Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: The Final War

Robin: "We'll reach the Holy Land in 12 hours." He said to the Den Den Mushi.

???: "Understood, we'll begin the operation in 10 hours then; the security detail is led by Prince and Nami, the hostage rescue team by Koala and Gilgamesh, and the attack team by Dragon and Ace. I'm currently leading a group of 10 people so we can move around and go to the places where help is needed or to relay information," Sabo's voice came through.

Dante: "Understood!!" I shouted from my position, and the call ended.

Moria: "How organized everyone is," she said, sounding tired, both physically and mentally. "What are we supposed to do?"

Dante: "Just provide backup, reinforcements; we'll go to the team that's having the most trouble."

Perona: "And what if all three of them are having problems?" she asked, a valid question.

Dante: "If that's the case, or if you don't know who's in the most trouble, we'll split into three groups, each of us going to a different group. Zoro, Robin, Chopper, and Koby will go with Prince and Nami; Sanji, Pudding, Jimbei, and you will go with Gil and Koala; the rest of you will go with Dragon and Ace."

Moria: "Wait, I'll be on the attack team," he said in a panic.

Dante: "Yes," I said curtly, without arguing.

Luna: "And what about him?" she said, pointing to Kuzan, who was gagged and bound with seastone. He was awake, unable to move or speak. Chopper was currently tending to his last wounds.

Dante: "We'll drop them off on an island before we arrive." Kuzan opened his eyes when he heard me.

Luna: "Understood," she said, giving a military salute.

Kuzan began to convulse weakly, trying to free himself, but he couldn't.

Kuzan may be strong, but I have no desire to have an emotionally unstable fellow as an ally. Perhaps another time, Kuzan.

Robin stood beside him, silently chuckling at the former admiral's bad luck.

...

Third-person POV.

The Skíðblaðnir was already approaching the holy land; Dante checked on the others. Luffy, Luna, Garp, and Moria had eaten practically all the stored food. Everyone was fine and ready for battle. Garp was in the worst shape, but all things considered, he could take on anyone.

Mary Geoise was now in sight; all that was left was to hear the chaos from afar.

Out of nowhere, meteorites began to fall all along the red line, destroying part of it.

Moria: "What the...?" he said in terror.

Robin: "Oh my God," she said, covering her mouth.

Garp: "Dragon," he said listlessly.

Dante: "What the hell is going on over there?"

With that said, the ship flew to where everything was happening.

Dante: "They answered you," he said, looking at Robin.

Robin: "I have nothing."

Dante: "Luffy," Start.

Luffy: "Understood," he said, using his arms and rubber like a catapult to propel himself forward; he quickly reached the top of the Red Line.

Seeing this, everyone with the ability to fly followed Luffy. Dante, Luna, Robin, Chopper, Pudding, and Perona remained on the ship.

Dante: "Good luck," he whispered. "Luna, find a safe place to leave the wounded and those who can't fight, and let me know."

Luna: "Yes, sir," she said, transforming into a beam and taking off.

...

Chaos and destruction reigned within Mary Geoise, with death everywhere: marines, CP0 members, revolutionaries, pirates, and above all, the highest number of World Nobles ever recorded. Fifteen percent were with the Knights of God, 43% were with the revolutionaries, pirates, and marines, while the rest died from collateral damage or were simply targeted by some to take revenge on these "superior beings."

Faced with this, the Marines reacted, and upon learning the situation, they split into two factions: those against and those in favor. Those in favor were Kizaru, who had been fed up with the World Government since Vegapunk, and Fujitora, while on the other side were Greenbull and Akainu.

Akainu, seeing his daughter on the other side, couldn't contain himself and attacked her, killing her with a single blow. However, this severely affected him, both mentally and morally, and he ended up falling into Sabo's hands.

Dragon went to confront Imu directly on Pangea, but he ended up falling to Imu's demonization, or what's better known as Domi Reversi.

Right now, Ace is fighting against the demonized Dragon.

Ace could be seen enveloped in bluish fire, repelling Dragon's blows. Meanwhile, Dragon continued summoning meteors that rained down everywhere, killing enemies and allies alike.

