[POV: Ruvan]
The Alpha King watched with disinterest as the nervous informant followed Thalos into the Hall. He traced lazy circles onto the back of Solenne's hand with his index finger, already bored.
'Pathetic.' He thought, glowering down at the man. The wolf was no older than thirty, with pale skin and short brown hair. He held himself with the confidence of a rabbit standing before a tiger, which amused Ruvan.
Ruvan liked it when people feared him. The smell of their anxiety in the air sent waves of excitement through his body, stirring the fire beneath his skin.
He planned to stare at the informant longer just to unsettle the poor guy, but Thalos cleared his throat again.
"This is Auren," Thalos introduced. "You spoke with him once several months ago when he arrived here with two other scouts."
