Chapter 143 - Famous For Obedience To His Wife

Janice didn't reply, she just took the bag from Gladys.

At the moment, Gladys' apology was meaningless.

She said to Christopher, "Let's go."

Christopher nodded, and then the two of them left.

Gladys breathed a sigh of relief, but said with a look of disgust, "What bad luck! I wore a dead person's clothes."

With that, she turned around and walked upstairs in disgust.

After Janice and Christopher left the Gladwells house, they drove back to their own place.

On the way, Janice looked at Christopher and bit her lips. "I'm sorry." Christopher was driving. Hearing her apology, he frowned and looked at her. "Why are you apologizing?"

Guilt flickered in Janice's eyes. "It's all because of me that your grandfather couldn't even have a good birthday celebration."

Her tone was guilt-ridden.

Christopher shook his head helplessly. He reached out to hold the back of her hand and said, "Didn't I say that Grandpa wouldn't care?"

"But he looked really sad today," said Janice with concern.