Not far away, Yamato and Hancock were fighting against San Marcus Mars; both were badly injured.

Ace was in the midst of awakening his Devil Fruit, but Dragon's strength, combined with his experience and demonization, kept him behind.

Just when Ace thought he would fall in this battle, a man descended from the sky, striking Dragon and sending him flying. When the smoke cleared, Garp was revealed, his hands imbued with Haki.

Garp: "This time, I will fight to protect my family, even if it means abandoning my values as a Marine," he said with determination. He looked at Ace and then at Dragon. This reminded him of the God Valley incident, as the parallels were striking.

Ace: "Thank you, Grandpa. Without you, I would have been lost."

Garp: "Focus. Find a way to break Dragon's domination."

Elsewhere, Nami and Prince, badly injured, were supporting Kuzaru as he faced San Topman Warcury and San Shepherd Ju Peter.

In the distance, Fujitora could be seen battling Green Bull. It should be noted that very few marines went to the side of the Straw Hats, some examples being Doll, Smoker, Gion, Tokikake, Dalmatian, Tashigi, Hina, and Isuka, among others.

At that moment, Shepherd managed to slip away and attack Nami and Prince. They tried to defend themselves, but just as he was about to touch them, Sanji arrived and kicked him with his Diable Jambe.

Sanji: "How dare you try to attack a woman, you shameless bastard?" he said angrily.

Nami: "Sanji!!" she cried, thrilled to be saved, while Prince let out the breath he had been holding. "Sanji, take this," he said, throwing Nemesis to him. "With seastone, you can nullify his immortality indefinitely, as long as it's in contact."

Sanji: "Good to know," he said as he held the Nemesis and watched Kizaru fight Topman and Shepherd; he was ready to act again.

Elsewhere, several Straw Hats and Marines were facing Ethanbaron. Just as he was about to kill Usopp, he was saved by Zoro, who immediately confronted him, resuming their fight on Egghead.

And not far away you could see Koby saving a nearly dying Karasu, along with Smoker, Tashigi, and Hina, from a rampaging Kong, along with Franklin and Brook.

A little further into Mary Geoise, Gil could be seen facing a Gorosei, this one being Saint Figarland Garling. He had faced other Knights of God but had already killed all those who stood in his way.

Both were badly wounded. Figarland's wounds were regenerating very slowly, while Gil had several broken ribs and a nearly destroyed shoulder.

Figarland: "I always thought I'd face the children of Ares, not his grandson; it's ironic."

Gil: "I'm not interested in your delusions, old man."

The other one just laughed at Gil.

Figarland: "Ha, you can't kill and, by default, defeat me," he said.

Gil: "Let's see if you can regenerate when I cut off your head." He said, taking an attack position with Durindana.

Elsewhere, the last three members of the Manmayer main line could be seen. They were currently heading in one direction, specifically toward where Robin and the others were, for a simple reason: they were going to escape.

During the Colosseum incident, Dianna gave her Den Den Mushi to Yamato to communicate, and they discussed many things with Dante.

Not wanting anything to happen to them, since they were still her blood relatives, and believing he could have redemption or a second chance, she warned them about the situation. They didn't say anything in response; only when the chaos began did they grab their suitcases and important belongings and leave.

Anna: "Goodbye to my life of luxury, but I think it's better than being forced to marry some ugly guy here," she said.

Alex: "I wish I could have brought the others; sadly, they preferred to stay and be protected by the Knights of God."

Dianna: "Even though one was Ramses' lover and the other his son, they're from another family, and there's nothing we can do about that."

Anna: "I just hope Dante provides us with a good place to live and some very handsome guys."

The other two gave her strange looks, which she ignored. The three of them were escaping to avoid trouble, but Alex and Dianna couldn't prevent trouble from always finding them as long as Anna was with them.

At that moment, a huge explosion was heard. Its epicenter was Sabo.

Next to him were several corpses; among them were Betty, Morley, Ivankov, Cavendish, and Ideo. Of those still breathing were a nearly destroyed Kuma and an unconscious Bartholomew.

