Damn it."
His figure flashed out of existence again, and he appeared near a different tree, eight meters away from his previous position, only to see the water dragon construct ramming into a thick, three-meter-wide ironwood tree.
The tree was uprooted by the sheer force behind the water dragon, before its stem burst into wooden splinters.
But Seimei's focus was on a bunch of kunai, each marked with Tobirama's Flying Thunder God Seal, racing toward him like arrows.
He simply gathered fire chakra in his throat and puffed his chest.
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique
Seimei breathed a stream of fire that formed a giant, five-meter-wide fireball, which he launched toward the incoming barrage of kunai.
This technique might be a deceptively simple, C-rank Ninjutsu, but its great utility had never disappointed him.
Sure enough. The giant fireball just rammed into the barrage of kunai. And the moment it did, Seimei, who was controlling the fireball, detonated it.
Boooooom!!
A fiery explosion occurred mid-air, blasting off all scorched and heavily damaged kunai to the opposite direction, all while kicking up a lot of dust, obscuring Tobirama's vision.
But Seimei knew that Tobirama wasn't there anymore.
Seimei looked to his right. There, he saw Tobirama standing leisurely on a thick branch of a tree ten meters away, swinging his right arm at him.
Water Release: Water Whip Technique
The atmospheric water particles quickly condensed, converged, and created a long, flexible, and extendable whip of water in Tobirama's grasp.
At the next moment, with the swinging motion of Tobirama's arm, the whip extended and lashed out at Seimei.
The power of the whip was so strong that it broke through several branches and arrived in front of his face almost instantly.
"Oh shit!"
Seimei cursed and instinctively jumped away, only to see the poor tree branches near him snap.
But he wasn't safe.
Because Seimei suddenly sensed a slight, almost negligible spatial fluctuation five meters behind his back.
And the second he sensed it, Seimei didn't hesitate to activate the Flying Thunder God Technique, and immediately bolted away.
Seimei's figure vanished. And a tenth of a second later, Tobirama suddenly appeared five meters away from Seimei's previous location and struck his water whip.
Evidently, it only snapped another tree branch.
Seimei was nowhere to be seen.
But Tobirama didn't have to wait for long.
Seimei suddenly appeared behind Tobirama's back. He was seven meters away from his father.
Without wasting any time, he channeled fire chakra to his right arm, which he extended toward Tobirama.
Fire Release: Fire Bolt Technique
Fire chakra churned in front of Seimei, creating a bright, yellowish-white, fifty-centimeter-wide sphere of scorching fire that was compressed to an extreme.
It was so hot that the leaves surrounding Seimei caught fire, and the bark of trees emitted smoke, while letting out a sizzling sound.
Even Tobirama felt a premonition of danger for a moment. Well, just for a moment.
Then, Seimei manipulated the fire chakra to loosen the tight compression on the surface of the fireball that was facing Tobirama. It was akin to putting a small hole in the surface of a rubber balloon filled with water.
The instant Seimei loosened the compression, a thirty-centimeter-thick, bright yellowish-white beam of scorching fire burst from the fireball and shot toward Tobirama in a straight line like a concentrated laser.
Witnessing such a lethal Jutsu, Tobirama also turned around and showed his edge.
Water Release: Water Severing Wave
With just one hand seal, Tobirama quickly kneaded chakra and converted it into water chakra. Then, he spewed a powerful, high-pressure stream of concentrated water with enough cutting power to slice through thick blocks of steel.
The time seemed to stop.
And before long, two highly lethal Jutsu, a beam of fire and a stream of water, met mid-air.
BOOOOOOM!
