During the Credits: The Three-Needle Test
The movie fades to black. The stylized main credits begin to roll, featuring the names of the main actors and directors.
The scene opens on the serene, rebuilt Training Hall at sunset. Po performs a single, effortless, slow-motion kick, sending the first needle soaring silently through the air. For the duration of the main credits, the needle flies in a perfect, graceful arc. It passes flawlessly through the eye of the second needle as the credits continue.
After the final main credit has appeared, the screen goes black for a moment. We then see the third needle.
TINK!
The first needle finally strikes it head-on with such focused force that the tip of the third needle visibly bends.
Mid-Credits Scene: A Master's Peace
The screen fades in on a shimmering, golden landscape filled with swirling energy and countless, glowing peach blossom petals—the Spirit Realm.
Shifu appears, not old and weary, but in the vibrant prime of his life. He looks around in wonder before a familiar, gentle voice calls his name. He turns to see Master Oogway, who gives him a warm, knowing smile. They share a deep, respectful bow, master and student reunited.
As they begin to walk together, another figure approaches them through the golden mist. It is Tai Lung. There is no anger in his eyes, only a deep, quiet sorrow and regret. He stops before Shifu, unable to speak.
Shifu looks at his wayward son, and his expression is one of pure forgiveness. He steps forward and places a gentle hand on Tai Lung's shoulder. A single tear falls from Tai Lung's eye, dissolving into golden light as it hits the ground. At last, master and adopted son are reconciled and at peace.
The final image is of Shifu, Oogway, and Tai Lung standing together, watching the golden petals swirl around them.
[CUT TO BLACK. The detailed credits begin to roll.]
(A long, traditional credit scroll plays out against a black screen, listing the entire cast and crew.)
Post-Credits Scene: The Teaser
After the final credit has scrolled past and the screen has been black for a few seconds, a new scene appears.
The camera pans slowly through a dark and silent museum. Moonlight streams through a high window, illuminating priceless artifacts. The camera finally settles on a single, well-lit display case in the center of a large hall.
Inside the case, resting on a velvet pillow, are the dark, jagged, and seemingly inert broken pieces of the Red Stone of Petrification. A small plaque beneath it reads: Artifacts from the Defeat of the Tyrant Xian.
For a long moment, everything is still.
Then, a faint, sinister, deep-red light begins to glow from within the cracks of the broken stone. It pulses once, slowly.
Glow...
A low, ominous hum vibrates in the air.
...fade.
The glow pulses again, this time a little brighter, a little longer, casting a malevolent crimson light on the glass of the display case.
[FINAL, ABRUPT CUT TO BLACK]
Note: Master Yang's story concludes in a new series where he and Po defeat his evil brother, Yin. Master Yang will die in this series, leaving Po as the undisputed Spiritual Leader and Celestial Phoenix of the world, and thus he will not appear in Kung Fu Panda 6.