Sabo was covered in fatal wounds and several cuts from weapons, and he was missing an arm.

In front of him were Shamronk, Ginkou, Sommers, Momonga, Doberman, and others. They had also managed to take down several of them, but Sabo's group was at their limit. Sabo was on his last legs.

Just as Shamrock was about to attack, multiple lightning bolts struck them, damaging some of them.

Sommers looked up at the sky, seeing a hammer just inches away, slamming into his head and knocking him unconscious for a few minutes.

From the rubble, Luna appeared, enveloped in lightning and atop Mjolnir.

Shamrock had leaped back, only to open his eyes and block a sword slash, sending him flying several meters.

The attacker was Dante, wielding the Fusion Sword. Gunko quickly attacked him with several arrows.

Dante dodged them but continued toward Shamrock.

Dante: "Luna, take care of the others! Leave these two to me!" he shouted, not waiting for a reply; there was no time to see anything else.

Luna simply nodded and settled her own battle.

Dante spun the Fusion Sword and attacked Shamrock's Cerberus Blade, then spun around and dodged several of Gunko's shots.

Dante: "How annoying," he said, clicking his tongue.

...

Luffy could be seen running through the empty corridors of Pangea; the silence was unsettling, but it didn't bother him.

Luffy still vividly remembered what happened in Elbaft, what happened to the children, Dorry and Brogy, and Hajrudin.

How he hadn't managed to invite Loki, how the Knights of God had sealed off the place, leaving it almost in ashes. How his friends had almost died again.

All because of the people he was now searching for, thanks to Dante's directions.

Suddenly, he arrived at a room filled with flowers, almost destroyed; the place was a mess. In the middle of it all was the person he was looking for, Imu.

Imu: "Nika," she said almost in a whisper, but Luffy heard her anyway.

He just frowned. At this point, I had some idea of what was going on with Joyboy and Nikka, but not a very clear one, just a vague notion of how it all connected to what I overheard Robin and Dante talking about.

Luffy: "I don't know what you're talking about, and I don't care. I just know I'll defeat you right here and now." He said as he activated his Gear 2.

Imu didn't say anything; he just summoned several arrows.

Luffy used a ring and launched it with great force, destroying several arrows, which surprised Imu, especially the weapon he was using.

Taking advantage of this, Luffy, using his speed, moved out of Imu's sight and, with a swift leap, was at the perfect angle to attack.

Coating his fist with advanced Haki, he launched himself at Imu. Imu enveloped several arrows like a shield, blocking Luffy's attack.

The clash of Haki was felt throughout Mary Geoise, marking the beginning of the end of this war.

...

Dante was dodging a seemingly endless barrage of arrows.

Just as three fireballs hurtled toward him. With an energy slash, he cut through the three fireballs, taking some damage from the arrow barrage.

Using Soru, he managed to escape the barrage but found himself face-to-face with Shamrock. Shamrock, with his sword, delivered three fiery slashes in a single blow.

Using Kami-e, he managed to position himself between the two slashes, avoiding the attack.

Shamrock enveloped his sword in flames and attacked Dante.

Gunko's arrows were homing in, constantly targeting Dante's vital points and distorting to reach their target.

Dante's only option was to destroy the arrows, which meant he had to tank Shamrock's attacks.

He knew he couldn't go on like this; he couldn't spend his whole life fighting both of them. He had to get rid of one of them quickly.

With a powerful blow, he sent Shamrock flying, giving him an opening to act. Knowing he couldn't easily kill either of them, he opted for another plan.

He summoned Tonbogiri and launched himself at Gunko. She attacked him with several arrows, but Dante destroyed them, and from a safe distance, he plunged his spear into Gunko's chest.

Gunko didn't dodge, knowing she wouldn't die; what she didn't expect was that Dante would take the spear like a javelin and, using all his strength, send her flying far from the Red Line, straight into the sea.

Shamrock arrived but couldn't prevent his companion from being thrown into the void, unsure if she would return in time.

With the space now available, Dante launched himself like a beast at Shamrock.

The battle was completely uneven. Shamrock had the power and skills to face Dante, but she lacked something her opponent possessed: experience and creativity.

