"Huh? Captain Kronos?! Was that really a Sea King?"
Hearing Kronos speak, Asaq asked in confusion.
Kronos shook his head, narrowed his eyes slightly, and slowly walked to the edge of the ship, gazing out at the sea, which had only just settled after the massive wave.
"Not a Sea King. But you'll see what it is soon enough," he replied cryptically.
Just as everyone was trying to understand Kronos' words, the recently calmed sea surface began to bubble and churn again.
The crew immediately noticed the change and instinctively grew tense, raising their guard as they stared at the disturbance.
"...It's coming," Kronos said flatly.
His voice had barely fallen when the sound of surging seawater echoed around them.
From the bubbling sea, the shadows of several large ships began to emerge.
Splash! Splash!
Six coated warships broke the surface one after another!
As they rose from the deep, the air pressure caused the special resin coating on each ship to violently burst.
And it wasn't just the six warships—four submarines also surfaced soon after!
Kronos, however, remained calm. He had already sensed their presence during the Sea King encounter.
Their underwater approach may have been stealthy—but against Kronos' top-tier Observation Haki, such tactics were useless.
"So... trying to mimic Whitebeard's old tactic and attack from below the sea?" Kronos muttered coldly, eyeing the enemy fleet.
"But there's something even bigger coming… from above."
He turned his gaze toward the sky.
In the next second, a massive island emerged from the clouds—descending rapidly, dragging swirling clouds in its wake.
The floating island plummeted like a meteor, heading directly toward the Angel of Redemption!
And behind it, several smaller islands followed, falling in its path!
"What the hell?! An island falling from the sky?! Are you kidding me?!"
Asaq, Kent, Popron, and the others on deck all shouted in disbelief.
"Is that a meteorite?! No—no way! It's way too huge!"
While the crew reeled from shock, the massive main island had already fallen—
BOOM!!!
It slammed into the ocean, sending waves several meters high in all directions!
Thanks to Tornado's psychic powers, the Angel of Redemption remained steady and unharmed.
But the real threat came next—
The smaller islands were speeding down directly toward their ship!
If nothing was done, they would be crushed in an instant!
"Tch! How dare you attack Lord Kronos?! You'll pay for that!"
Albedo, who had been quietly standing beside Kronos, suddenly sprang into action!
A brilliant light flashed across her body. Her elegant dress vanished—replaced by a menacing black full-body armor!
Her graceful appearance transformed into something demonic and awe-inspiring.
A short scepter appeared in her hand, which quickly morphed into a massive, black, long-handled battle axe!
With a flap of her wings, Albedo launched herself into the air, flying straight at the incoming islands!
"Anyone who disrespects Lord Kronos... is unforgivable!"
With a thunderous roar filled with killing intent, she swung her axe at the first descending island.
The instant her weapon connected—
CRACK!!
The island shattered like glass!
Its remains didn't even fall—they disintegrated into fine dust, scattered by the wind!
One after another, Albedo destroyed the falling islands in midair, soaring and spinning as she cleaved them apart.
None of the smaller islands even got close to the Angel of Redemption.
"Jie hahahaha! Just as the rumors say... Even his subordinates are monsters!"
A voice cackled from the fallen main island, now floating in the sea.
A man with a buzzcut emerged from the wreckage, laughing wildly as he walked forward.
Meanwhile, all the ships that had surfaced were now fully deployed. Their decks were packed with Marines, and among them stood several black-suited agents—CP members.
The surfaced submarines had released mechanical floating platforms on the sea, and standing on them were dozens of Pacifista-type Kuma clones—cold, silent, and ready for combat.
"Jie hahaha! Kronos, fifth of the most notorious emperors on the sea! I've heard plenty about you!"
The buzzcut man sneered.
Kronos finally looked directly at the man.
"I've been wanting to meet you too," Kronos said calmly. "I've heard whispers, rumors... and now you've given me a reason to confront you directly."
The man raised his arms theatrically, flashing a mocking grin.
"You've been causing quite a stir on the seas lately, and the higher-ups aren't happy about it."
"Jie ha! Looks like it's time to reel you in!"
Kronos didn't interrupt. He stood quietly, letting the man rant on, listening in silence.
But Albedo beside him was clearly furious.
The murderous intent radiating from her was nearly suffocating—she could barely hold herself back.
No one insulted Kronos in front of her.
"You bastard...!"
Just as Albedo prepared to strike again, Kronos stopped her with a glance—silently ordering her to stand down.
The man continued, now grinning with mock politeness.
"Oh—how rude of me! First time meeting and I forgot to introduce myself."
He gave a mocking bow, then straightened with a twisted smile.
"My name is Kabalu. Former member of CP9. Now the captain of the Marine Scientific Research Armed Division.
I'm a Devil Fruit user—Lion Fruit. A floating man."