Dante had already transformed into his hybrid form. With a blast of Conqueror's Haki, he launched himself at his enemy. This feat blocked the attack, but Dante pressed a button, and the six swords within the fusion flew out, disorienting Shamrock.

In less than a second, using all his speed, Dante severed each of Shamrock's lifelines with different swords, killing him instantly, without a farewell or last words. Just two people fighting to the death.

With that done, Dante ran off to where Luffy was fighting Imu on Pangea.

...

Dante had already searched several corridors without finding any trace of Luffy. Suddenly, he opened his eyes in a panic and, transforming into his hybrid form, flew off in a specific direction.

Upon arriving at a particular room, he saw Luffy about to be impaled by multiple arrows fired by Imu.

Summoning Murasama, he created an energy slash that destroyed the arrows, and with a single blow, he managed to catch a wounded and exhausted Luffy.

Luffy: "I just need to rest and regain my strength," he said, tongue lolling out, before collapsing unconscious.

Dante laid him on the ground and turned his gaze to Imu.

Imu was staring directly at him.

Imu: "Who are you?" he said in his authoritative tone.

Dante: "Ha," just a hollow laugh. He stood up, assuming an attack stance. "Just some vagabond passing by."

He sounded calm, but he was panicking. He expected to kill Imu quickly, but when he saw that the lifelines were infinite, he panicked.

And so the battle began.

Dante, using his speed and strength, tried to penetrate Imu's guard, but Imu could repel him with ease.

He summoned arrows, which appeared before him; he could move through the earth. He could use the abilities of all his subordinates.

When Dante managed to get close enough, he quickly severed a lifeline, only for it to regenerate, and in the process, he received a blow from Imu, damaging him both internally and externally.

Dante transformed into his full Grim Reaper form, but it was no use either. All the damage he inflicted was healed or reversed in a matter of seconds, only for him to end up with more wounds, more bruises, or broken bones.

Imu: "I like you," he said with a superior tone. "Fight for me."

At that moment, a pentagram appeared beneath Dante.

Dante felt as if they were trying to take control of his body and mind. He could barely stop the transformation, only managing to hold it back. He already knew what would happen if Imu succeeded, so he was preparing to commit suicide if that was the case. Then someone touched his back, and both the demonization and the pentagram vanished.

The camera turned to see Luffy in his Gear 5 form, looking a little more recovered.

Luffy: "Don't worry, Sensei, I'm fully recovered and ready to beat the crap out of this thing, shishishi."

And with that, Luffy launched himself back into the fight.

Dante remained on his knees, examining his wounds. He took a piece of cloth from his clothing, covered his most serious injuries, and joined Luffy in the fight.

Imu was now in a more difficult position; he had to take attacks from both of them, something that greatly annoyed him.

Luffy, in mid-air, transformed the 10 rings into 200, and using his arm like a spinning baseball bat, fired all of them.

Dante, on the other hand, created multiple weapons and fired them directly at Imu's lifelines, hoping to wear him down little by little.

Faced with this new pressure, Imu summoned several pentagrams from which shadows of his subordinates emerged.

It should be clarified that these aren't real but rather a manifestation of Imu's power and his connection to it. With this, I was able to create creatures resembling them to aid you in combat.

Luffy's eyes popped out at the ridiculous number of shadows that appeared, while Dante could only complain and curse his luck.

The sheer number of shadows quickly overwhelmed Luffy and Dante, forcing them to retreat and take cover in vain. Not to mention that Imu never stopped attacking.

Just when all seemed lost, two voices were heard.

???: "Santōryū: Enbima yonezu oni giri."

???: "Kaminari: Susanō no ikari."

The shadows above Luffy and Dante were destroyed by this combined attack.

Zoro and Luna emerged from the rubble, both injured but ready to continue fighting.

Sanji: "Don't rush things, moss head."

Zoro: "Shut up, Number 4."

Ace: "What kind of situation is this?"

At that moment, Zoro, Sanji, Luna, and Ace joined the fight, ready to assist Luffy and Dante.

Chaos reigned once more.

With the help of the others, Dante and Luffy were able to focus on Imu. But no matter how much they wanted to continue, they simply couldn't.

They had no viable way to defeat Imu. Even the sea stone wasn't enough, as Imu dispelled it quite quickly.

Imu tried to demonize some of the others, but luckily Luffy stopped him, though this only made him more injured and exhausted.

Dante looked at Luffy's face. He could fall at any moment. It was too soon. Luffy wasn't experienced or mature enough for this situation.

He also looked at the faces of the others: Zoro, Sanji, Ace, and especially Luna.

He couldn't forgive himself if anything happened to Luna, Gil, Nami, Hancock, or even Yamato, who could be considered his distant cousin.

Dante's POV

Seeing the situation, I decided to act.

I had already prepared for this, just in case everything went to hell.

I stood up and slowly walked over to where Imu was.

Dante: "Stop now!!" I shouted, grabbing everyone's attention. "Luffy, as a responsible adult, I can't let you take on duties like this." "What would become of my credibility as an adult if a brat like you does all this?"

At that moment, I looked directly at Luna.

She noticed something in my gaze, as I saw her expression shift from confusion to panic.

Dante: "Luna, say goodbye to everyone for me, please."

Luna: "WAIT!!" she yelled, but I ignored it.

Transforming into my hybrid form, I flew at high speed away from where Imu was.

Dante: "System, activate travel to another world; "When I tell you, start it," I told the system in my mind.

System: [Understood].

Luna and Luffy tried to intervene, but the shadows wouldn't allow it. Luffy almost reached me but couldn't, as Zoro, Sanji, and Ace stopped them.

I grabbed Imu by the neck; in response, she shot two arrows through my body.

Ignoring the pain and the blood trickling from my mouth, I began.

Dante: "System, activate it now."

System: [Understood].

With that, a rift opened in the sky, enveloping my body and Imu's.

Luna: "DAD!"

Luffy: "SENSE!"

I heard their screams; I just looked at them and smiled, giving them a farewell gesture.

And with that, the rift sucked Imu and me in, sending us to a multiversal cosmos.

The rift was connected to a tube that carried my body through this colorful space that could easily trigger an epileptic seizure.

In the midst of all this, I saw several bubbles levitating in this vast space; I can only assume that each bubble represents a different universe.

Since the tube only had room for me, Imu was the last one. He was forcibly ejected and fell into the void. I watched him disintegrate until he became nothing.

If I had tried to go with someone else earlier, the same thing would most likely have happened to them.

The tube had no direction; it was just there, without an end or a purpose.

Out of nowhere, one of the bubbles appeared in the middle of the path, causing me to crash into this universe.

Upon impact, I saw another rift open, just like the one that had pulled me out of the One Piece world, throwing me to the ground in a desert.

It should be noted that I was badly injured and had several broken bones.

[Congratulations, you have defeated Imu; her bounty is 2,500,000,000,000 PL].

That notification eased the pain and the bad taste in my mouth somewhat.

Dante: "System, which universe are we in?"

System: [We are in universe 198626839209].

Dante: "Right, and which one would that be?"

System: [Universe 198626839209].

I didn't say anything else, as I could sense that I wouldn't get the answer I wanted.

At that moment, several modified cars arrived. The people were scantily clad and had a punk aesthetic, as if this were the end of the world.

They started talking to me, but there was a problem: I didn't understand what they were saying, at least not completely, since I knew they were speaking English; I recognized words like "hostage," "take," and "boss." But I couldn't complete the sentences to understand what they were saying.

The problem is that I never learned English well.

(Note: there are two of us; we'll have to go back to Duolingo).

I only knew that I was most likely going to a post-apocalyptic world.

I quickly beat the guys up and stole everything from them. I signaled to them to take me to their base, which I hope they do.

While I was healing my wounds, I remembered that I had to stay in this world for 5 years until multiversal travel is reactivated.

Dante: "FUCK..."

Let's see if you can guess the universe.

The next chapter will be the final one and the epilogue of the One Piece universe, bringing this arc to a close and paving the way for the next.
